I also think Roy has a great chance of winning maybe even hurting this big idiot. RJ will have a chance to shine if he can use his movement and hard counters without getting caught. He should be able to get the jab working as well. He wont retire after he gets this belt though, he’ll want one of the major 4 belts probably will still go after Diablo and might win that too. Now that would be a great ending to an amazing career. Hope he can do it.

I never thought I’d say this since the Danny Green fight, but it looks like Roy just may get the CW title. If Kayode fights Roy the same way he’s fought his last few fights, he could very well lose. Since Lateef stepped up in competition he hasn’t looked nearly as good as he ded before. He’s got a good punch, but his boxing leaves much to be desired. Plus he lacks stamina making him fight sloppy at times. Roy still has fast hands, even if his chin isn’t what it used to be. If Roy can get to the last bell without getting caught he’s got a great chance of getting the title and finally retiring.

OPEN LETTER TO RJjr. its all a matter of timing ..once the opponents get your timing a great baseball manager once told me,you can hurl a baseball 110 mph, if thats all the stuff you have, it will get timed and knocked out of the park,,,you need an assortment of stuff WHY ? to keep the hitter off balance… the same with boxers..they got your timing down pat….solution…either QUIT or come up with some new stuff to keep you opponent from knowing what your giing and when and how you will deliver your stuff…. the element of suprise is gone…

This reminds me of how conservatives thinks romney can change the economy around using the same goings as George Bush, the one who put us in this mess..Opps, forgot we was talking boxing, not politics!

Kayode better fight as smart as he can. Roy may not have his skills of old, but he is one slick boxer. Roy, on the other hand, is cruising to get KO’d again.

The Russian Tyson

I don`t think that it is lack of punch resistance that`s the reason Roy is gettIng knocked out. Roy is a natural middleweight but he is fighting bigger boxers like Kayode who is big enough to eventually move up to HW. You can have all the punch resistance in the world but it`s not going to stop you from potentially getting knocked out if you move up in weight and fight bigger boxers. These guys that are knocking Roy out are much bigger than him.People skip over that like Roy is getting kayoed by boxers that are his size.

Laughable that Roy thinks he can win. Makes me think of the liberals who thought Obama was qualified to be president.

Roy will be sleeping, like he loves to do , ya dig

I’ve never been impressed with Kayode, but I think he has a great chance of knocking Jones, out. Which is pretty sad, really.

It you did get permanately injured in the ring or worse, it would be horrible for this sport, and horrble for your family. Is that what you want?

Roy Jones jr: please retire. Heck if you need money that bad I’m sure a lot of your fans would mail you a $20 to just hang ‘em up. We didn’t forget, it’s just that was then and this is now. You were great, but your time is past man. I’m sure you have a few million fans still. If we all sent you a twenty you could handle your business with the tax people and then some. Just chill, train fighters do commentary. No more fighting man..for what?

thank god KAyode is going to jail for KOing his trainer, keep that crazy psycho away from Jones lol.

Not a chance…Kayode never stops moving forward and will eventually touch Roy’s glass chin and it’s all over, no question.

Two words…BRAIN DAMAGE

Posted August 10, 2012 5:46 pm

Ron Levao

Jones cannot have forgotten the terrible brain damage his buddy sustained in a KO loss. I can only assume he doesn’t want to grow old, and if denial won’t do the trick, dying in the ring will. He seems cheerful enough when on HBO, but there’s got be something much sadder going on under the surface. Will commissions really allow him to televise his demise?

Posted August 10, 2012 5:42 pm

Michael Katac

Roy has no punch resistance and he does not fight well with his back to the ropes. In his last fight he got dropped by a guy who was not even a big punncher. RJJ Should have got out after Ruiz. When he dropped all of that muscle to go back to LHW and fight Taver it robbed him of his reflexes. JOnes is beyond finished and every fight is dangerous even against low level guys.

Juggernaut

Kayode’s skills are limited. Jones could walk away with a win but its time for the legend to hang up his gloves.

Sigh……..

Posted August 10, 2012 4:42 pm

It`s tempting for RJJ to think that he can outspeed and defeat Kayode but Kayode is a dangerous opponent for Jones,Jr. Conventional wisdom says that RJJ still has very fast hands but his problem is that the youthful athletic legs that use to help him avoid punches when he was in his prime are gone and he is spending entirely too much time flat-footed and on the ropes where he can be easily targeted, outgunned and knocked out by bigger fighters like Kayode.

olhh

this is a really bad fight for jones to be taking, this will be the end of him and im actually worried. all his other fights ive not felt like this. kayode is hungry and a big puncher

Jones wants to get KO again.
