Manny Pacquiao climbing 8 divisions throughout the years, and winning titles in each is hard to fathom by some. Imagine how much natural power he had since his beginning in the flyweight division. It almost seems unfair to fight a man that could generate natural power likened only to the sun. As the saying goes, Punchers are born. Manny Pacquiao is a power puncher combined with electrifying speed and boxing ability that no other fighter has been blessed with. Tyson was a puncher. The Old Mongoose Archie Moore was a puncher. Duran was a puncher. There have been others, but Manny Pacquiao is set apart because he made his gallant climb to the top of the mountain with such ferocity. The reign of terror that I allude to often brings back chills. These were elite fighters that were being shattered by a man that is small in stature compared to his opponents. We saw a Ricky Hatton pulverized in front of our eyes. Erik Morales savagely beaten. Miguel Cotto tortured and beaten to a pulp. Anonio Margarito battered and defeated as they all were. The world took notice and questioned why some commissions and states would let such a destructive force abuse other human beings. The naysayers began to question Manny’s power. They couldn’t believe man could attain such power. They have never stopped questioning, but the truth is that Manny has never failed a test. He is a clean fighter and is transparent when it comes to testing him. Manny has recently taken all the tests. he passed with flying colors. Manny Pacquiao is the poster model of sports. Clean cut, smiling, humble, honest, sincere and loving. We need to encourage others in this world to “BE LIKE MANNY.” Trust me when I say that in our generation, Manny Pacquiao is an exemplary role model for all of us to follow. Manny is the best!

How does a guy move from featherweight and average one at best to KOing junior middleweights how does a guy mover up 8 weight divisions and gain speed and power and can take these big hits from guys and keep coming? Never in the history of the sport has anyone done such a feat, But Manny did the energizer bunny was juiced to the gills his conditioning coach was giving him a mystery sake for years. Poor bastard now he has nothing cheaters never win and winners never cheat. And just because he was never busted dont make him clean.

Terrible fight, Arum does not want to risk Pacquiao, so he pairs him up with a light fisted junior welterweight who cannot punch really hard and know matters if he boxes he is not getting a decision on a HBO / Top Rank Card. No way! This fight should not be PPV, don’t buy it. Pacquiao by TKO or decision, no mystery or challenge.

Manny Pacquiao has never failed a drug test ever. He’s as pure as the air we breathe. The haters are always trying to discredit this iconic legend, and he continues to prove them all wrong. There were story written by a very credible person (Thomas Hauser world renown boxing writer) that said Mayweather failed three tests, but somehow it gets swept under the carpet. Roy Jones and many others failed tests, but no one really jumps on them. Gentlemen, it’s because Manny Pacquiao is considered by myself and by most ring observers the greatest pure fighters of all time. Manny was tested at the highest level in both the Rios and Bradley fights. He destroyed both of them systematically, but now some people have begun to point fingers because he’s not knocking them out. Manny cannot satisfy those that want to see him fail. Sorry gentlemen, Manny Pacquiao has cemented his rightufl position as the greatest fighter of all time by doing what all others have not been able to do. Manny has won 8 division titles and now has the privilege as do his fans to factually call him the greatest fighter of all time. Why? Because he is alone in this historic accomplishment. Manny is one of the most intellectual fighters in boxing both inside and outside the ring. Can anyone tell me how many other fighters in the history of boxing have done the following, and this is not the full list of accomplishments: Elected as a congressman of a country, laced the cover of TIME Magazine, Chosen by the top writers in the world as the most influential person in the world, Successful and sought after Actor, Singer, Writer, Model, Inspiration to the world, Coach/Player of a basketball team, Invited by Presidents for dinner, the only 8 division boxing champion in history. I could keep going, but no one has achieved this list. On October 22, fans across the globe will be tuned in to see this spectacular fearless fighter take on an unbeaten, bigger, younger fighter in Chris Algerie that recently shocked the world by defeating one of the most avoided fighters in boxing today, Ruslan Provodnikov. Algerie now has his sights set on Manny Pacquiao. I can guarantee you right now that 99% of fans on ESB will be watching this fight live. A Manny Pacquiao fight si the story of the day. Manny takes precedence over most of the world’s situations. There will never be a more popular figure in our life times or ever for that matter. We need to salute and appreciate Manny Pacquiao for fighting in our life time. For there will never be another fighter like him that will come our way again. Trust me when I say this, Manny Pacquiao is the most loyal fighter of all time, and his fans are the most loyal to him. Manny is the best!

