Posted December 18, 2012 8:03 pmGoldenPowerShowerNo….he’s just a twat Posted December 18, 2012 2:16 pmHaimath8er Posted December 18, 2012 9:21 amClownfishFirst, I would not be surprised in the least if JMM used PED’s. However, Pac fans have to be intellectually honest. When the argument was made that Pac used PED’s, they argued the proof was he never tested positive and that the athletic commissions knew how to catch cheaters. It is now disingenuous for them to make that argument then and discard it now. I would not be surprised if JMM suspected Pac of doing it and went out and did the same. But, people point to his physique as being the point of suspect. That’s murky for an argument. It isn’t as if JMM was blasting full fledged WW’s suddenly. It very much is within the real of possibility to transform a physique to gain muscle with diet and exercise. Most of it is predicated on muscle confusion techniques. The irony about the concern for PED use by Pac or his fans is that they are seemingly unaware of all their extensive arguments as to why he wasn’t, why it was slander/libel and reasonable to sue, why it was reasonable not to test, etc. You can’t cry now. You guys insisted it be this way. You got your wish. Posted December 13, 2012 12:53 pmrootsIf these 2 guys keep on fighting each other, they will be cabbages by the time they are 50, both of them look a bit punchy already. Posted December 13, 2012 9:17 amengr138I’ts all over kids. Your overrated and overprotected Pacquiao was just defeated (again) in a big way, by a 39 year old veteran, way past his prime, and way past his weight by the name of Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao clearly lost fights 2 and 3, yet Arum’s judges gave the fights to Pacquiao, for reasons we all know. Great fighters fight and defeat other great fighters….Pacquiao has and will never do that. He has defeated a bunch of nobodies like Hatton, Diaz, Lucero, etc. and washed up fighters like DLH, Mosely, Cotto, Margarito, etc. What a joke! A prime DLH would’ve trashed Pacquiao in 4 rounds. It’s all over! Maybe in 100 years or so, the philipines will have another descent fighter who will beat washed up fighters with great names, and people can call him “great”, and the “pound for pound king” lol Posted December 13, 2012 3:19 amcesarmaybe Pacquiao should try PED’s so his punches have more power. a single left straight to the face of dinamita marquez will do. Posted December 13, 2012 1:27 amcesarmaybe pacquiao should try PED so that his punches have more power. if taken, a single left straight to the face of marquez will end the fight. Posted December 13, 2012 1:24 amHotshotThere is a very old saying in chess: “The champion is always lucky.” Please take a few moments to digest this. HotshotI thought these guys submit blood and urine before and after fights? Have there been any failed results that nobody is telling us about? It does not do Pacman’s legacy any good with these sort of insinuations, afterall, there are a lot circulating about him using PED and growth drugs too. What goes around, comes around. HotshotOf all people to quote on carelessness in the ring: Roy Jones Jr. What a laugh! Posted December 12, 2012 2:39 pmHotshotSteve, how can you insinuate that JMM used anything illegal for this fight? Any failed tests? Any proof?….I guess not. Just a typical sore fan who cannot accept that his hero lost. Listen, it does not matter whether Manny was careless, JMM threw a lucky punch, flashbulbs blinded Pacman, or if he thought the round was over….the punch that KO’d him came from JMM (not from outer space), landed on Manny’s face, and he was out for 2 minutes. Even boxers greater than Pacman will ever be have lost, NOBODY can win forever. Grow up. Posted December 12, 2012 2:37 pmOCTAVIUS72I disagree with the writer as well. From what I have seen from Pacman; in many cases; his offense is his defense. The problem with that approach is that it can get you in trouble when your in there with an EXTREMELY GOOD COUNTERPUNCHER; and Marquez is ONE OF THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO THAT CATEGORY. As in all of their previous three stanzas; he waited on Pacman to respond so that he could counterpunch. Pacman from what I saw in this fight did what he said he would do and in most cases do; he was putting pressure on Marquez. But for a split second there; he went in and attacked and was wide open for a counter; and Marquez cashed in on it. That’s it!!!!! Posted December 12, 2012 5:54 amHaimatTo further prove this writer wrong, listen to Roy Jones Jr. analyze the fight on HBO ten minutes after the fight: “that lead Pacquiao into carelessly attacking him when he thought he had him” This is way below ESB standard. Posted December 12, 2012 5:12 amHaimatPacquiao got careless and got knocked out. Simple as that. This writer knows very little about boxing. Both fighters have fought more than 60 fights. They are both ATGs. In their fights against each other they are even as far as compubox numbers goes and in all honesty as far as the fights have played out. SteveYeah, the first knockdown seemed to show an unnatural strength, in my opinion. Posted December 12, 2012 12:49 amSteveOh no, nothing murky. Memo Heredia is just a nice guy and he would never administer PEDS, would he, not even if the higher ups in Mexican society were willing to pay him whatever he asked to make sure he did whatever it took for Marquez to beat Pacquiao. Do you know what a crime victim looks like? Look at Pacquiao face down on the canvas and stop being a chump. Posted December 12, 2012 12:46 amSteveIt’s certainly a strong possibility Memo was paid off by higher ups in Mexican society (beyond boxing) to do what ever it took to make sure Marquez beat Pacquiao, up to and including using banned substances. Posted December 12, 2012 12:44 amfrankIt makes total sense take nothing away