However, he had great fights against Jose Luis Ramirez , Panzienza, etc. I had hpe you would have been around a very long time, so i could have met you and talked boxing. They suggested that when a misfit felon, drug-dealer/user, wife-beater and child abuser dies from his own stupidity that the appropriate time for mourning before mentioning he was a misfit is to wait until some genius writes an article on miscreant former fighters who perish in the squalor of their own making. The Hamed’s and Paez’s of the sport knew if you wanted to get attention do it Macho Man style. He wasn’t just a show or circus act Camacho when he wanted to could really box and was blessed with a God given talent not to mention how underrated his toughness and chin were. Lord knows how much greater he could have been. We all know that what he accomplished in the ring will be enough to see him in the HOF. I was one of those Ricans that routed against him when he fought Chavez or Tito but when I look back that’s what made him great. Hero or villain he had you watching him. He will be missed by lots of boxing fans around the world. He trained at a gym in Sacramento for a few weeks while I was training, and he was a real down to earth person that loved people. Not everyone was a fan of his, but they respected his boxing ability. He charmed people with his magnetic smile, and he sure loved women looking at him. God bless him, his family and his friends and may God give them the peace and understanding to deal with this difficult situation. RIP Champ.
