Both russel jr & broner are overrated which one more? You be the judge.Broner’s 150+ vs 126lbs-135lb fighters is a joke not impressive.I invite broner & canelo to stop fighting chumps & guys his own size.Mares & Rigondeaux make cake work of russel jr ppl need to quit playing.Marroquin beat russel jr twice & broner.Rigondeaux just picked the bigger/young Marroquin apart.Divas need to step up.For broner;Gamboa, rios,Garcia,Matthysse, marquez await him as for russel;Rigo, nonito, mares, gamboa.I’ll be surprised if they beat 3/9 combined lol their vastly overrated will enjoy watching them come tumbling down like khan,jr,canela ect especially brush boi.You can’t win em all chump.Posted November 12, 2012 12:04 am

“Q” you’re the worst IMBECILE of all time!!!Posted November 11, 2012 12:24 am
It’s easy to tell that Nonito is a moron.Posted November 10, 2012 9:50 pm
hecdog: Garcia is greatly overrated based on your comments. Just saying. Russell could fight him after a Ponce maybe in his next bout.Posted November 10, 2012 9:48 pm
Boxtradamus, I agree with you on Broner. He’s the real deal, and like I mentioned before, he can go up in weight to the 147 pound or even 154 pound division and probably beat everyone. I know a lot of people don’t like him because of his huge ego, but he fights everyone and ducks no one. I like him and believe he is a special talent. People will become believers as he knocks them down one by one like dominoes. I met him in Oakland recently, and I came away liking him a lot as a person. Oh, he’s very confident, but he really believes he can beat them all. He spoke to everyone and was very open unlike that jackass Nonito Donaire that I met once and wouldn’t give me or other fans the time of day. Broner will be a great one if he deals with all life , fame and fortune will throw at him.Posted November 10, 2012 9:45 pm
I SAID long ago that Broner was the BEST Prospect in the Game and I was CORRECT. I INVITE Russell Jr. to step UP his level of competition QUICK and prove ME wrong.Posted November 10, 2012 8:20 pm
These types of WINS are not impressive to ME. Look at Broner who is YOUNGER than Russell Jr…..he’s already facing the #1 CHAMP in his Division. Broner is about to become a legitimate CHAMP while he leaves Russell Jr. and Canelo as PROSPECTS.Posted November 10, 2012 8:18 pm
Brian “The Law” Hall vs Rau Shee Warren 2013. I would love to check my skill level against a great fighter such as Warren. The difference would be ill be fighting to win !! #LexisRex #FollowTheLawPosted November 10, 2012 6:45 pm
If I had my way I’d let him pounce on Ponce de Leon first, then Mikey Garcia, figure Rigo or Mares after that. Gamboa wud be the icing on the cake.Posted November 10, 2012 5:41 pm
HHLondon, Russell shows talent, but you can’t crown him so early without having beating anyone of high caliber, you. He’s a prospect, and has an excellent amateur background, but until he beats a champion or top contender, he’s only a prospect. I put Mikey Garcia in the same situation. He looks like the real thing, but until he beats someone, he’s only a prospect. It’s easy for these guys because they face no challenges or difficult situations. What will Russell react like is he’s dropped or cut or faces a guy that can handle his punch or is on him all night. We don’t know what he’s made of, and that’s because he’s never had to face adversity inside the ring. As far as competition and the guys he can fight, there’s plenty of guys out there ranging from 122-126 and even 130. Mikey Garcia, Chris John, Daniel Ponce De Leon, Celestino Caballero, Donaire, Rigondeaux, Mares, Rico Ramos, Darchiniyan, Johnny Gonzalez, Juan Manuel Lopez and even Leo Santa Cruz. And at 130, there’s plenty. I keep hearing so much about Russell, but there’s plenty of questions he has to answer before we think he’s going to dominate. IMO, Rigondeaux, Garcia, Darchiniyan, Moreno, Ponce De Leon and Mares can all beat him. Let’s see these potentially great fighters fight tougher opposition, and then we can have some questions about them answered.Posted November 10, 2012 4:45 pm
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Abulutely disgraceful fight card- talk about lambs being led to slaughter. In every fight the Non Olympic fighter was grossly overmatched.Posted November 10, 2012 4:15 pm
gary russell is the truth and is coming along just fine but yes of course his people knows that its time to step it up….yezzzir!!!Posted November 10, 2012 3:38 pm
“It is funny none of these a..holes are talking about Mickey Garcia stepping up in class after 29 fights.” – Actually Garcia is exactly who I thought of. Put him and Russel in there. Winner’s a proven top prospect and a legit contender. Right now they’re both simply prospects who get on TV more than others.Posted November 10, 2012 12:57 pm
I didn’t see that card as ‘very special.’ I saw a bunch of Al Haymen fighters smacking down punching bags. He specializes in getting his fighters on a so-called premium networks in risk free bouts. Good for the fighters maybe but bad for the sport.Posted November 10, 2012 12:55 pm
i mean beatPosted November 10, 2012 12:30 pm
i think gary will best those guys you mention terror tim but it be interesting fights to see cause gary just wont blow these guys out easy he would have to go some rounds gary did say he wanted to fight juan manuel lopez and he always wanted to fight gamboa he just a confident fighterPosted November 10, 2012 12:27 pm
Quote ” cultivating a career” thats what Jnr is doing and doing a damn fine job. I’m definately sold on his skills & speed, jst a matter of time before he has the world on his feet, definately one to watch for the future.Posted November 10, 2012 11:06 am
i know more than boxtra
Roots. mickey Garcia is fighting a late replacement because Orlando salido got injured and before he just lmod bernabe concepcion made him look like an amateur so yea that should answer ur questionPosted November 10, 2012 9:44 am

Russell has fought 3 10 round fights. He has shown us he has some good boxing skills so it is natural for us to want to see us vs someone we recognize. I do think we can do better than guys ranked around 100. Just to give out some names but how about Teon Kennedy, Cristobal Cruz or Rocky Juarez to get him a veteran name or Bernabe Concepcion. I don’t complain about the opposition yet but there are guys at 126.Posted November 10, 2012 6:17 am
Hecdog, Just out of interest … name the “top guys” in his division, then name the “champs”, then we’ll regroup and discuss 126lbs and his options …
Looking at Jnr, his build, skills, smarts … let’s then jump another 4lbs and see what’s up here …
There ain’t much around him or waiting above ….
21 fights and this kid is cruising and there’s one or two scalps he’ll claim with ease in both divisions.Posted November 10, 2012 4:41 am
you make it seem like Gary has a title and is still fighting guys who are ranked number 25 in the world. He’s currently ranked number 30 in the featherweight division and only has 21 pro fights.
Steve Farhood was being a jerk tonight…he knows nothing about cultivating a fight career.Posted November 10, 2012 4:16 am
Russell keeps beating BUMS and padding his record. He looks good going up against guys like Castaneda. I guarantee you he won’t be doing this against the top guys in his division. Sure he has ability, but like the commentators have been saying, it’s time to step it up. He hasn’t proven anything until he beats anyone that’s have decent. I’m not sold on this kid at all. Just wait until he fights one of the top guys. Look at Russell’s record. He needs to step it up now. No more excuses..Posted November 10, 2012 4:08 am
This little fella is gonna be laying them down with both hands for some time to come!
He beats them all at the weight!
I’m a big fan!Posted November 10, 2012 2:59 am
