I’ts all over kids. Your overrated and overprotected Pacquiao was just defeated (again) in a big way, by a 39 year old veteran, way past his prime, and way past his weight by the name of Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao clearly lost fights 2 and 3, yet Arum’s judges gave the fights to Pacquiao, for reasons we all know. Great fighters fight and defeat other great fighters….Pacquiao has and will never do that. He has defeated a bunch of nobodies like Hatton, Diaz, Lucero, etc. and washed up fighters like DLH, Mosely, Cotto, Margarito, etc. What a joke! A prime DLH would’ve trashed Pacquiao in 4 rounds. It’s all over! Maybe in 100 years or so, the philipines will have another descent fighter who will beat washed up fighters with great names, and people can call him “great”, and the “pound for pound king” lol

@ annonymous

your a joke, no realistic facts just feelings, be a man and accept JMM
waited for the perfect punch and put manny to sleep, that punch ended a era, and catapulted
JMM past Pac in the history books. That KO is up there with Buster over Tyson or Sanchez over Gomez.

Mexico sent Manny a retirement party,

Congrats to Marquez and Nacho.

He was bashing Marquez’s face in until he made the necessary “adjustment”. PAC looked good, I gave him every round except the 3rd of course. His aggressiveness was only giving Marquez more opportunity to counter. It wasn’t about luck, it was more about Pacquiao making a mistake and Marquez capitalizing. Pacquiao admitted that he didn’t see either punch that dropped him. You’re an amateur analyst and don’t know what you’re looking at.

39 years old with more power, muscles and reflexive capacities can only mean PEDS, whether delivered via transdermal gel (now the prefered way with testo to mask suppression by designer anabolics), injectable (epo, which must be tested on JMM stored urine samples), or parenteral……one look at JMM transformation is presumptive evidence of PEDS, his performance is practically proof of it.

JMM was studying his opponent? Is that is why Marquez face was getting methodically bashed in until his sinuses are collapsed. He is mouthbreathing and will fade due to the profuse bleeding. This “thinking” counterpuncher is doomed, but was saved by a lucky desperate punch that will make him live to fight for another day. Bring on the 5th fight and make it more savage for all ages. It must be that JMM sold his soul to the Devil ( aka BALCO’s Memo Heredia, the perp who turned state witness rat / snitch to save his own hide or maybe because his conscience is bothering him, or out of the goodness of his heart)

Posted December 10, 2012 12:08 am

Pure precision and timing, zero luck. Check the replay. Pacquiao’s brain is in his corner in between rounds. Marquez studies and feels out his opponent, makes his own adjustments. He doesn’t have his trainer doing 90% of his thinking for him. Sure he did a whole lot of feeling out punches but it paid off big.

I cant blame freddy roach for that ko pac was boxing very well . moving his head not lunging in off balance, pac hurt marquez and his killer instincts got the best of him. its just in pacquia he a fighter first .pacquia started pressing for the ko and he ran into a right hand that koed him . if pac had boxed and picked his punches for 2 or 3 more rds he probally would have stopped the game marquez. but he didnt and marquez has the style to capitalize on pacquia agresssion I wouldnt call it a lucky punch its just marquez has the style to beat pacquia . I have seen this before in other fighters norton could beat ali thou norton against other opponets would never do as ali could

“The fruits of labor after using that JUICE!” (lol) HECDOG, you can piss and moan all you want but it’s Pacquiao’s* who has always rejected(?) random and improved testing while Marquez has repeatedly and publicly asserted, “Any test. Any time. I’ve got nothing to hide”. what We DO Know is that neither fighter requested improved testing for this bout. i’m convinced that the contest was fair and square . . . whose “crying” and “whining” now?

Your boxing IQ isn’t very sharp if you think Marquez got lucky. He makes adjustments, and that’s exactly what he did here. Pacquiao was using his head to fake him out and freeze marquez, but marquez saw it coming and timed a perfect right. Watch the replay

Marquez was getting tagged flush in the face before the nice straight that stopped pacquiao in his tracks. It proved that JMM got lucky here and probably does not want a fifth fight after this.

