He is deluded and the first time he gets hit for real he will realize it….He has not fought for 31/2 years, this guy is taller, with a 5 inch reach advantage and a working fighter….Take the money and run Ricky…this won’t go into late rounds…

“”” I’m feeling fantastic and I’m aiming to return the kindness and support I’ve received from the British public, and fans from around the world, with a win come November 24.”””

Would it not be better to return the favour by having your fight on normal tv, you greedy ba7tard.

Is there a US broadcaster? Lame it’s PPV though.

out of order – what a joke. how are you gonna re-establish an existing and possibly future fanbase by going PPV first time out? On Primetime?? Very disappointed Ricky.

TARK

This is one fight… Ricky will evaluate his performance carefully before choosing another opponent. He knows he didn’t do his best work yet and that bothers him. He knows he can be a better boxer than what he’s shown so far. It’s not for the money because he’s made a ton of money.

Like George Foreman, if there’s one or more aspects of your game that you never fully developed it leaves you feeling empty inside like you never did enough. To be satisfied with your career—to sleep soundly at night—you go back, try to achieve what was missing, and put that final piece into place.

Even is popularity wont get him threw this, this is shocking – and he aint that great, every time he gets caught he looks like he is going to go, he will come though this but the moment he comes up against a puncher that is the end of him.

I was a big supporter of Hatton’s comeback but this leaves it dead in the water for me! There is no way he can justify ppv when it’s his first comeback fight, he’s coming off a devestating loss and the opponent is barely known, even within boxing!! I simply won’t be buying it.

I hope you’re right about Showtime covering this fight. Hatton was good for them before Ricky jumped to have his stateside fights covered by HBO.

wasn’t elite*

Lazcano had serious power, even if he was elite. It’s not that Ricky has no chin, it’s just he has no real defense. Paulie can barely crack an egg with his shots, so it tells me a lot as to why Hatton picked Paulie’s last opponent for his comeback. Paulie is going to help sell Hatton to the Hall of Fame in 2013. Even if Hatton loses to by a top welter like Berto, Guerrero, Alxander, or Bradley it won’t matter. Thanks Situation, er I mean Magic Man!

Ricky can not take a punch much anymore. The last 4-5 fights Inoticed he got hurt on several occasions, he is washed up as a top 10 or even 20 in my humble opinion.

He’s coming back for the money then? Also picking a guy feather puncher Malignaggi stopped. I agree it shouldn’t be PPV. If it isn’t his need for money than its greedy promoters or managers once again. Its going to be on SHO in the united states I believe. They should of had this fight on for free and then build a nice card around Hatton Malignaggi for the PPV. Oh well what boxing fans expect anymore.

I can’t believe Ricky’s done this, I just don’t know what he’s thinking of. I know he wouldn’t want to go back to Sky because of the way they treat him as a promoter however to go straight to ppv is ridiculous – I can’t see many people paying £15 in a recession to watch an old, possibly past it, fighter make his comeback!

Too true Ronan. Boxnation is value for money, but Hatton doesn’t care about the fans, only about the money. As faded as Ricky is, how can he expect the public to stump up £15 just to watch a past-it former champ?

Mind you saying that his options were limited I suppose. Sky have dropped him, Warren wouldn’t touch him anymore, BBC are now anti boxing, ITV have no cash and Channel 5 have wasted all their cash on Fury. I wonder if he thought that if he laced them back up Sky would relent and sign his Hatton promotions again?

Really?? PPV??

Not the best way to resurrect your public affection!

No thank you, Hatton is not PPV material, it should be on free tv, he is done, finished.

f***ing primetime, what a joke! couldn’t be box nation or channel 5! if ricky wanted so badly to be loved by the public again, he wouldn’t have accepted a channel where viewers have to spend 15 bloody quid for one card
