Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

TARD: The WBC is the ONLY organization that had Scott ranked in the top 25.

That’s NOT the same as being a LEGIT top 25 contender. You
didn’t say, “if he can get past Stiverne.” You’ve been making it sound like a guarantee that he’s going to beat Stiverne and you’ve been riding Wilder’s sack harder than a rodeo queen.

You’re a total dumbfuk, TARD, and don’t know 1/64th as much about boxing as you claim to, you fukin lying sociopath!!!

Posted July 26, 2014 4:35 pm

Bananaman

No he was ranked 23 by wbc and nowhere by anyone else

Posted July 25, 2014 4:41 pm

TARK

Squared Stupid Fukking Idiot says, “Wilder has NEVER even beat one single contender ranked in top 25 or 30. And you think he deserves a shot at the HW Champion of the World for some reason.”

He’s certainly getting a shot at Stiverne, who’s a Heavyweight Champion.

Malik Scott was 35-1, and easily ranked higher than 25-30 you dummy… Scott drew with the undefeated Glazkov… And I said NEXT YEAR you dumb fuk… AFTER he beats Stiverne … if he can get past him.

It would be one HELL of a heavyweight matchup, but I don’t expect a dumb bunny like you to get your brain around it.

It`s a pretty flawed narrative to be making these sweeping statements about world boxing based on what a very small subset of boxing fans in the US will pay $70 for.

For one thing as most boxing purists agree, casual fans are pretty dumb when it comes to understanding the reality of the situation in boxing, so if you are going to sell a boxers worth by what casual fans in the US think of them, well that is a bit poop.

All of this is based of of some pre-supposition about the US being more important, and US fans bing arbiters of what quality boxing is.

Wlad fills a stadium in Germany – apparently he is still isn`t exciting or generating interest because US TV fans aren`t interested.

Well how come it doesn`t work in the opposite direction – “Oh well done Cotto you filled a stadium in Texas, but how were your TV ratings in Liechensteiin?”

See that is just a load of poop.

Posted July 25, 2014 3:46 am

Money isn`t being hoarded in the lower weights.

Wlad was the second highest paid boxer last year – $28 million.

Posted July 25, 2014 3:37 am

SREDMOND

Fight Aficianado, FACTS are FACTS those were some terrible fighters for a boxer of Wlads caliber… So what would be so out of the ordinary about Wilder who’s resume like Golovkins has been compiled against WEAK opposition and you seem pretty high on him?

Posted July 24, 2014 4:06 pm

SREDMOND

Fight Aficianado, those were some WEAK dudes getting drilled by Wlad and just a FACT…So whats the difference? Is Wilder so much worse? I don’t see that personally he is just another guy who has no World Class cache that Wlad would be pounding on…Wach was a TERRIBLE opponent he looked RANCID…

Posted July 24, 2014 3:07 pm

Fight Aficionado

SREDMOND aka Supreme Court those were mandatories, which Wlad has to do if he wants to keep his belts. He’s beaten all of the top guys in the heavyweight division over the past decade. Fact.

Posted July 24, 2014 2:18 pm

SREDMOND

Wlad has fought SCRUBS other than Wilder ie Pianeta, Wach and Lepai this would not be some sort of slip in his recent quality control… If Mormeck can get a fight with Wladimir then its pretty much OPEN season… The HW division is pretty much trash as most honest posters already know… That’s why all the money and prestige is being hoarded in the lower weight classes… Guys spanking their bones to see Fury vs Chisora are a perfect example of the decay this weight class has undergone…Now back to ou regularly scheduled programming.

“How about Wladimir-Wilder next year???”

Wilder has NEVER even beat one single contender ranked in top 25 or 30. And you think he deserves a shot at the HW Champion of the World for some reason. First thing is first, TARD. If Wilder can get past Stiverne, then reasonable boxing fans will start talking about that match up. But the ONLY people calling for a Wilder vs. Wlad match-up at this point are casual fans who don’t know much, if anything, about boxing.

Did somebody mention Lenin?

John Lenin?

I love me some Lenin

Imagine there is not a heaven
It’s easy if you give it a try
There is no hell bellow us
And above our heads only sky Imagine all or the people
They’re living for today…

Imagine there isn’t even a country
It not exactly hard to do
Not a single thing to kill or die for
And absolutely no religions too
Imagine all of the people
They’re living their lives in peace.