from marquez he won . its not a excuse it the reason why pacman lost . when pacman was boxiing and using head movement moving in and out he was winning the fight and looked good . Pacquia looked to fast for marquez .He hurt marquez bad in the round he was koed in .Pacman saw how he was busting up marquez and over estamated his own punching power or under estimated marquez toughness. In his haste to ko marquez pacqua ran in to a right hand and was koed .. .like yogi bera said it aint over till its over and pacaquia lost because he ran into a badly hurt marquez trap he lost because he was koed Posted December 11, 2012 8:35 pmObliteratedAll i see are a bunch of sore losers. Posted December 11, 2012 7:26 pmBoxe0Memo is going to make alot of money after this fight. Posted December 11, 2012 3:57 pmAnonymous2 things: 1 someone is on PEDs and it wasn’t the loser and 2 the knockout seemed very odd, ie a set up, I have no doubt that this was part of a plan to lure mayweather into the ring Posted December 11, 2012 3:47 pmAnonymousIt makes alot of sense and since Nacho has been trainning for 1000 years and is just uas cunning as Roach he concentrated on exactly what Manny does when attempting to finish off an opponent and they laid a trap. Simple. Manny is very predictable, you hit him with a good body shot – he takes both hands and punches his body as if to say good shot., Catch him upstairs and he bangs both gloves together and waves guy in as if to say good shot but it didnt hurt. So as he goes to finish a guy he jumps in with a lunging stye and his left very low. You can see it J-U-S-T before the KO shot. Look back at every fight of his and you’ll see what I mean and I’m not a trainer. As far a growth goes, Marquez has been working on muscle build-up LONG before this fight, he looked bigger last fight and actually began with a strenght trainer for Floyd! So this ain’t no sensational overnight growth spurt, he has just now learned to utilize it and built speed. Nothing murky here folks. Posted December 11, 2012 2:44 pmjames barcelonaIn the past 3 fights, Marquez never floored Pacquiao with a single punch nor with a combination of punches and he did it many, many times!!! Pacquiao floored marquez many times so, what’s different in the 4th? Take a guess guys, your guess is as good as mine!!! Highly suspicious is what I can say, specially the first knockdown? Posted December 11, 2012 2:18 pmHidalgo“But you can’t find where i said UD ANYWHERE” I can, Braggadamus : In the thread under the article “Pacquiao vs. Marquez IV: Firmly on the Fence, by Paul Strauss, Dec. 6, 2012. Here’s your post, cut and pasted: Boxtradamus I predict that Marquez will win by UD! Fool. My memory is better than yours. So is my 2012 prediction record. Posted December 11, 2012 12:15 pmRogerdjsSo apparently Marquez was lucky on the third and sixth round?? tweet shun shinIF I was a millionaire, I wouldn’t even be posting on this site. Posted December 11, 2012 11:57 amFloydWell said mate. It was a good fight by JMM but must admit he is indeed lucky at the same time. A second left in the round when Manny tried for another hay maker, just a second left… if it goes to distance it will be a TKO with bloody heavy breathing JMM. Posted December 11, 2012 11:14 amtweet shun shinSome fans just can’t accept what they see. Hardly a lucky punch a trap was set and Pac fell into it. Let a fifth fight happen, I’m sure it’ll be the same outcome. Marquez always catches Pac with great counters now he just realizes he has to fully commit to try for a KO. Let them fight 10 more times, surely 7 of them would end in the same way. Though Pac knocks Marquez down he never truely hurts him. Now on the other hand we see Marquez can HURT Pac. Posted December 11, 2012 10:25 amOscar Milly Bouncelol. is it Floyd for real?? Posted December 11, 2012 10:05 amOscar Milly BounceI appreciate you saying that. Exactly what i thought. Pacman was on his way to close the show and he got caught. Lucky punch Posted December 11, 2012 10:04 amFloyd Mayweather Jr.I am not sure what the author of this article wanted to imply. How do you want Pacquiao to rationalize his loss to Marquez? By saying, “well Clenbuterol anabolic agent supplied by Angel Memo Heredia, Marquez’s trainer, had worked well.” Pacquiao’s rationalization is the most respectful comment that he can give to the winner Marquez. Posted December 11, 2012 5:31 amgruvemeistersaying he got careless is not an excuse…as gajjers say he went for it and paid… Posted December 11, 2012 5:30 amte tumboPacquiao* getting careless is what Marquez was counting on. that’s what his power-training regimen for explosive punching was all about. he gave up on swaying the judges and knew he could rely on Pacquiao’s* aggressive impulses to provide openings he could take advantage of. Pacquiao* still lacks the poise and discipline of a true veteran. recklessly pursuing Marquez following two relatively meaningless flurries was desperately seeking trouble. Marquez immediately set-up to exploit the momentum and Mexecuted a perfect counter. taking full advantge of his power-training, counterpunching ability, and Pacquiao’s* carelessness. Manny* should’ve known better by now and not believe that Marquez is old, ringworn, and vulnerable until he sees it. consequently, he found out in the most convincing fashion imaginable. legacy-defining for both fighters and well-earned justice for Juan Manuel Marquez. Posted December 11, 2012 4:52 amGajjersWhy is that an excuse? He DID throw caution to the wind in trying to take Marquez out when he marched onto that humdinger of a perfectly timed right hand. It happens – this is BOXING. I’d give BOTH fighters their props for giving us a great show. No losers here in my book. The sweet science is still alive & well (so is Manny), thanks in part to these modern day gladiators… Peace! Posted December 11, 2012 4:38 am |
