frankeddie chambers is a good fighter he the size of the old time heavies he just to small to win the titkkle at heavyweight today .i I hope the cruser weight division gets more intrest because I belive the time of the 6ft 200 ..210 heavyweight champ is over . Posted November 20, 2012 7:09 pmAnonymousjon dog- byrd had to lose 30-40 pounds to go back, chambers 5-10 pounds. if chambers had spent 1hr in a sauna before the adamek weigh in he would have made cruiserweight already, not a big issue i would think Posted November 9, 2012 6:05 amjon dogHas everyone forgot about Chris Byrd? Moving weight divisions only works in one direction. Eddie doesn’t breach the top 10 at CW in my opinion Posted November 9, 2012 3:18 amFight AficionadoGood move. Main Events will get him opportunities and he’s now in a division where he should’ve been all along. Posted November 8, 2012 2:46 pmspookyKudos to Eddie for making such decision. I really think he really belongs to that decision. There he has a chance of shoving his expertise and power. I hope he gets a title shot soon. Posted November 8, 2012 12:55 pmte tumboi always suspected that Chambers was not a viable heavyweight contender. despite the claims of some “experts” and particularly not while the Klitschkos remained sheriffs of Heavytown. the move to cruiser is smart and realistic. it will enhance Chambers’ fighting style and his punches may also experience a proportionate increase in potency. if title-straps are Eddie’s professional goal, he may very well collect and retain more than one at cruiser. Posted November 8, 2012 12:45 pmAnonymousThat’s a great move for Chambers if he can bulk up after weigh in, he should have a dominant size advantage as well. Manimal has a good point–a tourney would be good Posted November 8, 2012 9:58 amknowallwould ….. though. Mick dont forget chambers Posted November 8, 2012 9:52 amknowallMick…. Mick the MarmalizerIf any division needs dragging by the scruff of the neck into unification then it the cruiserweights! So how about a super 6/8 @ 200Lb? The European’s seem to be top dog, so obviously the like of Marco Huck, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, Denis Lebedev & Y.P.Hernandez are all bound to be in the equation & to add some international spice how about Danny Green, Ola Afolabi, Antonio Tarver, Lateef Kayode, Danie Venter & if he’s still alive Herbie Hide.. The reason there’s more then 6-8 names is that reserves will be required in the case of injury. Just an idea, so don’t knock me too hard. Posted November 8, 2012 8:07 amirishnyHes been a cruiserweight fighting as a heavy for some time now. This will be great for him. Hes actually smaller than a lot of the cruiserweighst out there. Posted November 8, 2012 7:47 amknowallWhy not. eddie will not win anything at heavyweight and might brighten up the cruis division Posted November 8, 2012 4:04 amT-Bageddiie will rule CW if the big dogs dont duck him. eddie’s too skilled for anyone there Posted November 8, 2012 3:34 amAnonymousThis will be interesting to watch. Has been a pretty good heavy. If he can come down with stamina nd retain his power this will definitely be something to watch at Cruiser. And there are some pretty decent fights waiting for him at that weight too. I like it. Interesting! Posted November 8, 2012 3:21 am |