“As much as this wounds deep Boxtra’s predictions were bloody impressive for this one. Credit where its due.” If you say so. Braggadamus made three predictions for the fight, two days apart. One was “Marquez by UD.” The other two were “Marquez by stoppage or punishing SD.” I’ll even go back and give the title of the articles he posted under if you or the little punk wants proof. Braggadamus almost always covers his bases by making multiples guesses when he predicts big fights.

Pac made a poor decision, lunged in with a very lazy jab, he does that often yet usually comes lazy on the 2nd jab looking to set up a straight left. His lack of technique finally caught up to him. Marquez has been stepping outside that jab since the 2nd fight, but usually is not at range for that type of leverage. Wow. I also think pac’s chin was loosened up from the first knock down. He was looking a little fatigued prior to the sixth.

I will add that the straight right hand while stepping forward but outside the southpaw’s jab was seen in the 3rd round of the mayweather Ortiz fight.

No PEDs needed when you to choose to jump face first into a right hand..

Congratulations to JMM. He was clearly losing the fight, but managed to find the KO punch. That’s only 2:1 to Manny now. Time for no.5. And judging by the first 5 and a half rounds of what we saw, I’d pick Pacman to win by KO in a rematch!

This is not baseball where PEDs use get you to hit homeruns, you’re bashing other people’s heads in boxing and PEDs use is inexcusable and tantamount to crime. I’m not a Pac fan but this is outright wrong and drug testing must be regulated from hereon – perpetrators and enablers, like MarPEDs and his trainer roids dealer PEDredia, must be banned at all cost by a regulatory body.

MarPEDs did what he did to win – and he needed to cheat to get it done. This is not boxing if you ask me.

MarPEDs sudden strength in just around 4 months of training is biologically impossible. I take nothing away from him and he has always had Manny’s number. But this one is really incredible. PEDs use to gain strength is just what he needed and it worked. But somehow in history it will always be tainted. Only those medically ignorant can claim that this is a legit win.

Yup. Roach is a dummy. Marquez capitalizes on Manny’s attacks. SO now Roach is telling him to attack even more. SO Marquez is going to make him pay more now. Marquez already has Manny timed like a ROLEX. Now he’s adding the missing component which is Power. Now the 3 Blind mice won’t have a chance to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. Marquez will stop Manny or PUNISH him SO bad that they’ll reluctantly have to give him the decision.

Stricter drug testing should have been done prior to the fight. Where do you see so much power out of MarPEDs in such a short time? In the first 3 fights he landed nearly the same punches on PAC that stunned PAC but didn’t floor him! Now all of a sudden after training with a known Roids dealer he has all this incredible one shot power to KO a full welterweight?! Everyone is turning a blind eye to PEDs use in MarPEDs camp! Post fight drug testing should be imposed to expose the cheater!

I dont think the term destroy can be used as a qualifier to describe the results of this fight. As most who saw the fight have stated, Pac was winning the fight until the ko. So to dismiss all that transpired prior to the ko and labeling it “destroy” does a disservice to the effors Pac put forth prior to the fact. jmm did not destory pac, he merely ko’d him. Also, keep in mind this version of jmm was leaner but he was also heavier. Hmmmm wonder why he wasn’t this lean and heavy when he fought Floyd. Shenanigans????

Funny that most people will talk about juicing: it is natural for those who do not know about training to say those things. There are a million substances that are legal and can aid in creating muscle along with the right kind of training regimen (creatine, HMB, Glutamine, Alpha Lip acid, etc ). Most strength trainers in boxing are not elite trainers. People can speculate all they want; however, Marquez punch was well placed whether he intended it or not. I am amazed at the comments here! Pacquiao was dominating the fight until he was hit by a well placed punch. It happens, it is boxing! Pacquiao doesn’t train as much as he used to anymore. He has too many distractions and carries too many leashes around. Marquez looked determined and Pacquiao was just doing it just to do it. He didn’t even had his gloves on when the fight prior to his was ending. People will speculate about Heredia and Marquez but one thing is certain; Heredia is an amazing strength and conditioning trainer. Heredia worked with the bests and was able to figure out the training that worked and the one that didn’t: Trial and error! Do you think the other athletes outside the US were not juicing when Heredia was caught? Please, most of those running track and field are juicing and it will be absurd to go to a gun fight with a knife. However, what makes the difference when the field is even out comes to training and natural ability; genetics. In conclusion, wow, what a punch: Sergio and Williams dajavu!