You might accuse me of being a dreamer
But I can assure I am not the only one I do hope someday that you might join us
And all of the world will be as one

Imagine that you don’t own any possessions
I wonder if you can do that
There’s absolutely no need for greed or even any hunger
A big brotherhood of man
Imagine all of the people
Sharing all of the world…

You might accuse me of being a dreamer
But I can assure you that I am not the only one
I do hope someday you might join us And the whole world will live as one

Lenin: first of all team Fury might consider vetting some of Tyson’s opponents before setting up a match. Secondly, what’s wrong with a tune up or stay busy fight before the big match? They had Tyson sitting on his tail for 10 months waiting for Haye and now 5 more months waiting for Chisora. If it happened once OK, but 3 times, I’m sorry, that’s poor management.

I doubt any heavy will dare to jump in as a last minute replacement. Tyson Fury is in a very good shape and he is ready to rumble. Don’t expect Thompson, Cunningham, Perez, or Arreola to get in the ring with TF right now. They know they’d be in deep trouble.

Posted July 22, 2014 9:31 am

GO FIGHT AMIR MANSOUR INSTEAD OF WHINING. There are enough boxers available. By the way concerning the delayed fights: maybe it’s good for builduing Mr.Furys character, it would do no harm

Posted July 22, 2014 7:54 am

Boxing Barlow

I agree they need to bring a replacement in. Its no good for Fury to keep going through these training camps and not fighting. He’s in great condition. I dont think there’s big risk in bringing Thompson, Briggs or any other heavy of that level over to fight Fury. It will be at short notice so the odds will be stacked in Furys favour.

REEF

Good call!!!

Tony Thompson is the ideal replacement for Chisora. Tony is a tall southpaw who has just fought PULEV and has fought Wladimir twice and we know he has come to UK twice to bash the brains out of our hope David Price.

This is probably a better matchup than the original one with DELBOY!

I think Thompson has called Fury out on several occasions!!

Posted July 22, 2014 7:05 am

Boxing Barlow

Fury has been deat some bad cards lately. You cant say he’s avioding fights as he’s just missed out on big clashed with haye (twice) and now Chisora. I think they should just let him have a tune up fight whilst Vlad fights Pulev and then lets have Vlad Vrs Fury. It looks like Wilder gonna get the Stiverne fight so I cant see where Vlad is going to go after Pulev anyway unless he fights Fury.

Manny Steward was telling everyone who walked in the Gym they would be World Champion

Remember Andy Lee, he was the next Tommy Hearns
By that stage Manny Steward was gurgling, sitting in a kids paddling pool eating handfuls of sand

Posted July 22, 2014 6:44 am

Wazza_G1980

@europe – I never said he faked it, I said ” I Call bullsh*t”. Chisora would have gone ahead with the fight but I am pretty certain his team/promoter jumped at the first exit they got. Tyson Fury due to his size, height and unpredictability scares fighters and their teams more than they let on. Whether he could actually beat Haye or not remained to be seen , but no doubt Haye was scared of him. Also, like it or not – the late Manny Steward told Tyson Fury he would be a future world champion in front of Wlad. Mentally this seed was planted by Manny and continues to grow with every win and bit of trash talking by the talented traveler and make certain Wlad will only fight Fury when there is no way out of it ie a mandatory.

If he doesn’t get a big fight soon this is going to send him on a downward spiral.

He needs challenges or he will eat himself big again.

Posted July 22, 2014 4:10 am

wazza_g1980

I call Bullsh*t… Warren’s Golden Goose was about get plucked, cooked and eaten. Just like the great pretender and even greater coward Haye who “retired” (for a 3rd time in under 4 years) following his “injury” in lead up to Fury fight only to be ringside at Chagaev and to look at being back in the picture soon. Lets get one thing straight Tyson Fury may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he has heart and lots of it and will go into every fight with his balls to the wall mentality.
Anyone who knows boxing and the inside track knows that Haye was actually pretty scared of Fury – Fury was simply too much of an enigma for Haye. In this case I dont think Del Boy was scared of Fury at all, however I think his team took the chance for an exit when one became available.
Sorry to Tyson for this – he should look at facing Wach, Browne, Takam, Ruiz Jr, Leapai, Chagaev, or Arreola next. He should take this a sign to only face international opponents from now on, Britain has nothing left to offer the talented traveler Tyson…
