DragonBreath?? lol. I don’t think you realize what you’re getting in yourself in for here lol. Always a good idea to look before you leap bro. I kinda admire your tenacity though.. reminds me of myself when I was a little pup trying to take on the big dogs. I don’t give two hoots who small your country is or how small or insignificant your country is compared to bona fide, legitimate countries like the USA or Mexico.. I already explained to you the reason why you guys produce a lot of decent fighters – because, as with Cuba – which by the way is a country that has an even larger population of homo and bisexuals than even your own, 67% of all Cuban men have admitted to having a least one experience of same sex lovin’ and a further 24% have admitted they were open to the possibility of going down that route and that they have actually fantasized about being with another man – everyone boxes in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican kids are virtually gloved up and taught to box within hours of being born, whereas nobody really gives a crap about boxing in almost every other country in the world, which sort of makes it kinda embarrassing that your country has never really managed to produce a truly great fighter. That’s the point I was trying to make bro.

People need to start giving Garcia credit. He’s young, hungry and comes to fight . His skills and power is getting better at 24 yrs.old . Skies the limit . I think he beats anyone at 140. Matthysse would be a very good fight but I don’t see that happening just yet. I think a fight with rios would be a classic. Two American born fighters of Latino descent. One Mexican the other puerto rican. It would be a classic. I would take Garcia .rios Is tough but he takes way too many punches. Garcia would tee off on him with power shots. Anyway something to think about.

WTF???.. I don’t get al this Puerto Rican pride thing you’ve got going on bro? Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there’s plenty of good folk over in your country. However, when it comes to the sport of boxing, I don’t see Puerto Rico as a great boxing nation. Sure they’ve got strength in numbers and have produced some decent little fighters over the years, but I can’t ever recall seeing a truly great Puerto Rican fighter in my time.. and I must have seen in excess of 350,000 fights since I first started watching this most noble and glorious of sports. Tito Trinidad was about the best Puerto Rican boxer I’ve seen in recent times, but let’s not forget he was wearing those illegal wraps for the vast majority of his career and there’s no doubting that he would’ve picked up numerous loses along the way if he was playing fair. Carlos Quintana was a pretty tidy boxer though.. I quite liked him.

KNOCKEDOUT!!!!!!

Gonzo the Dragonborn

Lucas Matthysse is going to beat the Jesus out of Danny Garcia. You people best know Angel and Danny don’t want none of none of him. Matthysse KO9 Danny Garcia. Take it to the bank.

El Terrible is one of my favorite fighters of all time… A true fighter who had some speed, some power and a lot of heart. Sadly, tonight he got retired by a Boricua who put him in lala land with a basic left hook.

I am also looking forward to see who wins in an intriguing upcoming match up ,Khabib Allakhverdiev

Fun night at the Barclays but to me it doesn’t compare to the Garden. Maybe it’s because the fights I’ve seen at the Garden are bigger fights, but also the Barclays is steeper and I found myself looking more at the screen that at the ring, which kind of defeats the purpose of going to the fights.

Mookie blaylock

he was suppose to beatup a old blown up featherweight rite ? public enemy causing a ruckus in his mom basement like he just won the lottery smh

Posted October 21, 2012 12:42 am

Tomato Can

rios/Garcia would be a good fight. I would take Garcia, but wouldn’t look past Rios, he finds ways to win.

Posted October 21, 2012 12:39 am

KNOCKEDOUT!!!!!!

That was a mirror image of the Left Hook that dropped Amir Khan but Khan got up and tried to fight where EriK Morales went through the Ropes then curled up in a fetal position and started petting his Chihuahua…

Posted October 21, 2012 12:38 am

Tomato Can

heck, Morales had so much flab in the lower mid section, that Gacia could have actually cut him with body body punches. That would have been sick.

Posted October 21, 2012 12:37 am

B Red

Rios would get stopped by Garcia

Posted October 21, 2012 12:35 am

KNOCKEDOUT!!!!!!

te tumbo – i’m half expecting Garcia to come out before the opening bell or especially if he loses. just to spoil Morales’ victory. anyway, win or lose, it’s a stirring spectacle watching Morales rushing to guard the gate. anything just as long as they let’im Fight. as every Boricua has learned, Garcia better watch out for that notorious brand of ring ferocity. it’s Real and it’s coming for Him.” Anyone know where this Moron is at??? probably in some Cantina singin his favorite Mexican Laliby, Cantah Y NO LLORES!!!!