Whats next for Marquez? I hope not Mayweather(No disrespect to Mayweather) because styles make fights and it will be a boring fight. Rios, Bradley, Broner, Garcia… — However, Mayweather is a very smart fighter and businessman and he is already seeing an angle after this fight—and i know some of you are too ;)

People………..no need to wonder how jmm summoned power he never had previously against Pac. Boxing is a sport of sorts but more a business of entertainment than anything else. Jmm winning….fighting at a heavier weight and lean to boot are part of the storyline. All designed to be a line, hook and sinker for your dollars. This makes for a perfect storybook ending. The poor soul who never received boxing critics accolades or the purses, redeems himself by beating the man even Floyd dismissed. Add to the drama, make the poor soul leaner, heavier and some how better …..at 39 than when he fought Floyd…….

juan won more rounds that manny over 4 fights and knocked him out cold.
how in the name of god do people not see that marquez deserved this pay-off after all the heartbreak he has gone through in this rivalry and in his career in general.
its one of the most satisfying wins for any fighter iv seen and its a great moment in sports, people shouldnt try to ruin it because their man lost

im a pacquiao fan and i thought he would win a lopsided decision but juan fought an almost perfect fight.
he used manny’s need for a knock out against him.

he was 1 pound heavier than last year and from what iv heard he trained like a maniac for the 13 months to achieve this.
but he didnt undergo the miraculous physical change people are saying he did ,he sacrificed a lot of speed for his power, it was risky but the gambit payed off.

marquez and nacho out thought freddie and pacquiao, simple as that

Pac DID look a lot BETTER than he DID in his last Fight SO I have to give him credit for that. But you must Fight Marquez with some caution. Floyd already gave the blueprint on how to beat Marquez. YOU DO NOT pressure him. You have to focus on hitting and not getting hit. Marquez has Punch variety, precision, and timing…..Juan Diaz learned from pressuring Marquez that’s why he survived in the Rematch. Roach’s time is UP. Everyone has caught on to his methods of all out pressure. Garcia knocked Khan out with a perfectly time Punch and Marquez gave Roach a second helping…..Roach is a JOKE coach like Mayweather Sr. SAID he was…..Learn how to diversify your gameplan SO that its not SO predictable.

I had Marquez HIGHER than Manny on MY personal P4P list after the last Fight. SO this Fight was EASY to predict. Roach should have watched the Katsidis and and Juan Diaz Fights before telling Manny to pressure Marquez. When you pressure TOO much SKILLS and Boxing IQ you get stopped.

Manny weighed in at 147, his heaviest ever, looking cut and lean, while Marquez was only one pound heavier than a year ago, even after a long, special strength and weightlifting training. If someone has been juicing, is the filipino guy who has fought across 9 different weight divisions.

You don’t KO 40 guys without some punching power. Props to DINAMITA for this great win. Timing (andrecklessness by Manny) was the key to this vicious, demolishing KO win by Juan Manuel, the P4P king of boxing.

“is JMM a bigger puncher @ 39yo than Cotto?”-Obviously he IS. He never did any weight training with a Professional Strength trainer before. And now you SEE the results. Marquez is a MUCH better Fighter than Cotto. Just check the P4P list. He already had Manny timed in the last Fight and he simply added more POWER to it. Perfect timing + Added POWER = KNOCKOUT.

Marquez knocked Pacquiao down more times than Mosley, Margarito, and Clottey COMBINED. Because SKILLS is more important than SIZE!!