(ahem) . . .

IF Cotto ever grows the balls to collect a $10 million PPV-payday, Canelo is waiting to Blow his Ass UP then Beat it Down in explosive fashion.

Juanmono got his ass Ripped v. Vargas who seemed determined to send Lopez into permanent retirement, in less than five rounds (lol).

Oquendo basically hired as a tune-up undercard for Mares.

You fools talking crap about Maidana? Maidana beat Broner. Broner would beat Rios in a heartbeat and also Algieri. Question: Why isnt Pacquioa looking to fight or call out, Broner, Danny Garcia, Thurman, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan, Lucas Mattysse?? The excuse has alwasy been Mayweather doesnt want to fight. FINE. BUT what about all these other fighters? What?, Paquioa can’t call them out (or REQUEST) a fight with any one of those? Does Paquioa really have to ask permission to Arum for everything? Does he not have control over his profession? Do you Paquioa fanboys NOT want to see those fights? At least someone that the casual boxing fan knows or recognizes. Algieri?….. Really?

Pacquiao, winner of ancient glory.
Fighting for the right,
Fighting with his might,
With the strength of ten, ordinary men.

Pacquiao, people are safe when near him.
Pacquiao, only the evil fear him.
Softness in his eyes,
Iron in his thighs,
Virtue in his heart,
Fire in every part,
Of the Mighty Pacquiao.

Gentlemen, must we have to resort to all this vulgarity. I’m just a fan of Manny Pacquiao whom happens to be the biggest PPV Boxing Star of all time. World wide including those that can’t see Manny fight, no one can compare to Manny Pacquiao. I can guarantee you right now that the numbers will be much bigger than most people think. People must understand that Manny is a global icon. He is not just an athlete, but an actor, entertainer, congressman, model, basketball coach/player, singer, composer, Bible Study teacher, Philanthropist and a true, sincere likable human being. Manny Pacquiao’s popularity is like a tree that has branches that continue to grow and grow more branches as time goes by. We are not talking about a Mayweather, Canelo, GGG. We are talking about a fountain of life that continues to give life every time he appears on PPV. I for one will be trying to make the flight to Macau China, albeit a challenge, but I don’t stand alone in this challenge. People all over the world want to see Manny Pacquiao fight. Let’s forget who the opponent is. Manny is the sell and what people want to see. The Pride of The Philippines needs to be replaced by the Pride Of The People. I know many of you are criticizing this fight, but i can guarantee you right now that you will find a way to see this fight. Manny seems to have that mesmerizing magnetic appeal that makes you want to buy his fights. Macau China appreciates Manny Pacquiao as it appreciates the sun rising. They are willing to pay top money to see a master boxer that has rebounded from the atrocity of a painful loss albeit against a fighter that hired the world’s infamous Ped Supplier to The USA Olympic track and Field Team. Manny Pacquiao got back up when no one gave him a chance. They said he was done. They laughed at his agony. They kicked him to a curb. Unfortunately, those same people that laughed at him are stunned at what he’s doing today. A champion again. He’s bigger than Super Man. His story if real. Manny Pacquiao is now a Super Hero to those that have dealt with tough times in life. The poor and hopeless can now look up to a man that has faced and conquered the worst of times in his personal and professional life. I am constantly inspired by Manny Pacquiao. I know some of you think I go overboard at times, but just it’s true appreciation of a human being. When a man has that type of influence on people he generates happiness, strength, positivity and love that helps heal. Trust me when I say this, Manny Pacquiao takes nothing personal. He understands if you don’t cheer for him. he still cares about you. Manny is the best!

Pacquiao’s* ring-profile stands for the exact opposite of what true fight-fans want and appreciate.

Boxing fans need heroes in their lives. Manny Pacquiao fulfills that need for all boxing fans. His next opponent Chris Algeri is way in over his head, and will most likely get overwhelmed by the impact and size of a Manny Pacquiao fight. Algieri must be commended for stepping up to fight the legend. He will get a good payday and then return to his studies and other career. Manny Pacquiao will continue to stand on top of the mountain that he built. Success leads to expectations. The world wants more from you. The bar is raised a little higher. Fans got spoiled seeing Manny Pacquiao do what had never been seen before inside a ring. His explosiveness and pure natural ability were amazing to see. At 35 years of age, Manny Pacquiao is at a cross road. He’s beaten the best and has accomplished more than any fighter in history. He has called out the best of the best, and no one answers his calls. The price of greatness can also be a deterrent for other fighters to take him on. Once he beats Algieri, the talk will begin as it always does. A new name will come up, An old name will continue to be brought up. Manny Pacquiao has been boxing’s top super star since he turned professional at the age of 16. Manny for 19 years has been the main attraction of sports. Today, no one wants to step up to fight this legend. Not Porter, Thurman, Mayweather, Marquez, Cotto, GGG. Canelo, Quillin, M. Garcia. D. Garcia or anyone else. Manny Pacquiao is a treasure that is found only once. I urge fighters to find the courage to step into the ring with him so that fans will be happy. Trust me when I say this, Manny Pacquiao is a bigger part of our lives than we think. He is part of our families. He is our friend. Step up fighters and take this man on. Manny is the best!

