People who get title shots should really be deserving of this, and this opponent is not. While I have heard people say that Froch deserves an easy fight, what was his fight before, as he destroyed Bute. then there is a possibility that he might fight Bute again? Many years ago, a fight like the one being thought will happen would have been a non title fight. Unfortunately, this is not done any more, unless Froch would go up in weight. This would also be Froch’s second fight this year. While I have heard some hear criticize the likes of Ali fighting some ‘easy’ fights, lets not forget that he often fought four times a year, those being 75 and 76, sometimes even only having a months break, as he did after his controversial win over Jimmy Young. Of course with Froch, it has to be remembered that he did have a strink of 4 tough fights, but two of those were due to the Showtime tournament, and his toughness was shown in that only half of the original 6 contestants finished the tournament. While Froch may have an easy fight, such a contest leaves a sour taste to the sport of boxing as Poulard looks like being a lamb left to slaughter.
