Gabriel Rosado exposed Quillins weaknesses, almost had him out.. if it weren’t for the Cut Quillin was on the way to a loss.. he looked like a deer in the Headlights as Rosado chased him around the Ring.. Nice guy but he’s a KO away from being just another hyped fighter..Posted September 3, 2014 4:24 pm
This is a good fight. Very even match up. If had to bet I would put my money on Koborov.Posted September 2, 2014 4:37 am
Winner*Posted September 1, 2014 7:00 pm
These guys are similiarly flawed fighters. Either way, the would gets KOed by GGG.Posted September 1, 2014 6:59 pm
Quillin gets tagged too.. And can’t jab.. It’s pretty damned close between to flawed boxers.
Geale is a good match for either guy, not that he’d win.Posted September 1, 2014 12:33 am
Whenever Korobov has an opponent in trouble, he tends to stop punching and stand directly in front of him to admire his own workmanship. That could prove extremely dangerous against Kid Chocolate.Posted August 31, 2014 10:22 pm
And quillin wont make him the under dog tark.Posted August 31, 2014 10:04 pm
Ggg is a a beast I think he will destroy these dudes but my only argument is that he will eventually face someone that can take his punch and punch harder or just as hard as him . I want to see can he dominate as long as hopkins did in his prime I hope he can. I just think he has to fight somebody that will make him the under dog.Posted August 31, 2014 10:02 pm
Nobody even remembers the name of the last bum Quillin fought. And if they could remember it they still wouldn’t know it. Nobody could pronounce it.Posted August 31, 2014 6:35 pm
Korobov signed off but Quillin has not. Maybe even this average mandatory challenger has the cherry picking clown nervous.Posted August 31, 2014 5:46 pm
This could be one of these showbox upsets.Posted August 31, 2014 8:12 am
Quillan is the weakest of the Middleweight Champs (I don’t count Jacobs seeing as though he was handed a belt that belongs to Golovkin) If Korobov vrings his A game, he will beat Quillan.Posted August 31, 2014 7:42 am
Korobov was the best amateur of his time. His skills were unmatched. He was a natural athlete. Beating world class opponents easily as If they were juniors. An amazing fighter to watch. IMO he was more impressive than Lomachenko since he seemed to possess more natural talent, whatever that means. His style of boxing reminded me of Zinidine Zidane on the football field.
His pro career has not been as impressive. He should be able to easily outbox the crude Quillin but with I hear he’s had bad stamina and other issues. Looking forward to the fight!Posted August 31, 2014 3:20 am
“I wouldnt say he is ducking ggg. Look at it like this ggg gets hit too”
You’ve got to be kidding!!! Golovkin-Quillin would have happened LONG ago if Quillin weren’t ducking an almost certain KO loss.
Quillin just fought an unknown bum nobody ever heard of, and couldn’t even knock him out. He was a cherry-pick so bad he lost to Dzinziruk — a fighter so terrible Brian Vera knocked him out.
Now, when I call fighters “bad” and “terrilbe” I do it in the context of being an appropriate opponent for a world title challenge. Quillin’s people are milking the title by matching him against some unknown challengers he’s dead certain to beat.
Daniel Jacobs was just matched with a cherry-pick almost equally as bad for another “World Championship” — but at least Jacobs got rid of the bum after a few rounds of battering him to death.
I don’t call these mismatches fights… They’re muggings.Posted August 30, 2014 10:32 pm
Why hate on peter he admitted that he still has to get better at certain things we all know the boy can crack but I wouldnt say he is ducking ggg. Look at it like this ggg gets hit too I wish them the best.Posted August 30, 2014 9:52 pm
who is quillen ??Posted August 30, 2014 8:55 pm
Quillan keeps winning that is what counts.Posted August 30, 2014 8:33 pm

Korobov has a real shot here.Posted August 30, 2014 4:34 pm
Good action fight, Korobov has a real shot here.Posted August 30, 2014 3:49 pm
I don’t see stamina issues for Korobov… I see technical issues. Ditto for Quillin.Posted August 30, 2014 3:36 pm
Golovkin would KO Quillin easily and Quillin knows it, so he continues to duck him and I doubt Quillin will ever fight him.
Rosado gave Quillin all the trouble in the world, in contrast, Golovkin beat the crap out of Rosado so bad they were screaming at the ref to stop the fight before Golovkin killed him it’s on youtube so see for yourselves. The same thing would happen if Quillin ever had the guts to fight Golovkin, which of course he doesn’t. Remember Golovkin has even more motivation to win after the death of his father this year. No one at the moment beats Golovkin at middleweight.Posted August 30, 2014 3:07 pm
quillin has refused to sign the contract and ripped it up when it was presented to himPosted August 30, 2014 1:55 pm
I’m glad this fight is happening. I have Quillin slightly favored but it’s a fight than can turn either way. The judges will probably be inclined to give it to Quillin, as they were ridiculously generous in his fight with Rosado.
Neither fighter has an excellent jab or defensive skills sharp enough to deal with Golovkin. I don’t see them even beating Daniel Jacobs, and see Cotto getting badly beaten by Jacobs if that fight were to ever happen – which it wouldn’t.
If Korobov beats Quillin there’s a better chance unification fights will happen. Right now there’s little chance they’ll happen. I’m hoping he can pull the upset. I’m tired of Golovkin being denied the opportunity to face the top middleweights.Posted August 30, 2014 1:44 pm