“how did JMM get this powerful”? his nickname is “Dinamita”. he’s ALways been known for his crunching and punishing power. combine that with timing and i’d have to suspect Pacquiao* of “juicing” if he had shrugged-off that KO punch.

And those of you thinking that JMM is juicing or on PEDS are just reaching far for an excuse. The way Pacman got KOd is called PERFECT TIMING. We know JMM doesnt and never has carried one punch KO power like that. Pacman WALKED into a clean right hand, flush on the chin…combine that with the fact that he probably didnt expect to get hit like that so close to the end of the round, and its lights out…period.

Manny has no wins by KO during the last 3 years, for reasons unknown. Manny recovered well from that first KD, but in the urgency of sending Marquez to the canvas he walked wide open into Marquez’s glove. Manny looked good, but reckless. Marquez looked the same as in every fight. Manny is more athletic, Marquez is more intelligent.

Pacquiao* was a very gracious loser. i just hope he doesn’t ruin it with his customary excuses afterwards. there isn’t much left especially considering his reconciliation with his “god” and wife and family. anyway, the Marquez rivalry has come to a decisive conclusion; Mayweather is now out of the question; and his nation and family beckons. right now might be a sweet time for Pacquiao* to quit Arum’s “business” and shift gears to accomplish what he wants to as a public servant. the Sport will always remember him.

All of a sudden, Marquez found power late in his career -much like Barry Bonds gained bat speed late in his career. Hmm.. He couldn’t seriously hurt Pacquiao for three fights, now knocks him down and then out at age 40. And Pacquiao doesn’t have a glass chin, having gone through what Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Cotto, and Margarito had to offer. Surprised that it was the lightest hitter Marquez who will stop him. And everyone is whispering how buffed Marquez looks now.

Even floyd has failed drug tests they might as well make steroids legal at least it would be an even playing field. True, you cannot blame them, but it was not as if Juan was dominating; in fact I was expecting Manny to drop him any second. If Juan wouldn’t have delivered such a sensational blow, I doubt he would have lasted much longer. I do not say this to take away anything from the great Marquez, it’s just that Manny was coming on so strong and landing that left at will. Juan was hurt badly before that beatutiful punch and certainly had lost that round. Amazing fight, sad for Manny but great match.

My guess is that if a 5th fight is going to happen, then Marquez needs to test positive for PEDS after this fight. I doubt it will happen though. Marquez was always the better fighter, because he’s an elite boxer. Manny is an entertaining slugger, but never an elite fighter. Toprank to their credit, did a brilliant job picking his match ups and selling him like they next best thing since pizza. They did the same with Oscar De La Hoya – who himself was very popular, but never an elite fighter. He lost to all of the elite fighters, including Whitaker who got robbed.

manny pacquiao actually hasn’t looked this sharp in a long time. haven’t seen him look like this since margarito. looked like finally got a better understanding how to fight marquez. but the better man won tonight. not interested in a 5th fight. pac should retire and focus on one profession. sooner or later being a tv host, singer, politician, businessman, philanthropist, fighter, actor will catch up. i’d like to see marquez and bradley fight. with all that bulking up i wonder if he can make 140 comfortably and fight rios and all those talented fighters. broner and marquez would be interesting as well.

I KNEW it would be a stoppage or PUNISHING SD as SOON as I heard what the Gameplan was. Marquez was tagging Manny on the button in the LAST Fight. And now you want to attack him even MORE???? What a DUMB Gameplan. Now the Counter Puncher gets to FEAST on all of the openings. I SAID that IF Manny attacked relentlessly he’d get stopped and I was CORRECT. You DO NOT relentlessly attack Marquez. Katsidis, Juan Diaz, and now Manny Pacquiao ALL agree with ME on that!!

