In 10 years time Joseph Parker will be H/W champion of the World. “If the sport hasn’t burned it’s self out”!

I took note of the “Johnson with 28 fights under his belt, yet is only 33 years old”. To me, 33 years old for a so called prospect is old.

I hope Fury comes prepared and does in Johnson. Johnson seems to have to think about what combo he wants to throw instead of doing so instinctively.

I like fury I hope he has fixed that bad habit of leaning foward when he punches with his right hand leaving him open to countered. even if Fury wins and keeps progressing I dont thing he should fight wlad klitchko for a few yrs .

Favoring Fury but who knows. Johnson can hit a little bit and has a pretty good defense and Fury was floored by Pajeck. Fury showed heart coming back and winning that one but if a guy like Pajeck can do what he did it wouldn’t be out of the realm for Johnson to do the same. Johnson needs this win much more than Fury but I think Fury will get it.

TARK

I don’t know what fast fights and few fights are doing for Price.. He’s got no rounds.. He needs more fights, longer fights, and tougher fights.

Birk the Badger

David Price as power but what else he hasn’t done anything, Seth Mitchell was Molly coddled in his career and payed the Price and so will David pay the price ;-)

Safety Pin Johnson’s preparation for the Klitschko fight consisted of Marathon runs. Dozens. And in the ring, it was like somebody shouted “Run, Forrest, rrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!” :-D

Mick Marmel: Can you give any details on Murray’s failed exam? Was he found to be out of condition, or was there a failed drug test involved?

The only one with a decent heart beat is Pulev. The question is will one of the K-bros fight him.

Fury will be undisputed heavyweight champ by end of next year…..

fury is a very talented fighter…. only 24 years old …. and he is gonna proove it against jhonson….

tyson fury fighting for a world title is a joke and shows how low the divison has gone this joke wouldnt go three rds with a klit he has fought no1 at all but the same can be said of price who is fighting matt skelton and old never has been price is fighting no 1 as well but price has got that right hand

WHAT!!

Anonymous is another keyboard tough guy who got beaten up everyday at his all-girl school when growing up. Fury is hype and is running scared from Price and anyone else with KO power.

and in my opinion… anyone that seriously follows Fury to any faithful degree is either family or a fellow pikey.

Anonymous – You seem to attack everyone that contests your opinion. Based on your comments on this and other forums you seem to spend more time insulting other posters than offering anything other than a loosely based opinion. Chiil out, watch and learn when it comes to the boxing game and then maybe folks might take you a bit more seriously. Just my opinion…

Fury vs Johnson is an eliminator? I’ve just had a glance at the rankings and, frankly, they are a complete joke! At least 5 of the top 10 are simply ridiculous. Why don’t they rank Welliver as well? PATHETIC!!!! NEITHER Fury nor Johnson are worthy of a world title fight. Johnson has tried and been found wanting, Fury has yet to prove it. Should be a good fight, and it is the sort of hw fight that should be happening MUCH more frequently but to call this a title eliminator is just a joke. Fury by ko after 6 or so rounds. Credit for Johnson taking this at short notice when Fury’s opponents kept gutting out. Johnson a good opponent but a win over him doesn’t make ANYONE a world title opponent!

Fury is looking better with each fight and in much better shape…plus only being 24 he could be a real monster in a few years.

the voice of reason

This all depends on what frame of mind johnson is in. if he comes to win, then fury is in for one hell of a rough ride.

I will go with Fury but Johnson is a dangerous opponent for him …. first time Fury will be fighting a slick boxer. Furys opponent level has been ok upto now but this is his toughest test to date.

SVDC – It’ll end up like the 80s before Tyson showed up or the early to mid 2000s before Wlad pulled himself together. The titles will be passed around and no one will be dominant (or willing) enough to unify or show themselves to be a clear number 1. But the ‘title’ fights will be a lot less one sided than they are today.

Fury will demolish Johnson.Johnson, like so many US heavyweights these days, has some good skills, but not the mindset or ring IQ to become great.Fury, while a work in progress and a few years off being a complete fighter, still has more than enough to stop Johnson, probably with a body shot.As for whether Johnson is in shape, well, that’s his responsibilty,he decided to take the fight on relatively shoert notice, and credit to him for taking it,but boxers should always be in good shape, year round,in case they get an opportunity.I think Johnson will be shocked at how good Fury is for a big, poorly balanced lump and he’ll find it hard to deal with the distance issue.if he wants it up close,Fury’s a good infighter for such a big dude too.Hopefully it’ll last a few rounds.I’m not sure about the validity of one comment that said if Vitali couldn’t get to him,how on earth can Fury, well, once Fury has disposed of Johnson, what’s your argument then? Is Fury better than Vitali?….lol…

Posted November 28, 2012 9:36 am

Junior

Ayu, Johnson wasnt given 3 weeks to prepare for Vitali. Also Vitali fought a young, inshape Johnson. Wit till you see wots turning up saturday!

Posted November 28, 2012 9:24 am

Ayu

Now Johnson may be uncouth and a slimeball but he can weave and bend with the best of them. If Vitali Klitschko could not find the button how in the world is Fury going to put the creature to sleep?

SVDC

I somewhat agree with Boxing Barlow. Once the Klits retire we will have a different champ in every organization and Fury vs Stiverne or Arreola vs Abdusamalov will become ‘world’ title fights. It will be a mess.

Fury by KO around 8th, it’s the way forward for boxing

Posted November 28, 2012 8:47 am

Boxing Barlow

fury is waiting for the brother to vacate, then he will win a version of the world title, then he will start a run of defences against average opposition, similar to kingpin earning himself half decent money as he will be a ‘world champion’, avoiding David Price (who will pick up one of the other versions and do a similar thing) by pricing himself constantly out of a fight. He’ll ride this gravey train for a while before undersetimating an above average fighter and loosing the title. This is the reality and the business plan his promotor will want to go for to milk the most he can from his cash cow. Boxing sucks some times and whats worse is its so obvious these days whats going on. Anyone who thinks his promotor would be stupid enough to let him go in with and get KO’d by a Klitchko is crazy when they are on the verge of retiring and he’s able to legitimately wait for them to be out of the picture. If a brother were to KO him no one would be that interested in the rest of his career.

Im glad to see heavy weight contenders fighting but thats just what they are this 2 contenders fighting . isnt a real heavy weight title fight unless it involves one of the klitchkos. boxing would be better off if contenders in every divisions fought more often. say what you want guerro and berto were two contenders fighting hard and it was good for boxing

this is going to be a good fight.

I’m English so I’m hoping for a Fury win.
Off subject: I’ve heard John Murray’s failed his medical & his fight with Gavin Rees is off. Hopefully Rees gets another opponent & keeps active, before he get’s his WBA title shot.
