Perez took alot of punches from mago and takem, he still pressed forward. Based on that I doubt jennnings can KO him. Jennings however is too fast and slick for perez and will hit and run clearly outboxing the cuban. Jennings by wide ud.Posted July 20, 2014 11:34 pm
Great fight here and it’s on regular HBO. This will be Jennings’ coming out party.Posted July 20, 2014 8:02 pm
Jennings by late-round stoppage.Posted July 20, 2014 2:22 pm
Perez wins, Jennings is nothing special.Posted July 20, 2014 12:02 pm
lyle gave a better fight with ali than quarry. but quarry beat lyle. so what if bugner did better that doesn’t mean he could beat some of those guys that did less.Posted July 20, 2014 8:38 am
@Robo-Pop…, Not really… Chuvalo defiinitely fought Ali much better than Bugner did … Hell, even Chuck Wepner fought Ali better than Bugner did.
Bugner was only 33 when he fought Marvis Frazier.. He was younger than Larry Holmes who Marvis fought next.. Bugner fought until he was past 40 I believe… but tank town fights.
Bugner had loads of raw talent but didn’t have any natural instincts that a boxer needs … He was big, tall, strong, and tough, and had fair feet—but technically he was horrible… A guy like that needs a super great coach — otherwise he never looks natural in there.
Wladimir Klitschko admitted that the sport of Boxing was very, very difficult for him.. He wasn’t a natural boxer like his brother Vitali, but his legs were in real good shape — Vitali ruined his legs in Kickboxing.. Fortunately for Wladimir he found that great, great technical boxing coach in Steward — just like Joe Louis had from day one in Blackburn.
That’s what Bugner needed.Posted July 19, 2014 8:55 pm
Joe Bugner.., “Boxing is a sport I never liked, but learned to love. The love died after the Ali fight.”
The media road Bugner very hard after his ridiculous title challenge to Ali. Bugner ran, hid behind his gloves, made monkey shines, and did everything but throw a meaningful punch.
Marvis Frazier beat Joe Bugner every round… That made Little Marvis 10-0
Marvis’s father then declared him ready for Larry Holmes… Smokin’ Joe later matched Marvis with Mike Tyson… Both were one-round jobs.
Reporter.., “Wasn’t it foolish to match your son Marvis with Larry Holmes.”
Joe Frazier.., “That wasn’t me up there getting hit.”Posted July 19, 2014 2:59 pm
Taishan Dong!!!!! Now, we might have a serious circus. This guy’s hands are huge, tall and is freaking fit.Posted July 19, 2014 2:54 pm
complete joke. move on.Posted July 18, 2014 2:43 pm
Jennings by UD or by Perez’s corner stopping the fight in the later rounds.Posted July 18, 2014 2:30 pm
Perez by KO. This is a good HW fight. Whodat say HW Division is dead? Whodat?Posted July 18, 2014 11:00 am
Perez by POWERFUL mind scrambling KO.Posted July 18, 2014 9:44 am
jennings by wide ud.Posted July 18, 2014 2:09 am
“Jennings by UD or possible late stoppage. ”
There he goes with his guessing again.Posted July 17, 2014 10:37 pm
Jennings should stop Perez… or beat him terribly.Posted July 17, 2014 7:25 pm
Perez is strong, but Jennings is quicker, has better defense, and he’s a better boxer. Jennings by UD.Posted July 17, 2014 6:33 pm
YAWN.Posted July 17, 2014 4:01 pm
I’ll take Jenninga, but don’t count the southpaw Perez out of this fight. he’s an experienced amateur and professional and he has some pop and takes a good punch. This should be a good fight with Jennings winning a split decision,Posted July 17, 2014 3:35 pm
You don’t have to read them!!!Posted July 17, 2014 2:59 pm
Jennings in a good contest. The Oracle, who never changes his picks, has spoken.Posted July 17, 2014 2:27 pm
Jennings by UD. Too big a gas tank for Perez to handle. Jennings might be a bit raw in some areas like putting together in-sync combinations without pushing with his punches however, regardless of that it’s Jennings all the way.Posted July 17, 2014 10:20 am
Bro your posts are annoyingPosted July 17, 2014 10:01 am
Jennings will be too much for the brain damager Perez. Jennings by UD or possible late stoppage. Either way JENNINGS will win.Posted July 17, 2014 9:24 am
I am glad that the KAMEDA brothers have been sighned up by Al Haymon.
Hopefully, we will get to see some of those fights in the OPBF region, like Japan and Korea.
I grew up following Jeff Chandler and he fought guys from that region… My favourite little guys were Jiro Watanabe, Hilario Zapata, Khaosi Galaxai, Gilberto Roman, Sung-Kil Moon etc….
Hopefully, we will get to see more of the little big men perform on our screens!Posted July 17, 2014 8:08 am
DMX, I AGREE with you re Perez…
Unfortunately, the tragic fight with Abdusellamov has not only stolen his momentum, but his desire and I really don’t see him getting it back in a hurry, if ever.
His last bout showed me this and he is now in the same boat as Benn and Eubank – the killer instinct has been buried someplace in the back of his mind, whereas the likes of McGuigan (vs Young Ali) and Kovalev have shown that they are able to compartmentalise the tragic fights they were in and gone on to climb to the top and win and defend titles in brutal fights.
The really sad thing is Mikey was being talked up by the same people who were involved with CarlFroch (in the pre-Eddie Hearn days) and I couldn’t wait to see this 3 and 0 Cuban, based in Ireland do his thing… It’s nearly 6 years or so since and JUST as he is breaking out in a fight of the year candidate his career seems tohave stalled, perhaps permanently!!!
TARK has talked in glowing terms of JENNINGS, butI have never seen him fight, but if TARK is correct then Jennings is a massive obstacle with all these other issues swimming round in Mikey’s mind.
If Mikey is mentally 100% he has a great chance vs any other contender, but if there are clouds, I can seehim handily outboxed for a lopsided defeat.
I hope I am wrong on this.Posted July 17, 2014 7:53 am

brza da originator
Kudos to these 2 guys for puttin there 0 s on the line . If its a good competitive fight the loser is still in the heavyweight mix . Heavyweight division is lookin good right now I just hope american networks/promoters get behind it . It would not take much to make some of these guys stars ( how about a heavuweight version of the supersix showtime produced winner gets a chance to unify against wlad)Posted July 17, 2014 6:36 am
Perez needs to get that tragedy out of his mind
“Great Fight”Posted July 17, 2014 5:32 am
very good fight indeed. it will be an action packed fight.Posted July 17, 2014 5:31 am
Looking forward for this – a very good HW scrap, precisely what we need! Contenders not to protect their “0” vagiinas like many tend to in today’s world. May the best man win.Posted July 17, 2014 4:47 am
