Pirog was signed to fight and suffered a training injury. With Geale after two world titles in Germany he chose a fight for at least triple the money, quadruples his profile in Aust and avenges his only ( disputed ) loss. One champ named Sturm to me doesn’t equate to every champ. Golovkin has to wait his turn like everybody else. Posted December 11, 2012 11:29 pmhookoffthejabrosado style will make for a ugly KO his movement may cause GGG some problems but once he lands BOOOMB lights out Gabriel …. Posted December 7, 2012 6:23 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012Overrated aka SOG cum-guzzler (I can spot you clowns a mile away)… Stop being so scurred of those big, bad scary Slavs, Eastern Euros, and those tough-ass Central Asians, broski. The storm from the East was inevitable. Deal with it. Posted December 7, 2012 6:09 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012August Trout is a tidy little boxer no doubt (I knew he was going to beat Cotto). However, the cream of the middleweights division should be the ones inflating their balls to man size to duke it out with King Daddy Golovkin, not the cats from the division below. King Daddy Golovkin would be a three weight world champion by now if he was American. Firstly, like so many American fighters do these days, he would’ve boiled his body down to a much lower weight when he turned pro to feast off bashing up vastly smaller opponents, gradually working his way up through the divisions (aka juicing) and being given countless opportunities to pick up straps along his way. Posted December 7, 2012 6:02 pmoverratedSoon or later the Golovkin’s lovers and their big mouths will cry as the Bute’s lovers … Posted December 7, 2012 5:43 pmScottI believe GGG to be the real deal. Sure we still need to see him in with and beat an elite opponent before we make any final judgements on the guy but what is he supposed to do? No one of note wants to fight him and uses, and will continue to use, the “who is Gennady Golovkin” excuse. This’ll be the case no matter who he beats. He may be a brawler but he’s one of those rare brawlers who’s got skill to back up his power and seek and destroy style. I just hope he fights regularly. Posted December 7, 2012 5:43 pmScottI agree Joseph but at almost 31 he’s only got a few more years before he starts to slow down and how long do you think it’s going to be before we see GGG in fight with someone of note? I would say not for another 2 at least. Sad but I think true. Posted December 7, 2012 5:40 pmScottYou put it succinctly UJelly!!! Max Kellerman said it best when he said he thinks GGG beats everyone but Ward and that all the top guys are going to play traffic cop with him to avoid fighting him. They’ll leave him no choice but to fight 2nd and 3rd rate contenders, including Rosado. GGG and his team aren’t fighting guys like Rosado because they want to. They have no choice. Posted December 7, 2012 5:39 pmJoseph HerronGuys, I wouldn’t doubt it if Austin Trout was the next Junior Middleweight to fight Gennady Golovkin in 2013. Both men are relatively avoided within their respective weight class and are looking to land a big money opportunity on HBO. Makes sense. Posted December 7, 2012 12:16 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012Odd how nearly every top middleweight out there has been so reluctant to fight ”hype job” King Daddy Golovkin, eh? Do I need to reel of the list of names of those who’ve ducked him? lol Posted December 7, 2012 12:03 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012And perhaps you’d care to remind me how many of blown up light-middleweight Golovkin’s opponents were little guys? lol. Seems like almost all of them were either natural middleweights or even boiled down super-middles. lol Posted December 7, 2012 12:00 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012As for people not taking me seriously? Well, obviously, that’s beyond ludicrous. lol Do you even know who I am? lol. It’s no secret that I’m widely regarded as the best poster on this site by not only my fellow posters, but also all the mods and everyone up in admin too (and that’s a fact by the way). Just out of interest, what is the membership of your fanbase? Do you even have a fanbase, MR. I Haven’t Got a F@cking Clue Who You Are? lol. And where did you finish in this year’s annual awards? Did I forget to mention that I won poster of the year? lol. Posted December 7, 2012 11:58 amGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012Leroy.. no one’s going to take anybody with the name Leroy seriously. lol. What do you think this is? 1983? lol. And FTR, I like Price just as much as I likes Fury, albeit for different reasons. I’ve never once said Fury was going to beat one of the Klitschkos or go onto dominate the division. All I’ve ever said is that he has great physical gifts and a lot of natural talent and he could forge