TARK

Floyd will never fight anyone as good as Pacquiao.

Maidana LOST to Alexander and LOST to Khan… Hardly ATG’s.

Pacquiao KO’d Cotto… A true ATG… A World Champion in 4 Divisions… Pac knocked Marquez down 5 times in 4 fights, beating him twice… Also an ATG who won World Championships in 4 Divisions

One little question… Who did Maidana beat who’s an ATG?

Thats funny, I could have sworn he went up and fought at the 154 division and WON a bogus belt. His weight dont matter. The fact of the matter he was there at the 154 division. Floyd comes in and fights at 146lbs and Pacquioa at 150lbs? Yet Pacquioa can’t compete like Mayweather….haha. That is sad. Thank you for falling for that. Now you know why Pacquioa will never be at the same level as Mayweather.

Manny is not even a 147 fighter. He has never fought at 154 he fought at 150. Manny started at 106 and is 7 divs up at 147. What floyd does with his weight can’t be compared to manny as floyd is way bigger naturally.

Pacquioa should look to fight at 154lbs. Didnt he already fight at that weight, so whats stopping him? Mayweather jumps between 147lbs and 154lbs without no problems. Im just saying, cause of lately Pacquioa has been fighting some really crappy fights at 147lbs. At 154 there are alot of big moneymaking fights he can get before he retires. Heck, might even help his legacy. Fighting the likes of Algieri who no one will remember isnt good for buisness…

Whoa another floydumb who thinks he and floyd followers are more special than other fans. Your truly an idiot. Floyd hasn’t faced the best comp in years. He always takes the easy route. Manny fans like GGG because he is humble just like the great pac. The way floyd talks you would think he was a machine like Tyson was but he couldn’t knock the chocolate off a caramelo koala. Maidana face didn’t have one mark on it after floyd fought him. Not one. That’s a face khan made look like the elephant man. You floyd fans are delusional and don’t like to talk facts. You believe every word that comes out of his mouth. Like when he said he earned 100 mill in one fight He never has and never will for one fight, he also has to pay a whole lot of that to Uncle Sam. His ppv numbers are high as people pay to see him loose, but he won’t loose when he fights all the past it guys or easy beats. What pound for pound king would have fought baldomir over margorito. A skirt one that’s who.

Posted July 17, 2014 9:10 pm

No such thing as a “Flomo”

Here’s the big difference between Mayweather fans and Pacquiao fans. Mayweather fans are BOXING fans who happen to think Floyd Mayweather is the best P4P fighter in the world, and maybe one of the all time greats. We like other fighters and might follow Andre Ward, GGG, Adonis Stevenson, and others. Pactards only started following the sport when Manny was on his bogus, steroid induced streak over previous Mayweather victims. Mayweather fans would not vote for Floyd if he ran for office. Mayweather fans would not postone their child’s surgical procedure if Floyd was fighting that night. (yes, a dumb Pinay did that). Crime rates do not do down just because Floyd fights. Pactards really should be ashamed of themselves. Manny will continue to fight until all his brain cells are gone because you idiots don’t have a life of your own.

