IM A BOXING FAN NOT ESP A BIG PAC FAN WHAT IM SAYING BETWEEN MAYWEATHER AND BRADLEY. MAYWEATHER WOULD WIN ON POINTS. AND THEN EXPECT A JUST DECISION i DONT BELIVE MAYWEATHER WOULD KO BRADLEY EITHER . DECISION ARE A PART OF BOXING AND WHEN THERE VERY WRONG THE WAY THE PAC BRADLEY WAS THERE BAD FOR BOXING

IRON MIKE-Just stay on the SIDELINES man. You don’t know what the heck you’re talking about. Cotto can’t compete at the Top level???? Cotto was the TOP CHAMP at 154. SO what do you mean he can’t compete at the Top level???? IF you don’t know what you’re talking about you should just STFU.

Easy Frank, take a deep breath and read what I wrote. Like most PAC fans that think some1 is putting him down they come out all guns blazing it’s funny. Manny didn’t clearly beat Bradley, yes he was a little hard done by but Floydy would not have the same problem, it wouldn’t b close enough 4 a robbery. Franky go’s2 Hollywood relax, u enjoy wasting ur money on Mannys recycled garbage. He will have his chance at Bradley win lose or draw against JMM. Arum wouldn’t let Bradley near Mayeather anyways.

We already SAW what happened to the last guy that thought that knocking Berto down twice and WINNING by UD makes you ready for Mayweather. He got dominated and stopped in 4 rounds.

Pac don’t want it. Martinez is kinda too big. But maybe Floyd will do it at 154 after he fights 1 or 2 fights. 2 months withering away in solitary did not help.

Posted November 28, 2012 3:00 pm

TARK

That’s OK because Floyd will not fight Canelo… He’d be nuts to defend his 154-pound title against either Canelo or Martinez. Floyd didn’t stay undefeated by being stupid. Guerrero was a God-send for Floyd and will allow him to stay busy. Busy for Floyd is 1 or 2 fights a year — and he will be 36 years old for Guerrero.

That activity rate didn’t work for Sugar Ray Leonard — but somehow it’s working for Floyd.

I always heard that about holmes, joe calzagghi the klitchkos

The author says…, “They have to take Guerrero seriously, because he’s winning decisively and looking pretty sharp.” … Maybe winning decisively.. Sharp?…Not really. It was a pretty sloppy foul fest in there.

Some of you on here STILL DON`T REALIZE that Mayweather DOES NOT NEED PACQUIAO to make money. Some of you are suggesting that in order for Floyd to continue on making millions of dollars, he would have to fight Manny and this is simply not true. Look at Manny`s purses in comparison to Mayweather`s purse, he makes nowhere close to Floyd.

Posted November 28, 2012 1:00 am

You haters r 2 funny. This fight would b a total mismatch. Judah, carrales, costillo, Gatti, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, JMM way easier than Pac, all cherrypic opponents ha ha. I’d rather c Alvarez, Sergio or perhaps Bradley. That would b very disheartening 2 manny fans watching Floyd clearly out class Bradley, something Manny could not do

Guerrero deserves the fight.

The Prince

You Mayweather haters are hilarious. How is Floyd cherrypicking Guerrero when the challenger has been calling him out for years. He’s fought hard and earned a fight in Mayweather’s own division. That’s called fighting a mandatory challenger, not cherrypicking and that’s if Mayweather takes the fight. Bottomline: If Mayweather isn’t fighting someone where the stakes are completely against him, you haters cry foul. Mayweather is the man and will go down in boxing history as an ATG. Deal with it.

RaidR, I appreciate your response but you didn’t address what I said. I am talking about the Robert Guerrero of today, not yesterday. I am talking about Robert Guerrero the welterweight, not the featherweight and super featherweight Robert Guerrero. Robert has had only two fights as a welterweight. The guy doesn’t even deserve to stand on the same stage as Floyd Mayweather Jr. As I said before, Guerrero has not fought a welterweight anywhere near the caliber of Floyd Mayweather Jr. But Floyd will take the fight because Robert is a “green” welterweight and a guaranteed big purse. As for my credibility, well, you haven’t tarnished it a bit.

Floyd doesn’t fight the weakest link but he sure does like choosing his fighters like manny.Guerrero, bradley or even paper champ canelo not (Sergio/pac).Low risk high reward that’s always been his motto. Can’t blame him, just don’t go around boasting you’re the best when you barely fight once a year & others 3/4x.It’s a business move floyd could’ve been Fought the whole division but he likes to wait & choose.

“Mayweatehr will always take teh weakest link,”-GTFOH with your FALSE statements. Cotto was NOT the weakest link at 154 he was the STRONGEST. Also Ortiz was the #2 rated WW when Floyd beat him. Before that Mosely was the #1 rated WW and 3rd rated Fighter in the World. Before that Marquez was the #2 rated Fighter in World……WHERE is the weakest link???? YOU lying sucker.

If this fight happens I will not buy the PPV!!! I love Guerrero, but he has no place in the ring with Mayweather and will get KO’d and badly. I can’t blame Floyd either. This kid has a belt… and is calling him out… it’s not his fault it’ll be easy work. I just ask that Floyd fight more than once a year and how about if Manny beats Marquez you just get the fight made Floyd? It’s either now or never. You want the millions or not?

I personally don’t have a problem with this match up. Not because it’s an easy pick for Mayweather, but because of all the current veteran fighters out there Guerrero is deserving of a big payday. And I believe Guerrero will do a better job then Cotto could.