a very good career for himself if he knuckled down in the gym and took training seriously, particularly if he focused on building his body up with strength training and worked hard to improve his conditioning. Regarding a potential Fury-Price match up, I pretty much see it as a 50-50 fight where both have the power, speed and skills to knock the other out. Posted December 7, 2012 11:49 amAnonymousThis fight is a JOKE! I cannot believe that Rosado’s promoter would opt to move up a weight class & fight a stone cold kILLER in GGG! When they had already positioned themselves perfectly as the IBF Jr. Middleweight mandatory challenger V. Bundradge, a fight Rosaso figures to win. This will be a career ending devastating defeat for Gabe. Quite possibly the worst job of maneuvering by a promotional/mgt team I’ve sen in years! Posted December 7, 2012 9:40 amJoseph HerronNemo…you’re right. More people should actually read the interview. It actually raises a lot of good points regarding the p-hysical match-up. Gabriel reminds everyone that he’s 6’0″ with a 78″ reach, and Trip G is 5’10″ with a 72″ reach. Rosado truly has the mindset of an undefeated fighter going into this fight. He really believes that this version of Gabriel Rosado can’t lose at this time. It’s going to be a great fight!! Posted December 7, 2012 8:05 amnemoI don’ think Rosado is smaller. I think he’s overestimating his ability to “not get hit”. He got tagged way too often against Whitaker. And Golovkin punches harder and more acurrately. Posted December 7, 2012 4:48 amDon QuixoteAnonymous, what it is? I agree “wit you” Posted December 7, 2012 12:29 amLeroy BrownGGG picking on a smaller guy again. What a hype machine. Oh yeah, Gonzo no one will take you seriously while you continue to talk up these hype machines like GGG and Fury. Posted December 7, 2012 12:15 amGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012Thanks Joseph, I’m not the type to blow my own trumpet, but there’s a reason why I was voted poster of the year you know. Posted December 7, 2012 12:14 amJoseph Herrononzo…that’s about a creative cut as I’ve ever read!! Posted December 7, 2012 12:03 amKoolzRosado feels first body punch from Golovkin and all of the sudden reality sets in and he realizes he is in deep Sh@#$#@t!!! Posted December 6, 2012 11:56 pmUJelly? He probably will fight someone decent when someone decent plucks up the courage to give him a shot. Gonzo the Dragonborn – ESB poster of the year 2012T-Bags.. I thought I told you to STFU? Go and suck SOG’s shriveled little rat-sized nuts you juandiced looking bug-eyed tranny. KIng Daddy Golovkin is the truth. Deal with it. Posted December 6, 2012 10:03 pmJoseph HerronThe G-Man is the real deal…ask any fighter or trainer who has been to see him work at Big Bear. He’s a beast and it’s only a matter of time before everyone realizes it. Posted December 6, 2012 9:47 pmT-BagGGG= most overrated fighter there is. another pathetic cherry pick from his team….will this guy ever fight anyone decent? Posted December 6, 2012 9:10 pmoverratedput Golovkin against an elite fighter and you will see the reality, overrated like Bute, Khan and many others Posted December 6, 2012 7:28 pmKoolzI still watch the Proksa fight because Golovkin shows so many boxing skills that other boxers don’t even use now! His defense is second to none! His balance and patience and damn his power! Also come martial arts style of WingChung in there that even Bruce Lee added to Jeet Keen do It’s just such amazing fight! AnonymousRosado will have to box all the rounds…he can’t be careless and get hit as much as he did against Whittaker, who is not a big puncher…Good Luck !!! Posted December 6, 2012 6:31 pmScottI’d pick Golovkin to win against all those you listed except for Ward. I didn’t see him struggle against Ouma at all. Posted December 6, 2012 6:07 pmoverratedGolovkin is an amazing boxer-puncher but he struggled vs Ouma, Andre Ward (SM) would destroy him, and Martinez (M) and Mayweather (SW) would school him easily Posted December 6, 2012 5:56 pmScottAgreed. I’m picking round 3. Posted December 6, 2012 5:55 pmScottI disagree Moonshineman. A lot of people see Gennady as just a crude slow puncher but watching him I see a lot more underneath the hood so to speak. He’s a powerful brawler with skill to back it up. Nothing crude about GGG. Rosado is in a lot of trouble. Posted December 6, 2012 5:54 pmScottGolovkin is going to end this guys career. There’s a lot more to Golovkin than just hard punching. There’s solid skill there too and something next level. He’s a methodical stalker with bricks as hands. GGG by KO round 3. Posted December 6, 2012 5:51 pmAnonymousAt least he’s confident Posted December 6, 2012 5:42 pmMoonshinemanI don’t think Rosado plans to lose this fight. Rosado is a young, tough fighter, and Golovkin will have his hands full. Posted December 6, 2012 4:52 pmB RedR.I.P.