Gentlemen, Manny Pacquiao will be back inside the boxing ring come November 22, 2014. The lucky site is Macau China, which was host to Manny Pacquiao’s triumphant return to the ring. As many of you are aware of, I am a big Manny Pacquiao fan for the right reasons. Yes he’s a pugilist that pummels his opponents in a fight, but he is a master of his craft. I can truly say that many of the Manny Pacquiao naysayers criticize Manny because they don’t quite understand his fighting style. To those that don’t have the eye, Manny looks like a wild man jumping in and out while throwing 1000 punches from anywhere. They don’t see the science, accuracy, timing and the confusion inside Manny’s opponents. Manny does things that sometimes make no sense, but it’s all calculated. Fans are very fickle sometimes, and spoiled. During Manny’s Famous Reign of Terror, he was leaving a cemetery of battered souls on the canvas that even had me questioning why I would cheer on such a beast. I am pro life and actually thought Hatton, Diaz and others were on their way out. I wanted no harm to come to them, and thankfully they recovered. We must understand that this is the hurt sport and Manny Pacquiao puts a lot of hurt on everyone he fights. This from a man that never lost sight of his humble beginnings. He knows poverty. He’s seen the faces of struggling people that have no hope. He is a man with a huge heart that never intends to hurt anyone permanently in the ring. Does anyone notice how all of Manny’s opponents end up being great friends with the man afterwards? It’s because Manny is a class gentleman that cares about people even though he is seen by the majority of fight fans as the greatest pure fighter of all time. Manny’s rise to greatness is a fairy tale story, I hope some of you have seen his great Film Papakman or the Documentary that is breaking records all over the world simply called “MANNY.” This is a story of a legendary man that we should be proud to call the Peoples Champion. Just as he is a congressman for the people outside the ring, he is also judge and jury inside the ring. As a fan, I was curious and started counting Manny’s contributions to the world, and after writing them down for 6 hours, I gave up counting, too many. When it’s all said and done, no one will remember the names of Mayweather, Marquez, Margarito, Diaz, Morales, Barrera, De La Hoya, Cotto, Bradley or other good and great fighters, but they will remember one. Manny Pacquiao will leave a name to be treasured and admired for centuries to come. A Mount Pacquiao may just be chiseled out in granite. What’s most impressive in Manny Pacquiao’s boxing career is that every fight he has seems to be more anticipated than the last. trust me when I say this, Manny Pacquiao is more than just a fighter. He’s more than just a singer or actor. He’s more than just a congressman. Manny Pacquiao is all a person can be. Manny is the best!

Manny Pacquiao has set a date for another highly anticipated fight. The NBA, UFC, NFL and every other sports organization cannot compare with the excitement of a Manny Pacquiao fight. The world loves and respects Manny Pacquiao more than anyone. Save the date of November 22, 2014 so that you will see a true legend at work against an unbeaten Chris Algieri. Algieri is a real life Rocky Balboa story, but Chris Algieri won’t beat Manny Pacquiao on this night. Today, Manny Pacquiao is the only name that carries such magic and influence throughout the world. There is no bigger name in sports. Manny has done it all. He has fought the best and beat the best throughout his illustrious boxing career. Manny brings life to the name of his opponent. He makes them famous. The King of the ring has such is Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao. He is the peoples champion and that cannot be denied by anyone. The truth of The matter is Manny Pacquuiao has called out everyone from 140-160 and no one wants to risk fighting him. Forget about Floyd Mayweather, he is irrelevant. We all know that he is simply scared. Lets not give him any more ink. Ped Man Marquez is a coward as he and his Angel Hereida mix want nothing to do with another fight against the greatest pure fighter of all time. Macau China will be more populated by millions of people on this night if that is even possible. Everyone wants the opportunity to see Manny Pacquiao fight. Manny Pacquiao is An inspiration to all of us. Why he was blessed with more ability than most of us is a question we can ask forever. What we Should all do is Admire, respect and applaud the man because he makes this world a better place. Manny is a man that is an example to our kids our families and our society. 8 division titles makes him the best ever, bar none. He is the best period. I think its time that all boxing fans give him his just due. We will never see such a monument come this way again. I for one will try and make that trip to Macau china, I highly suggest all of you try also. There are plenty of fundraisers one can offer to make extra money. Manny needs our support because he is our leader in The ring. Trust me when I say this. There will never be another Manny Pacquiao ever again. Manny is truly the best!

I for one cannot wait for Algieri to shock the world in this one. He will use angles, pitter pat punches and SKILLS to totally confuse the aging Manny. Algieri takes this one on the scorecards. I am the greatest fight PROPHET ever born!!!!

I guess Algieri had better enroll in medical school pretty soon as his boxing career will be over after he is destroyed by Manny.