But its very interesting to witness how marquez, who never could do anything to Floyd at a heavier weight or anything significant against Pac in 3 fights, some how KO’s Pac of all people……….at a much higher weight??????????? It’s not only fishy, it’s very very strange. In fact, I’m so convinced a shenanigan took place, I would bet marquez never fights bradley, guerrero or for that matter, Berto. Very sad day for Pacman fans. It was a perfect punch which i think Marquez was practicing in the gym, backing off, backing off, and he waited for the fake jab then the straight left that Manny usually do, he waited for that moment, and even the corner, it was a perfect opportunity. I’m not a Pactard, just a fight fan, but it does make me sad to see a loved boxer been knockout cold like that. I hope he doesn’t any brain injury or something. Everybody in boxing circles knows Pacquiao has been on roids since Freddy Roach and Alex Ariza. Manny weighed in yesterday at 147, heaviest ever, and according to the tv commentators he was 151-152 lbs tonight. That is a bigger version of Manny than when he fought Margarito for the light-middleweight belt!!! Freddy making excuses for his boy’s loss beforehand is silly. Manny was careless (as he admitted himself) ad walked straight to that beautiful right hand by Juan. Congrats to the great Mexican fighter; he sure settled the issue once and for all.

So year ago, as Manny was walking through the bigger guys and dominating them, I raised that this was really unusual… for a boxer to move up in weight and not lose speed, gain power, not be impacted by bigger guys hitting him and not lose stamina. Now that Marquez looks as pumped as he ever has, at the age of 39, and KO Pac is spectacular fashion (a la Pac v Hatton… actually worse), I don’t want to hear that Marquez is on roids. hecdog-Sometimes your analysis is on the money and sometimes its not SO on the money. Well this is one of those cases where you might need to use some EYEGLASSES…..Marquez’s style is more difficult for Pacquiao than Pacquiao’s IS for Marquez. First of all Marquez is NOT flatfooted what Fight are YOU looking at??? He’s on his toes mirroring Pacquiao movement and rhythm. Every time that Pacquiao makes one of his off tempo advances Marquez logs it in his memory bank….After facing Pacquiao SO many times now he’s got Pacquiao timed like a ROLEX. In FACT he landed the only head snapping Punches in the last Fight. He already knows that he can hit Pacquiao on the button and WIN the exchanges. The only thing that he was lacking was enough Power to take it out of the 3 Blind Mice’s hands. And that’s what he’s been working on….THIS time not only will Pacquiao get hit on the button but it will be with more Power. Pacquiao becoming more aggressive is going to get him hit even more often than last time and that’s a BAD recipe vs. the more Powerful version of Marquez….Marquez still has his GREAT timing and MUCH Punch Variety. Pacquiao is in trouble here because of his Trainers POOR Gameplan. Marquez by stoppage or VERY PUNISHING SD.

Juan Marquez is a KING, royalty 100%, that was a pile driver, Manny was out even before he hit the floor ,could not even brace himself to break the fall,Reminded me of Paul Williams, No need for a 5th fight, anyone slamming either fighter is just a pure hater and not a fight fan, these two greats brought out the very best of each other, can’t ask for more then that. hats off to the KING JUAN MARQUEZ, PEACE TO TE TUMBO

So funny to see all these Pactards alleging steroids based on the same things that lead to accusations against Pac. Anyway, Marquez trained for 4 and a half months, that will change your physique and abilities. Simple.
Pac is not going to fight him again.

I stand corrected… Te Tumbo! Put that right hand on a loop and you’ll never be sad another day in your life.

Its called being ring smart. Marquez did not panic but instead set up a trap. I can only imagine what Floyd who is a better counter puncher than Marquez would have done. Arum is really screwed up big time.

Ironic, and funny as hell, really. No disrespect to Pacquiao.

That just made my year. Congrats Juan you deserve it. What a great fight and what a great fighter. Marquez is the man!

Wow, ironic ending to say the least. Two seconds before the end I was thinking that Marquez had landed the best punch in his life in the second round but still could not put Manny away. And just when it seemed Manny was going to run away with it boom, light out. Marquez had a better one in his pocket. As always Pac showed what a gracious sportsman he is. Sad to see him go down and stay down like that, but such is life. Te Tumbo is probably too drunk to even post right now:)

Mr commin sense

Am i the only one who wants to see jmm vs mayweather rematch. The new juiced up jmm would have a great chance to ko mayweather. Unfortunatley floyd knows that too and he wont give jmm a rematch and i dont blame him. Marquez is the barry bonds of boxing. What he did tonight is the equivalent of bonds hitting 70 homeruns. I used to respect jmm but now he is no different then pac or mmas alistar overeem he sold his sole for the victory.

