Joe, let me add one thing, which I hope gives a young scribe like yourself food for thought!
Fans don’t need the paid sell-outs anymore, we no longer have to subscribe to the old boy network.
Social media is bigger than these dinosoars and you keep writing as you do, impartially and objectively, you’ll earn a better living than the likes of Lederman, Hart, Powell and their ilk!

Don Quixote

Juan Manuel Marquez by late KO, regardless of what Harold, Steve Wonder, Lederman says…..

Anon, Mayweather/Pacquiao … the fight ain’t happening. Both earn more money avoiding the loss.

Joe, Lederman is a hack and never asks the tough questions. I’d sooner see and hear you ringside than any of these stooges, but, you’d get to Harold’s age and like him, your pension would be more important ;-)

The Mad Scientist, the f%ck are you talking about, look at the fight with floyd, he never takes any risks in the ring, hes not a true mexican warrior.

Lederman is one of the best ambassadors of the sport. He always makes time for every fight fan who loves to talk boxing. He’s an American boxing treasure!!

For all you guys that watch boxing from the comfort of your home where your able to rewind and ect shouldn’t talk smack about a judge who only gets to view the fight from one angle. I’ve seen plenty of guys say they saw the fight differently depending on the angle-anyway Lederman is pretty good imo

Marquez to knock pac man out and still not get the win!!!

Posted December 7, 2012 4:14 pm

The Mad Scientist

Other than Marquez being nearly 40 years old I always said he’s still to hungry, determined, angry and motivated to get up for another Pacquiao fight just for that one win he’s been denied of..I see Dinamita leaving everything in the ring Saturday night for a late round stoppage or a clear cut ud win..let’s go Warquez!

I would love to boycott this fight because I’m REALLY sick of Bob Arum, but Manny and Márquez are two all time greats and have produced all time battles, so an exception is in order. Say what you want about Manny, but other than Floyd this is probably the toughest fight for him and I think it shows his ultimate respect for Marquez to do a 4th fight and give the man a chance to close his career with the one victory that has eluded him.
In my book both these guys have been good for the sport and are class acts. So may the best man win and best of luck to both.

Marquez will win! I can feel it

te tumbo, pacquiao’s team are betting on Marquez playing all or nothing in this fight. I don’t think so, Marquez is not a slugger, and he knows he is not a big puncher (much less at welterweight). Marquez needs to do what he has done so well in the past: be intelligent, frustrate the opponent, avoid Pacquiao’s big lefts hands, receive as little damage as possible and land as repeatedly and precisely as possible. He cannot put all his money in knocking out Manny, cause the other way around is more likely. He needs to humiliate him by outboxing him in such a maner that not even Vegas judges can see it differently. But the power and speed will still be on Manny’s side.

Ronald Reagan

Pacquiao will KO Marquez in the fifth round.

Posted December 7, 2012 1:20 pm

te tumbo

however, the safe bet is that Marquez will be fighting with the intensity of it being the very last bout of his legendary career. he’s bundled every disrespectful action against him from Team Punkuiao* (and there are many) into a single-minded, do-or-die ferocity and hunger than only a “W” can satisfy. the personal passion and emotion that Maquez is prepared to pour and leave in the ring tomorrow night promises to rattle and derail Pacquiao’s* fight-plan. Manny* is a nice guy who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Juan is the type of guy who grabs caged rabbits, twirls them by the head, and then proceeds to skin, butcher, and prepare them for his almuerzo. this desensitivity to cruelty and bloodshed will be unleashed on Pacquiao* tomorrow night . . . “Duro-Duro-Duro!” . . . War Marquez, WAR.

i don’t think they even need Lederman….David Letterman would be a better judge

Posted December 7, 2012 12:51 pm

te tumbo

i agree that Julie Lederman is the best scorer in the Lederman household. otherwise, they don’t come any stupider than Lederman. a shameless shill if there ever was one. consistently off-base with his scores that invariably favor the house fighter. a total MORON who will call and score a different fight than the one everyone else is watching. his final scorecard literally leaps from the television screen and envelops the viewer’s head like a donkey fart. in fact, Lederman’s scorecards provide a seamless accessory to Lampley’s frequently shrill and inexplicable color commentary resulting in a huge and stinky bowl of WRONG. Lederman truly and absolutely SUX.