You sound CRAZY the Top Rank stable is TOTALLY depleted we know the upside of most of the fighters there… They have Marquez who is an ATG but also about to be 41 years old and on his way towards retirement… He has ALREADY fought Pac Man 4x and also Bradley… Bradley is young but he has already faced Manny 2x and Marquez once who else is he gonna fight? Bradley is not gonna rule the 147 pound class he already lost to Manny 2x in the eyes of most. Alvarado? Rios? these are both guys that appear on the way down after booking losses…They have Pacquiao who is an ATG but again has pretty much milked EVERY rematch to death and requires BIG guarantees for fights where his sales are declining SHARPLY… Reality is that the Golden Boy/Haymon connection has ALOT of fresh talent around ie Canelo, Thurman, Porter, Broner…The BEST thing that could happen to Manny would be Bob Arums death which would likely open the door to lucrative bouts between these warring promotional entities.. Pac Man only has a couple years MAX being able to bang at the top level then he is done you could see that against Bradley if you looked.. Even Freddy said “he looked SLOW” ….

I do not see anyone salivating on this match-up (if you are, don’t let anyone know coz you will be ridiculed). No suspense. I won’t fear for Pacquiao’s health as I did when he fought Marquez or Margarito or Cotto, or even de la Hoya. Algieri is at best a B-fighter with ok boxing skills and hardly any power. Seriously. I’d rather see Rios again with Pacquiao than this turd. Actually, I’d rather see Pacquiao play pingpong with Marquez. This is so bad, I’d rather watch women’s highschool soccer than this one.

lol

Honestly, I will buy this in the fall instead of Mayweather Maidana II. I like both Mayweather and Maidana and their first fight was great but the second will just be a repeat with Floyd winning more easily. On the other hand Algieri has long arms and great technical skills that could shock Pacman and the world. Remember Pac hasn’t stopped an undefeated fighter since Solis back in 2007 so he’s going to have to win on points and the one thing Algieri can compete on is technical boxing. The unknown is how does Algieri do against southpaws? His last fight against a southpaw was against Acuna last September which Algieri won by stoppage, although Acuna is admittedly light opposition. Still, it’s a match up that’s got me excited, can’t wait.

Algerie is a champ, and that’s good and all. He’s even undefeated, but he hasn’t gained any noterighity other than beating Provo. Top that off with the fact Algieri’s not even a welter weight, and most will probably think he shouldn’t be getting this fight yet. In a year or who knows, but not yet…

The oracle of Delphi

PEEJ, have you watched the previous times that Manny was “KO’d”? One was a body punch, the other one I don’t even know what to call it. These were knockdowns from which he did not get up for whatever reason, weight drained or he threw the fight. He did get up after 10 count. These were not near to what happened to Pac against Marquez in the 4th fight with a lucky and/or a PED-enhanced punch…. He was wobbled by Bradley in the second fight, but he had been wobbled before by Morales and Marquez. He never was near being knocked out in those instances, just wobbled for 2-3 seconds…the Marquez punch was something completely else and unique, something different in his career…lucky or drug-enhanced monster punch.

Gentlemen, I think many of you don’t quite understand that Algieri is a tougher fight for the legendary Manny Pacquiao than Thurman, Porter and Canelo. Algieri is mobile and a good well rounded boxer. His strongest asset is his ability to compete and his will to win. He is also a much bigger man than Manny Pacquiao. Thurman IMO is more talk than substance. He has yet to beat anyone of top quality. He was rocked and almost knocked out by Soto Karass. He does not like getting backed up. I’m not Asold on this loud mouth at all. He was actually humble at one time, but he now acts like he is something special. Manny would seriously hurt him because he would possibly fight Manny. Porter would get wiped out quickly. Manny made him quit more than once in sparring sessions. This would be an easy win for Many. Canelo is too stiff and telegraphs all his punches. He is not agile or mobile and would have fits against Manny. I see Manny knocking him out before 5 rounds. Algieri is being somewhat underestimated, but he unbeaten for a reason. Unfortunately for him, he’s fighting a legend, and a vicious punch. No one beats Manny on a one fight basis. No one. Lok for Manny to KO Algieri before the 3rd round. Manny Pacquiao begins his second reign of terror, trust me on this. Manny is the best!

Posted July 16, 2014 5:00 pm

SREDMOND

Tark, so NOW its all about fighters being “Undefeated” in order to face Floyd??? Well that takes Manny Pacquiao RIGHT off the list… We have not seen Maidana knocked COLD by a guy who used to fight at 126 as did Manny… You cannot have it BOTH ways, we KNOW you are embarrassed after the Lara loss but use what little gray matter you have… Bottomline is that Maidana won a World Championship by handing Broner his FIRST loss which was a MORE significant victory than either Porter or Thurman own… And don’t bore me with the Malignaggi win, Paulie has 7 LOSSES and was stopped 2x before…. Maidana is a TOUGH customer and hard night for everyone he fights absent Alexander who had himself together that night… Stop your whining and figure out some BETTER excuses for the Lara loss you BUM…

Algieri has never lost, and beat a world championship caliber fighter with one eye slammed shut. True grit.

