Pascal is praying Hopkins beats Cleverly so he can lose the embarassing record of dropping his title to the oldest muther in history.

Swedish Boxing Fan you are right, no one can run over Hopkins but they can ignore him.

Love him or hate him but the former 11 year long middleweight champion ruler of the world and 2-time world light heavyweight champion “The Executioner” Bernard Hopkins is a boxing legend and one of the most skilled boxers ever. No one can run over him. Roy Jones Jr, Chad Dawson, Joe Calzaghe and Jermain Taylor are the only men who have “defeated” Hopkins and only by close decisions on the paper but that’s it, they all promised so much but they all ended up after hard fought battles with Hopkins leaving permanent marks on them. Hopkins is one of the best fighters of his era pound for pound and no one can take that away from him. Hopkins will be a missed legend when he retires and I belive he will be missed by majority of people then hated. So haters hate and complainers complain. Go Hopkins!!!

The way he fought against Calzaghe was disgraceful. he blatantly cheated all theway through the fight.

I have achieved loads mate, just not in a boxing ring, and in my chosen profession I don’t bore people to death nor do I just hold on and spoil my work, I do it as best as I can and entertain when I do it. Hopkins fights aver very very dull affairs because of him, he needs to call it a day.

I hate Hopkins. The guy is a whiner and a liar. The dude admits he doesnt tip waiters. Just retire Hopkins no one cares about you

In fact in the Lara the fight Hopkins name came up. Hopkins name came up before. Roy Jones has mentioned few times about Hopkins extreme dirty fighting. People that dont understand why people hate on Hopkins need to be head but by Bernard or there arm twisted down to the back. Then they’ll understand

Al ‘aka’ The Crusher

As a sparring partner for years in this sport boxers mostly respect each other. What I mean by that they know this is all they have. This puts food on the table. If a handler see’s in sparring a fighter using dirty tactics to advance his win. He will be warned. If the fighter does it again he’s out. Now the type of ring staff that promotes dirty fighting to me my personal opinion they all should be banned. I’ve seen purposly head butts that have ended a fighters career. Hopkins some people will say it’s his style that makes him look dirty. I’ve been around enough in this game to know what a clean fighter is and a dirty one is. I have no respect for Hopkins dispite what he has done in his career. Dirty is is dirty.

After Hopkins fights Jermaine Taylor,I hope. So he can relly beat Jermaine by knockout for those two fluke wins by Jermaine. Even Spinks beat Taylor.

Well we all knew it would come eventually and now Bernard Hopkins have decided to retire after one final fight and lucky it is a world title fight so that makes it more sweet to end it all with and I surly wish Bernard Hopkins wins the fight against Nathan Cleverly so he can retire as a title world champion as well a 4-time ┬┤world boxing champion (1 middleweight and 3-time light heavyweight). Bernard Hopkins is an active all time greatest and he have been pro boxer sence early 90’s and have been one of the very best fighters in his era pound for pound so YEAH he deserves to retire as a champion. I will miss him in the ring but He will turn 48 years old and father time have catched up with Hopkins, even if Hopkins can defeat lots of young fighters out there. I look forward for that fight.

May the best man win, but my heart goes for a Hopkins victory so he can go out with peace in his mind and retire. Good luck champ.

Sadly, I don’t think Hopkins will retire until he gets an epic beating in the ring. I think Hopkins needs to leave a fight with his face resembling chop meat before retirement is even considered.
