Dom…we live in a new era today which does not require excelece anymore.Sad but true.It is an era of “people are people” and all are to be reconsiled as One .Southerners,northerners or whomever are one in the same.Success is now judged by our political correctness and our personalities.I am sure you have the intellect to understand this. The reason DeLeon had a good showing against Broner was because Broner did not want to exchange with DeLeon ,,,Broner got tag early in the fight against DeLeon and he was a little weary after that ..DeLeon can punch ,,just because he is awkward and got ko by Lopez in one round does not mean he can’t punch …

Broner fought a good fight, DeMarco obviously doesnt have the skills of Ponce DeLeon. Ponce beat Broner hands down. For a dude that does a lot of talking he sure does avoid discussing his fight agains the better Ponce. His own corner knew he had lost there was no confidence in his corner after the fight. The judge that had the fight 9 to 1 should never judge a fight ever again. It’s a crying shame that a good man like Ponce had to officially lose but everyone who knows boxing knows who really won. Adrian Broner knows who really won. If he thinks he’s anything like Mayweather he’s wrong. Floyd shut up all the negative words by getting back in the ring with Castillo and shutting him down. Adrian will never be as good as Floyd

Broner is not going up to welterweight to fight Bob Guerrero.. That’s a ton of it.. That’s a sloppy, tedious fight anyway.. Give me Gamboa, Rios, Matthysse, and Garcia in that order.. Broner can then fight Guerrero, but at the rate fights take place nowadays that will be 2 years from now… James Toney fought 4 fights in 7 months when he first became World Middleweight Champion. Three of the fights were life and death struggles with Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, and Mike McCallum … Fights where Toney got lit up.

They baby fighters too much today.

I agree with pmdawn, DeMarco didn’t stand a chance against Broner…Broner was too fast and too strong. I also don’t believe that DeMarco fought the wrong fight; he just isn’t on the same league as Broner. I don’t think anyone can beat Broner at this stage, not even at 135.

Broner is too big for Gamby. Gamby has a bad tendency of flying with his chin in the air inviting to be tagged. Now that’s bad news against Broner. Gamboa should fight at 130 or 135lbs. He also has been put in shelf by the snake for a long time. Broner should fight Burns then move up Garcia, Lucas or Rios. Most of those are doable except Rios, Top Incest.

Broner is just 23 not 24, btw. His performance against a pressure fighter like DeMarco was superb. He didn’t step backwards, rather leaned back the upperbody and worked those little hooks and uppercuts all night. Picking his shots very carefully seems to be his trademark by now.