Maidana lost to Alexander, Khan, and Kotelnik, can’t seem to knock a good fighter out, and is a wide open target.

Algieri isn’t a solid opponent either… but Floyd needs to fight Pacquiao — or fight somebody who can box and punch damned well like Porter, Thurman, or Brook.

^BUT what about pac fight somebody who can box and punch damned well like Porter, Thurman, or Brook.

DOUBLE STANDARD. Wow, justifying this fight. Unreal. Did you call Ruslan a world championship caliber fighter? haha because he had a competitive fight w/ tim bradley? hahaha OMG. Really!? Ruslan has no real skills fool. He was lucky to get off the friday night fight circuit! He couldn’t close the deal on Algerie, who’s a kickboxer, who after being knocked down EASILY adjusted and easily, WITH ONE EYE, outboxed Ruslan the rest of the fight. FOH. world championship caliber fighter! LOL

THIS GUY.

Posted July 16, 2014 4:51 pm

PEEJ

Didn’t Floyd fight Canelo who just happened to beat your guy Lara? Didn’t Floyd beat Marquez who happened to beat Pac? Floyd is rematching Maidana because people for some reason felt like Floyd lost to him. What is wrong with the rematch. There are always going to be someone to fight out there. There are always new boxers coming up. Porter and Brook have fights lined up. Plus neither of the 3 are known names to sell a fight. They need a little more exposure.

Gentlemen, let the celebrations begin. The date has been set for the greatest pure fighter of all time (Manny Pacquiao) to enter the squared Circle once again. The excitement seems to be brewing around the world as usual because this is more than just a fight. The anticipation of watching the legendary Manny Pacquiao make his walk to the ring is similar to watching mankind take his first step on the moon. Chris Algeri must be commended for actually agreeing to the terms, now all that’s left is for Chris to sign the contract, which will be a major challenge. I know the critics will begin trying to pick this young unbeaten fighter apart, but they must remember that he just beat a guy (Provodnikov) that everyone was afraid to fight. Algeri is a young, athletic well rounded boxer, and he has the courage and guts of a real fighter. We all saw how he dug down deep within himself after having been dropped and had his eye closed. He showed character as he went on to win his toughest challenge. Chris Algeri deserves a lot of credit and no criticism. Unfortunately for him, he faces in Manny Pacquiao the most ferocious, athletic, intelligent, fighting machine in the history of boxing. There’s no need for me to give you his history or examples of what Manny Pacquiao can do. We’ve all seen it and have been in awe of the masterful boxing and devastating power he possesses. Manny will capture the world’s attention and be front page of all the world media and front page of the local newspapers if they’re still around. The World Cup just finished, and by all accounts, the viewing numbers were out of this world. Manny Pacquiao viewers will beat the World Cup ratings. HBO will receive another huge rating because of what Manny Pacquao brings to the table. No other fights need to be added because Manny Pacquiao carries fights on his own. You will be surprised at the PPV numbers for this fight. Algeri stepped up, but other fighters like the cry baby coward that has acne all over himself (Marquez) ran like a chicken. Mayweather also continued with his lame excuses and wants no part of Manny Pacquiao. And the rest of them that include Porter, Thurman, Canelo, D. Garcia, M. Garcia all want no part of stepping into the ring with Manny Pacquiao. These guys are suppose to be fighters. Manny Pacquiao has never ducked anyone. he fought the best of his time, but others won’t. This fight will let people know that Manny Pacquiao is yet to reach his prime. he will use his power to end this fight. Algeri is a good athlete, but he cannot compare to Manny’s athleticism. If he tries to use those silly little movements he used against Provodnikov, he wis going to get plastered. He will have all sorts of trouble with Manny’s style. The feints, speed, power, ring generalship. The right hooks and left hands will land often, and when Algeri gets dropped, he isn’t going to get up. Sorry Chris, this is not a good match up for you. Manny is an illusion from the outside looking in, but once you get in there, you will be mesmerized by all the tools he has. Algeri will not see the punches coming. My neighborhood will begin preparing for the Manny’s fight festival we have one month out for each of his fights. This will be a big celebration. Trust me when I say this. Manny Pacquiao will bring happiness and joy to his fans throughout thew world on November 22. We will all be able to have a great peaceful Thanksgiving just a few days after. Mark your Calendars for this explosive event. I will attempting to see this fight live in Macau China, but it will be a serious challenge for me. Any donations would be appreciated. Manny is the best!