Mr common sense

“Lol peds have nothing to do with it really? Marquez has never turned out somebodys lights like that. He is not a devastating puncher like that”

Its called timing. Recklessly walking in face first doubles the impact of the punch. Also, this may have been a sign of Pac losing his punch resistance, as he has been overall slipping in the last couple of years in terms of his timing, balance and technique. The ability to take a punch goes along with this. I think this was more a case of a fading Pac, as opposed to new found one punch KO power for JMM.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:56 am

ED

Very surprising indeed. Marquez who had no power or speed against Floyd or in his 3 fights against Manny, somehow summons this unknown power at 147 to KO of all people, Pac??????? One thing is certain now, boxing has become a business of entertainment. This designed to convince Floyd he can beat Pac since he “beat” Marquez so easily. Unfortunately for him, his purse will not be the same.

Another crazy thing here is, now that Manny got KTFO steroids are really going on in boxing. Wow, really? really, man, say it ain’t so.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:55 am

this wasn’t even the best version of Marquez that Pacquiao* has faced but as i anticipated, anybody who pressures Marquez is playing with “Dinamita” and “BOOM!” . . . Mission Accomplished . . . Viva Marquez!

I TOLD everyone that facing #0 P4P Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley is LESSER than facing Top 7 P4P Marquez. Manny hasn’t slipped AT ALL. He just stepped UP his level of competition which makes MOST Boxers LOOK like they slipped. I SAID that Marquez’s added Power would be the difference and I was CORRECT. I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!

hecdog was JMM juicing? has he gone from flyweight and through about 7 weight classes, knocking about solid welters like ragdolls? nope but Pacquiao has. you complete joker

Posted December 9, 2012 2:52 am

Congrats to jmm…..but come on people, PAC was owning jmm, beating him up really bad. He just walked into a good shot becz of being too careless. 2 more rounds like the beating jmm was receiving would have put him down. But, PAC made a stupid mistake in a fight he was winning handily. Nothing more, nothing less.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:51 am

Tomato Can

One more time, I don’t think there’s ever been a closer multi-fight between two fighters than these two. All the way up to the end they were even. I thought Marquez was going to be done after the fifth. These two have been doing this for 4 fights/44 rounds. Crazy, they both deserve respect. Marquez just pulled off the unimaginable. Nice Work.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:49 am

Juan wanted this fight more and deserved to win. He trained 4 mos for this fight and Pacquiao trained only 5 weeks. Juan started working on that body a year ago while Pacman came in at his heaviest. He didn’t do any of his conditioning like he did his last 3 fights. Overconfidence is an understatement.

Sad the way it ended. I am not a pac fan but it’s sad.

Lol peds have nothing to do with it really? Marquez has never turned out somebodys lights like that. He is not a devastating puncher like that. I have never seen jmm punch with that much force. Watching the new and improved jmm i believe due to his artificial enhancements he is one of the hardest punchers at 147. Lets not just look at the ko what about the first knockdown that jmm scored. He has hit pac with many similiar punches but now those punches have so much force that oac is flying across the ring? The new marquez should rematch mayweather with his new power he might just ko pbf

There goes Floyd’s pipe dream up in smokes! Never again will he have any opportunity to earn over 50Mil in one fight against anybody else. Although, this shouldn’t really be surprising, this happens to people who fool themselves into believing the world revolves around them. Maybe now Floyd will realize life waits for know one, no matter how skilful you think you may be.

Huge questions about Roach now, Khan gets blitzed and sacks him, Chavez Jr loses and is made to look very average for 11 of 12 rounds, Pacquiao blitzed tonight, is he losing his touch?