Posted November 27, 2012 12:56 pm

Only problem is that Mayweather’s career spans beyond the lightweight division. Ever since the Castillo it’s all been safe bets for Maynever.

Posted November 27, 2012 12:51 pm

But isn’t that what your doing by comparing the Cotto fight, a one-off at 154lbs. Guerrero has proven his metal the old fashion way in the ring. Not by avoiding the very best in their prime. Epic koolaide drinking fail.

Posted November 27, 2012 12:49 pm

@ of the hardest punchers in the WW division couldn’t put a dent into Guerrero’s consciousness, what makes you think Mayweather can. Don’t confuse a no-look TKO as a legit punch.

Except for the ones he avoids. Manny, Maravilla, Williams, Canelo, prime Cotto, etc.

HEADLINE: Guerrero is a former IBF Feather Weight, and Super Feather Weight title holder. So much for your credibility Hidalgo. Joel Casamajor was pretty slick. Titles don’t mean $h1t, at least when it’s convenient it’s what Mayweather says. So it shouldn’t mean $h1t here.

Will never happen. Floyd would never risk his career with a dirty fighter like this. Pacquiao would be less risk! But yet he’s running from Pac.

Posted November 27, 2012 12:15 pm

SREDMOND

Yeah Cotto at 154 where HE Floyd has only fought once prior was EASY ???as was ODH who had spent years at the weight???… BOTH men going into the HOF due to their abilites… Oscar a Champ in 6 weight classes, Cotto a champ in 3 divisions… But FMJ stepped up and bested BOTH fighters…I am not big on a Guerrero bout, I think Floyd should smash Pac Man or Canelo but the reality is he simply makes it look easy most nights…If he bashes Pac they will say Manny is “Old” meanwhile he is younger than Floyd, if he smashed Canelo they will say he is “too young” even though Floyd was deposing Champs like Hernandez when he was a mere pup… Mayweather is one of the GREATEST to ever lace them up, and the drama, controversy, incarceration, and injuries have NEVER stopped him from being able to dominate… Marquez NEVER looked like a scrub in the ring till he fought FMJ, meanwhile Pac is on bout #4 to make a point….

The El Paso Fight Prophet

Mayweather better be careful with his new willingness to engage. Guerrero is a Genuine Threat and has shown he can take a punch at 147 and still comes back to harm his opponents. Guerrero Is a True Warrior who is well known to the true boxing fan and also you will see how interesting his story really is when they do the 24/7 on him. GOOD LUCK TO THE GHOST and also I already knew this fight would be made.

Posted November 27, 2012 12:05 pm

Hidalgo

Mayweather is ALWAYS interested in a fight with unproven champions who have little time in a weight class that he himself has fought in and dominated for years. Besides that, Guerrero doesn’t even own a full-fledged welterweight title, nor has Robert come close to fighting an opponent the caliber of Mayweather prior to calling out Mayweather. But hey, Floyd often looks for the easy win and ALWAYS the big money. If they fight, Floyd will kick his butt, likely winning by stoppage.

I like to see Guerrero get the big money fight against mayweather . thou if he fights mayweather guerrero cant abandon the jab they way he did against Berto and defensively he has to adress being hit with so many uppercuts as he was in the berto fight

Posted November 27, 2012 10:59 am

SREDMOND

Here you guys go getting hyped off of Guerrero beating Berto now suddenly he is a WW destroyer the likes of which Mayweather has never seen?? GTFOH… Floyd just handled Cotto who now competes at 154 and was killing himself to EVER make 140 pounds…Guerrero’s tactics would get him a BEATING against Mayweather who would find a TON of holes in his defense to exploit…I am with Merchant on this one I would rather see Floyd face Pacquiao or Canelo for that matter… Good win for Guerrero but I see more opportunity for excitement..

Money May(the best boxer in the WORLD)…will take this fight due to it being a very “safe” fight for him…meaning he’ll be able to hit and run. Robert comes always comes forward and hits hard…which makes for an exciting fight. The only thing wrong with that is that Money May is the best counter puncher out there and will take full advantage of this. Safe fight for Mayweather and a BIG money fight for the Ghost… Mayweather by decision. JUST SAYIN’

Floyd needs to fight at least two times next year. Shelving his career isnt in his best interest. Anyone that wants to hate on Floyd has every right to do so, but: if they want to consider themselves boxing connoisseurs then they need to reflect at his resume. Floyd’s resume screams volumes.

@RealSpit; I agree. First off; for those talking about a fight with Alvarez; you can’t blame Mayweather for that fight not being made because GBP already has stated they don’t feel Alvarez is ready for that level. I don’t even want to talk about the Pacman situation because I feel that’s a TWO WAY STREET; of course many will disagree; but I feel BOTH have stall in some form or fashion as far as that fight goes. We will see what happens as far as Martinez.

Pacquiao fight names, Marquez is a big name fought Pacquiao 3 times already. December 8, no. 4. Mayweather fought Marquez once gave Marquez a boxing lesson. Why is he avoiding Pacquiao? Bradley is a good fighter, not a champion.

People keep saying Mayweather won’t fight Martinez,Alvarez, or Pacquiao.. But don’t notice that Pac wont fight those names either and openly turn those fights down.Funny isnt it.But Floyds the cherry picker?Manny just fought feather fists Tim Bradley and fighting 40yearold Marquez for a 4th time. But no one mentions this in criticism. But Floyd cherrypicks?LMAOOO

I bet Floyd would cherrypick Guerrero for his next fight. Martinez, Pacquiao and Alvarez are the real challengers for Floyd. I’d pay to watch any of these 3 opponents but not Guerrero.