Kato3388 my friend, okay, man walking on the moon might be a little bit of stretch, but being their live in person to see Manny make that walk is an electrifying experience. The man puts on a show like no one else. This is a man that has an aura of invincibility. He has a certain mystique that has everyone on their feet cheering, screaming, applauding, smiling, and crying tears of joy, and that’s only his ring entrance. The look on his face is that of a predator getting ready to stalk and dismantle his prey. As he enters the ring, the ovation and thunderous excitement he brings to the arena erupts like a volcano. The experience is surreal. Manny Pacquiao is a fighter that comes around only once in a life time. See him live if you can.

If you keep getting hit square on the chin eventually you will go down. Happened to Mercer, has happened to Holyfield, happened to Tyson. You keep getting hit cleanly on the chin eventually you are going to fall. And that is all that happened. Not to mention Pac has been KOd before. Bradley in the first fight didn’t hurt Pac but he hurt him in the 2nd fight. Why is that?

Acting like a guy must be juicing because he finally caught his opponent is just WEAK… FACT is that Manny got baited into running into a perfectly thrown shot that would have slain any number of boxers… He is a MAN not a Robot, JMM is an excellent technical fighter with powers of recovery in league with Holyfields… Face it Manny got drilled and there are no excuses worth printing.

Drago I understand what u saying but when zab Judah was undisputed ww champ he and Floyd agreed to fight for the titles but zab lost his tune up. Floyd still fought zab but didn’t get any credit. So I think Pac is better off fighting this bum instead of ruslan. It dont always workout trying to plan a fight with someone who have a fight on the table cuz it can go either way. Besides mayweather who else can he fight at ww and earn stripes

After 4 fights u people think Pac is that much better than Marquez. Marquez is the type of fighter I compare Pac to. That’s seem to be the level which is pretty damn good. Truth be told none of us really think the porters Thurmans brooks of the world can really beat Pac. We all want Pac vs May because as long as they face other opponents we will find a way to discredit their win. There is no one in the ww division that we will pick over Pac but mayweather and vise versa

You know Oscar fought both Sturm and Forbes on HBO as tuneups leading up to big ppv fights Arum should do the same with this one. Im a proud Pac fanatic but im not a sucka. For me Pacs next fight is 11/29 not 11/22.

Pac was going after Provo. Its just natural to beat the man that beats the man you want.

Posted July 16, 2014 2:06 pm

Boxtradamus

Props to Arum for taking MY advice but he should have explored the Broner option since Floyd already took Maidana. Pac vs Broner would DO better than Pac vs. Algieri…..You also have Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Thurman, and Porter. I can’t complain TOO much about facing a CHAMP though.

The oracle of Delphi

In 4 fights Marquez had never knocked Pac down. In the fifth he knocked him down twice. Typically, punching power does not increase with going up in weight, typically knockout percentage goes down, like in Pac’s case. Either Marquez knocked Pac out with a lucky perfect punch OR he unnaturally increased his punching power by a lot. I don’t buy into your argument that all of a sudden Pac’s chin became weaker. He has been wobbled in the past, but he does have an excellent chin. Marquez hit him with similar great punches, but never had knocked him or totally out. So really lucky after 42 rounds (or PEDs in a higher weight class), it is that simple…

Lets see hecdog says he fights the best. Lets see his biggest wins are against guys coming off recent lost. Berrera,Morales, cotto, margarito, Mosley, Hatton, clotty, Rios, delahoya. None of these fighter came in with a 3 fight winning streak only one was Bradley who was undefeated. I still give him props for Hatton I think that was Pac at his peak. I blame the promoter for keeping him fighting in house fighters. Pac is a good fighter but due to the politics we will never know how good same goes for floyd.

Provodinikov took some big punches from this kid but Provo has an iron jaw I’m not so sure how PAC will take it.He took big punches from Bradley but isn’t known for his power.Algieri is bigger than Bradley and possibly throw bigger bombs than Bradley.Throws pretty good combinations good footwork all the tools you need to beat Pacquiao….

