I have to agree with you, I do give credit to Chavez for taking the fight against Martinez. (I don’t mean to sound like a whiner, but Chavez also avoided Martinez until the last minute) and though Chavez knocked Martinez down in the 12th. I don’t think he did enough to deserve a rematch.

You mean Sergio is fighting an undefeated fighter who didn’t make his name off of his father? All you people can complain about this fight but it beats the crap out of watching Martinez fight that no talent daddy’s boy Chavez Jr. At least Murray made his own name.

To Puffy ,,,, of course Martinez vs Canelo would be a good fight .Only one problem though ,,Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo are terrify to make that fight happen ..Canelo would never fight Martinez ..So give credit to Chavez Jr. for wanting a rematch after absorbing so much punishment in their fight …

I do believe this guy is the only one who dared to fight sergio. Floyd will only fight boxers that are:
1. About to retire or after their prime, (de la hoya, mosley, Baldomir)
2. Too small for him (Marquez)
3. Not in the top 10 pound for pound, (guerrero, ortiz and possibly Cotto)

How could anybody look bad against such opponents?

I live in the us, and i can’t wait for this fight. And i agree with Boks, Chavez does not deserve a rematch. Can anybody explain to me why Martinez vs. Canelo Alvarez wouldnt be a good match also?

Martinez has done enough to impress the U. S. A lot of people will watch his fights.

“its a fight for us not your fat c*nts” It’s boxing, man. Although Brooks makes it sounds like he owns the only opinion in the world and speaks for everbody else as well. Still, seems to me that Sergio is fighting too soon after sustaining the injuries that he did. We’ll see how his mobility and punching power hold up.

Murry at least had a draw with Felix Sturm in Germany, and while I see Martinez winning, maybe even by stoppage, I see Murry as a worthy challenger. Chavez needs to earn his rematch with Martinez, and the 12th round just does not cut it.

Martin will prove to be a bad choice for a keep busy fight. I expect Sergio to win, but i say Martin takes him into deep water. I also expect to see an aged Sergio because of; 1- his age, and 2- his injury. Those 2 combined could spell the end of Sergios career. Best of luck to both men. i say Sergio by decision 3-4 rounds. But il b puting a tenner on Murray just incase