Posted December 9, 2012 2:40 am

Textbook Hayelord

Manny was fighting more measured, it looked like Manny had finally figured Marquez out. I had Manny winning rounds 1,2,4,5 and 6 up until the KO. It’s ironic that Manny gets leveled by a guy who didn’t previously have big power. Marquez got robbed last year but did we just witness the same thing happen to Manny?

Posted December 9, 2012 2:37 am

The Prince

Pac fans better be glad he never fought Floyd, because Mayweather would have murdered him in the ring. Now we see why Bob Arum did everything in his power to avoid that fight.

PEDcquiao performs the face plant to the canvas

Here comes all the Floyd excuses. Was Floyd in this fight?

Posted December 9, 2012 2:35 am

Jayde

Big time shot. If you look at their feet, though. Pacquiao stepped up on Marquez’ foot and lost any stability; that’s why the punch was so devastating. It wasn’t steroids. Manny was basically floating in the air when JMM hit him.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:35 am

Tomato Can

Pacquiao and Marquez fought evenly for 44 rounds. But in their 44th round, Marquez got the 1 punch knock out, which made up for himself touching the canvas 5 times. What a history these two had.

Bluesman.. Floyd is the biggest coward in the history of the sport. Every single boxing fan around the world knows that ugly little chicken has been ducking Manny since ’82. There’s 55 or so MEN on this planet who’ve had the balls to do what Floyd was so UTTERLY TERRIFIED of, ie. get in a ring with Manny, but the self-proclaimed ”Greatest of all times” Floyd couldn’t even inflate those rat-sized nuts of his for 36 minutes to do it once. lol. Funny how not one of them demanded that Manny take the test, eh? lol. Your boy couldn’t even summon the courage to fight him even when it had become abundantly clear Manny was on his last legs. lol. What a shameless coward he is. lol. I sincerely (and I mean SINCERELY) hope he dies tomorrow.

Marquez just KTFO Manny. There’s no getting around it. He just leaped frogged Manny big time. was it PED’s, maybe, but I think we all know those are a part of the sport now. In any case, Manny is done now. This era is done now. peace.

Squared-Circle, are you taking the piss? Pacquiao started at flyweight (and was KO’d at that weight) and went through how many weights? knocking solid welters around like rag dolls and you want to question Marquez? you Pactards are relentless, Pacquiao is finished, after that he’ll never be the same again.

Damn, he put him down hard.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:25 am

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Marquez clearly had a brand new muscular physique going into the fight. That’s not something that you magically develop at nearly 40 years old. The steroids gave Marquez the KO power that he’s never had before. Boxing is one dirty sport. Scoreboard: Pacman – 2, JMM – 1. And one draw that neither can claim as victory. Pacman still owns JMM!!!

What a great end for Marquez. Pacquiao held all the glory through out their previous 3 fights, but Marquez got the true sweetness of victory tonight. No one can take this victory from him, all of us will agree Marquez won this one handedly. But through it all, these two fought an even fight all the way up to the end. Both fighters go down as true warriors in my book, what Pacquiao lacks in all around technique he more than makes up for in his tenacity. Tonights fight, was up there with my all time bests…. Grats to Marquez, and Pacquiao deserves the respect of a true ring warrior…

Ironically I thought Manny was just starting to get on top when the punch came. The Mayweather fight may have gone but maybe there will be Manny vs Marquez 5? Btw I think it’s too easy to say that JMM was on steroids as apparently he trained for a full year for this fight – I think this win will probably seal his position as an all-time great.

Posted December 9, 2012 2:18 am

Marquez needs to be tested and manny needs to hire andre wards trainer to teach him defense, being overly aggressive with a master counter puncher like marquez was just a reckless stupid strategy.

Congratulations to Marquez. He hit it exactly when he had to. Judges all had it 47-46 for Pacquiao when the fight ended. With the busted nose, wide open breathing mouth, and loss of control in the fight, that was one of the most dramatic fight enders I’ve ever seen, and it couldn’t have come at a more needed time. Well earned victory for Marquez.