Manny why ppv this seem to be a tune up fight but for who. Bradley 3 or Marquez 5 I never once heard anyone mention this kid name. Now he fights Pac but I like the double standard here for fraud weather

Posted July 16, 2014 1:38 pm

PEEJ

People need to stop saying Marquez beat Pac by a lucky punch. Marquez has been constantly hitting Pac with the right hand in every fight and in every fight he has hurt Pac. At a higher weight and as many times Pac has been hit his chin was eventually gonna crumble and it did against Marquez. There was nothing lucky about it. As a matter of fact Pac tried to feint Marquez and Marquez didn’t move and as soon as Pac came in boom. That is all there is to it.

Either way its a no hoper, I don’t think Pacquiao is a coward but the contradictions are massive… Fact is that Mayweather is getting MORE flack for facing MORE dangerous opposition… Bradley is a danger to outfight or outpoint a guy but he has almost no stopping power and Manny beat him before… Rios was coming UP to 147 for the first time AFTER a loss and now we are gonna have Algieri come up after barely getting by Provo and with almost no cred at this level….If Mayweather fought this trifecta the critiques would rain down, I am not saying that Bradley is not a very good fighter but he was CLEARLY beaten before so what did it REALLY prove?

The oracle of Delphi

Floyd’s last 5 fights: Maidana, Alvarez, Guerrero, Cotto, Ortiz
Pac’s last. 5 fights: Bradley, Rios, Marquez, Bradley, Marquez.

Floyd fought 2 bums (Ortiz, Guerrero) vs Pac’s 1 bum (Ortiz).

Floyd dominated Marquez, who beat Pac by a lucky punch. On the other hand, Pac destroyed Cotto, who almost beat Floyd. Weight really didn’t matter. Floyd beat Alvarez by weight draining him, same could be said for Pac vs. Cotto.

The difference between these 2 fighters is Pac’s loss against Marquez in a sport where knockout loss happen when a fighter is all action like Pac (vs an all safety fighter like Floyd).

The buttom line, Floyd ducked Pac more than vice versa. That’s what will be in the history books! Both are HOFers..

Kato, Guerrero, Baldy and Ortiz were well above Algieri who was fighting in clubs not so long ago… Lets not forget that Ruslan is a bit of a Cinderella story himself and is not some guy hanging at the top for long… Baldy beat Judah who at that time was a TOP talent despite Kosta waxing him, he had the lineal belt so why would Floyd not take it at WW?? He then fought Judah who had the belt before being upset (might have the order wrong) so no stone was left unturned… Guerrero had been a World Champ on multiple occasions and had a couple of damn good wins at 147 pounds before Mayweather fought him, Ortiz had been prospect of the year, he had grabbed the WBC belt by handing Berto his first loss in an FOTY candidate… All 3 were World Class fighters… Manny is reportedly gonna fight Algieri at 147 where this neophyte has not boxed to my knowledge as a pro based on him BARELY getting by Provo who himself is not a big time player… This is NOT like Algieri upset Danny Garcia at 140, this is a VERY weak fight…

Props to Algieri. Like Boxy and Tumbo always clearly state about Maytwitters opponents, they’re unbeaten, they’re World Champions, yes Algieri is unbeaten and beat a fighter that so many were afraid to face but this is at least 2 steps down from the level of competition he should be facing. Don’t’cha think?

I really have no problem with this fight other than the fact it is on PPV. But this is the time we live in now and these PPVs are always going to happen. People can claim boycott all they want, it is clear that doesn’t work because there are always people and fans wanting to watch their favorite fighter fight. Now if Arum can understand that people also want a good undercard then he could get a few more purchases out of it. But he doesn’t.

Maytwitter would be getting $#!T loads of crap from me and every other fan out there.

Guerrero, Ortiz, Baldomir were always my go to for calling Floyd a ‘cherry-picker’, but all 3 of those guys are at least a slim level up from Algieri.

Very disappointed.

Yes… I am a HUGE Manny Pacquiao fan… Been following his career very closely since I saw him decimate Ledwaba. I’ve purchased the Rios and Bradley PPV’s even though I was against him fighting those two. I knew Manny would show up and try to give the fans a good show. This has been his motto since he was younger. Always for the fans… always wants to give the fans a good show.

This fight against Algieri is will not be a good show.
How can I get behind this? I won’t count Algieri out, he’s a decent enough boxer but lacks power and won’t be able to keep Manny off of him. If Manny doesn’t respect your power, there’s no way to stave off the inevitable.

If Manny wins by TKO or KO.. big deal.
If Manny takes him the full 12… Whoa, Manny must be losing it.
If Manny loses…. well… it’s over, done. I don’t think there’ll be any great bounce back from a loss to Algieri.
This is a lose, lose for Manny.

This will be the first Manny PPV I WON”T BUY.