Posted October 21, 2012 12:34 am

Quillen fought and won a tough fight, Mallanaggi should have lost, and Garcia earned himself fighter of the night with an exclamation type win over a beer drinking, should have been retired, Morales…

“No surprises but a good night.” No surprise at all.

I enjoyed all the fights, but boy, Paulie does not have the speed he used to. Cano was timing him and getting in some good shots. Tough fight to judge. I scored it a draw.

Garcia looked great but I expected nothing more from Morales–the fight never should have been made in the first place.

Quillin, with the exception of a few weak moments, looked great. After watching him beat a game Winky Wright, I knew he take the title from N’dam.

Alexander is lucky he’s young and quick, otherwise Bailey would’ve had him. Bit of a boring fight but a very good test for Alexander.

I didn’t watch any of the other undercard fights.

Adrian: It was a worse round for Erik.. he may start getting beat up forreal soon… Quillin did win against a top 7 MW… it was impressive also… 6+ kds from Peter, lol.

Q

They need to stop this fight… looks like his eye is gonna fall out.

Posted October 20, 2012 11:07 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

Great fight but I don’t rate either of those guys.. Quillin is a really nice guy and a decent fighter but he’s nothing special, IMO. N’Jikam has got to be borderline retarded the way he was getting caught by Quillin’s painfully telegraphed left hands. He was so wide open for them it was beyond ridiculous. What kind of fool wades in with their guard down time and time again after being badly hurt? N’Jikam could’ve won that pretty easily if he had some semblance of a brain in that thick skull of his. He’s obviously got a bit of a dodgy mandible and he has very little snap on his punches too. He does have a very big heart though. Props to both guys for putting on a great fight though.

Posted October 20, 2012 10:25 pm

Joseph Herron

No doubt, Q…Peter is class all the way. But you’re right…Eric should have been telling him to go to the body from the first round on.

Posted October 20, 2012 10:17 pm

Joseph Herron

Told you, Q…he never lost control of the bout after the fourth!! New Champ!!

Posted October 20, 2012 10:16 pm

Q

Joseph Herron: I think he could have helped him more buy telling Peter to throw that right to the body

Posted October 20, 2012 10:15 pm

Joseph Herron

Great win for Peter!! Can’t wait to feature him this Tuesday night on “The Pugilist KOrner”!!

9PM EST, Tuesday night!!

Posted October 20, 2012 10:15 pm

Q

I didn’t think he had it in him to drop him again

Posted October 20, 2012 10:13 pm

Joseph Herron

Eric Brown is actually a very good trainer but is in his first title fight with Peter…Quillin becomes the new WBO Middleweight Champ!!

Posted October 20, 2012 10:13 pm

Q

Beautiful win for Peter..wooooooow

Posted October 20, 2012 10:12 pm

Q

Joseph Herron: His trainer suuuuuuucks… He’s not giving him the right advice… to go to the body…

Posted October 20, 2012 10:09 pm

Joseph Herron

Quillin is alright…he’s in control of this fight and is simply trying to get N’Dam to open up…the Kid has this one!!

Posted October 20, 2012 10:07 pm

Joseph Herron

I love Peter’s ability to take a good punch. It almost seems that he’s willing to bait himself on the ropes to get N’Dam to let his hands go and leave himself vulnerable.

Great stuff!!

Posted October 20, 2012 10:05 pm

Q

HE HAS TO GO TO THE BODY, or he may get stopped late……. Quillin

Posted October 20, 2012 10:05 pm

Q

I think Peter is gassed.

Posted October 20, 2012 10:04 pm

Q

Joseph Herron: yeah, great timing, he needs to throw that right lead to the body… he’s sharp.

Posted October 20, 2012 10:01 pm

Joseph Herron

Quillin taking too much time off between explosions. He has to be careful that he doesn’t give away some rounds due to inactivity.

Posted October 20, 2012 10:01 pm

Dino

Quiilin will win this no doubt

Posted October 20, 2012 9:58 pm

Joseph Herron

Quillin looks really good and has set up the left hook with remarkable precision.

I like what I see from Quillin against a very elusive fighter.

Posted October 20, 2012 9:56 pm

Q

that’s one brilliant left hook on QUillin

Posted October 20, 2012 9:49 pm

Q

Quillin started headhunting… he needs to be going for body shots still and jabbing… he could have jumped on him…

Posted October 20, 2012 9:45 pm

Q

WHo? This is boxing not sparring… Peter IS PUTTING ON A SHOW

Posted October 20, 2012 9:41 pm

Koolz

Peter Quillian got schooled by Golovkin in sparing
last year!
