Pacquiao would do very well to listen to his trainer — not to his promoter. The promoter’s interest and the trainer’s are not the same — money is the former’s, and health and good conditioning are the latter’s.

Roach got the right idea about when it’s best for Pacquiao to return. Arum should go by that instead of being greedy and rushing things.

Pacquiao dropped marquez many times in the past but marquez never came close before the 4th fight! So, what’s surprising about a 39 yr old knocking pac with such unbelievable power? The answers lay on his conditioning coach! If we can’t stop ped boxers, might as well legalize it so every fight would be fair and square! If Pac would choose to stay clean, then Freddie Roach if he is really a father figure to pac, should say, retire my son, and stay healthy! Enjoy your family and millions! Boxing nowadays is not for you…

In the Boxing world a Boxer is A Whore The Promoter is his Pimp and as long as the Fighter can crawl through the Ropes and Touch Gloves with his Opponent the Promoter is going to make him turn another Trick/ Fight. Yes it’s Sad but it’s True so perhaps it’s time for Manny to consider Self promoting himself and getting Bob Arum out of his life and Pocket.

Roach should say, retire Manny NOW! If he won’t juiced or PED-up, give it up now,or risk dying in the ring! If we can’t stop peds boxers from fighting, maybe we should legalize PEDS!!!

I think Pac should take a tune-up fight in June and fight JMM again at end of 2013. Whatever happens at that time, both should retire because the wear and tear of those 2 battling will do more harm than good really. Pac was winning the fight but all it takes is 1 timed punch which JMM did to change outcome. They are both evenly matched fighters who takes huge risk, unlike Floyd. Many of the all-time greats got Koed so Pac just needs a much needed rest and be fully committed like JMM and put aside his politics, singing, and concert following to bed until he beats JMM. I did see the committment difference with JMM and it showed he was the hungrier fighter last weekend. Kudos to him.

Btw, The Ring has finally revised their P4P rankings to belatedly reflect reality: #1. Mayweather 2. Ward 3. Marquez 4. Martinez 5. Broner. it still places Pacquiao* above the Klitschkos(?!) but at least it’s finally got the top-5 right.

Pacquiao* should clash v. Rios on the the Cinco de Mayo undercard of Marquez v. Bradley. no point in attempting the same in 2014 when Marquez figures to be retired, the field of contenders are more formidable, and Pacquiao* is rusty from inactivity.

Arum is a total tool! I don’t think he has ever been good for boxing. I wish the man would go away, just go away! Far as the fight goes Manny’s call. I won’t blame Arum for that.

PAC should get his last fight against Marquez and retire. I would say June is probably a good date where he can rest up and has time to get in good shape too. It makes no sense for him to fight anyone else at this point, although tough as nails but easy to hit RĂos, who’s a smaller version of Margarito, might be a good confidence builder.

I take back what I said about Bob Arum showing true grief when Pacquiao got KOd. Arum wants to get Pacquiao signed to a contract and back in the ring before he has time to think about retiring. As for Freddie Roach, I remember two years ago when Roach claimed Pacquiao would only have “two more fights.” Or maybe Parkinson’s has ruined his memory. Unlikely.

Pac Man should consider a year off after that KO loss and if he does comeback in 6 months it should be against and appropriate tuneup as opposed to a Top Level opponent.. Roy Jones came back to quickly and we saw the results, had he rested after Tarver perhaps he would have got his bearings instead he got knocked out even worse by Glen Johnson.

Mmm, not the biggest Freddie Roach fan but he may have a point. When u get a rep and names such as Pacquio and Mayweather than u have no need 2 fight 4 times a yr. Both fought twice last yr and both the richest no.1 and 2 sportsman. Guys that can do this have earned it. Manny needs a break 2 clear his head and make sure he comes back with vengeance. Another lose and it’s over. He has so many options. Bradley, Marquez, Mayweather, Rios, Gerrerio, Mathysse, all these names people would pay 2 c

September….yes, Pacquiao is probably still seeing some stars. Better take a rest or he will fall asleep on duty again.

He beats Rios. He loses again to Marquez. He has enough money to live 10 life times in the Philipens, why not pack it in ?
