marquez fan

yea pacquiao got tripped by marquez and he went face forward to marquez right hand…look at the tape again and pause it when he pacquiao trips on marquez foot…but this is boxing and marquez did a good job on tripping his foot to offset his balance.

did the “humble sportsman” also point out that he stepped on Marquez’s foot to score his 5th-round KD? Btw, tangling feet is a routine and predictable hazard between southpaw and ortthodox fighters. nobody knows this better than the southpaw Pacquiao*, which is probably why he chose to not make a fool of himself by making a big deal out of it to the international media. his boxing-ignorant fanboys rarely exercise the same restraint.

Pacquiao acknowledged in Philippine media that Marquez stepped on his foot which made him outbalanced, tripped and carried all his momentum towards Marquez right power punch. But being a humble sportsman that he is, he did not make a big deal about it to the International media.

it was a defenseive flaw pac made when pac slipped or fell inside marquez left he lined himself or his head with marquezs right hand. pac should have immediatly reached out to marquez right hand and smothered marquez right hand with his own left hand. so marqueez couldnt strike pacmans head with that punch that koed him

@ alex:
yeah, he hit pac in the back.
it was an elbow to the back.
the elbow was on PEDS as well.
thats a trick they teach mexicans as they cross the border. you know, in case they get stopped by border control.
they hit the cops in the back with their enhanced elbows.

I agree Hunter. Lampley and company wasn’t on no PEDS crusade when Mayweather was talking about he felt Pacman was on something. Now all of a sudden their darling PACBOY gets KO’D and his career is in jeopardy and now they want to go on some crusade. I’m glad Merchant is DONE; and IT WILL BE A HOLIDAY AND CELEBRATION WHEN LAMPLEY PACKS IT IN TOO!!!!

LOL; you Pacman FANATICS never seem to amaze me with you BS. I’ve watched JMM hit Pacman with SEVERAL RIGHT HANDS IN ALL OF THEIR FIGHTS. The difference this time is the JMM worked on his POWER for this fight; and Pacman made the mistake of coming at him with WRECKLESS ABANDONMENT because he felt he did enough in the previous round to get him up out of there. BOTTOM LINE IS HE GOT HIT WITH A PUNCH HE DIDN’T SEE COMING AND HE GOT KNOCKED OUT COLD. END OF STORY GET OVER IT AND GET PREPARED TO SEE HIM GET KNOCKED OUT AGAIN IN A FIFTH FIGHT. If you think after that vicious KO that Pacman is the SAME MAN he was before; YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN!!!!!

No10Point

An exploitable factor that took them 3 fights to finally land cleanly.
Was it on purpose – yes.
Can it be proven – No.
Move on – past tense.

I guess it’s hard for some of the ppl on here to be objective when discussing the end of this fight ,clearly you can see PAC jumping in and placing his foot in a position he can’t move from , then the right hand lands, lights out .now Jmm was ready to let the left go but you can see it grazes Pacs backside and dosnt land to the back of the head .grow up ppl it’s boxing ppl get knocked out .

Pac tripped on Marquez’s lead foot as a result of coming forward so hard. All his momentum was going forward with his rear foot off the ground at the exact moment that the punch hit him. That’s why he was out for so long. All his momentum met with Marquez’s punch, probably doubling the force of impact!

@tweet shun shin better read all replies before posting. pac s foot ONLY touched NOT steped on marques foot.. @ marquez fans especially the mex who flames nonsense, you guys are full of s h i t.

YES!! ….YESS!!….Of course!….now it all makes perfect sense Pacquiao’s chin got soft because Marquez stepped on his foot. Why didn’t we see that before??

If you watched closely the Pacquiao-Marquez 3 bout, you will see that Marquez was really stepping on the right foot of Manny many times (watch Youtube) in order to release his punches so that Manny could not maneuver or walk-out from those punches of Marquez. Marquez is an old wicked boxer. He needs all the tricks to win.

Alex

Not only did Marquez step on Pacquiao’s foot but Marques delivered an illegal blow to Pacquiao’s back that seemed to me the real blow that kept Pacquiao from getting up. Too many boxers form down south of the border turned into dirty fighters, that’s the truth. I look forward to Guerrero getting knocked out when he stops fighting dirty like holding the other guy’s head with one hand and hitting him with the other without interference from the referee.

Whether is was intentionally, we will never know, Marquez did the same thing many times in the 3rd fight. As for Pacquiao stepping on Marquez,s foot err no, their just touched, there is a different in touching and stepping on.

LMAO at this article. I backed marquez heavily so I was happy with the result, however saying standing on ur opponents foot is accidental is laughable. Its an old pro trick and marquez done it perfectly, I try it in the gym all the time. The writer clearly knows very little or has never boxed before, probably both

Some body inside marquez training revealed that in a close door marquez team practiced many times how to invite pacquiao to force marquez in a corner and do the this thing…that is to step on his foot and threw a solid punch… that way pacquiao cannot step back for a lesser impact of the blow

check the videotape: Pacquiao* tripped Marquez for his own flash KD. the difference is that Marquez always gets up, dusts himself off, and continues to fight whenever he’s knocked down. why can’t Pacquao* simply do the same? . . . (lol) . . .

Marquez offered to do random testing – pacman turned him downl. Truth is, whatever JMM is supposedly on, Manny had been doing for years as well

look Marquez did not pin his foot at all, Pacquiao engaged Marquez like an AMATEUR!!! He is the one that stepped on Marquez, but what put him off “balance” was that AWSOME RIGHT HAND!!! He put him off “balance” for a few days!! Now the Knock down that counted against Marquez that was a trip. Pacquiao tripped him, but funny how nor you nor the writer seem to point that out. SMH.

PAcquiao lost his balance. Thats what happens when someone steps on your feet and you are trying to maneuver to get a vantage postion. HE LOST HIS BALANCE BECAUSE ONE OF HIS FEET WAS PINNED DOWN BY MARQUEZ !!!

If Pacman were attempting to retreat at the time of the KO, then MAYBE that argument could be made. But Pacman was coming forward when he got hit, and his momentum continued to carry him forward after he was it. It a brilliant counter right hand by JMM that landed on the button…end of story…night night Pacman.

Posted December 19, 2012 1:56 am

how could JJM complain if he also did it to manny and resulted into the KO of the year……

I’m so sick and tired of all the colossal bs about this fight. I didn’t see the foot but i would be willing to bet 100$ that Marquez had his left foot on the outside of Pacquiao’s right foot and that’s why he was able to land that punch. It was not a lucky punch. And shame on hbo and fightnews and all of the media types who are in mourning because their darling Pacquiao got destroyed. Jim Lampley is now on his show diatribing about ped’s and something’s got to be done. He’s a pissant and sychophant (look it up if you don’t know the meaning). In my opinion Pacquiao had been on ped’s for YEARS when he was beating the crap out of guys who walked into the ring as middleweights or super middleweights…all Marquez did is land the perfect punch when a hyperactive and reckless Pacquiao left himself wide open….in the last 2 seconds of the rd. I don’t want to hear any comparisons of Pacquiao being the greatest fighter of all time, he’s not even close to being the greatest southpaw of all time. Could you even begin to imagine Marvelous Marvin Hagler getting knocked out like that or sweet pea whittaker getting hit with a shot like that. Of course not, hey i don’t hate Pacquiao, i hate what everyone made him out to be….like he made 26 million for this fight and Marquez made a paltry 6 million by comparison. It makes me sick, well Marquez got the last laugh…I hope Marquez fights someone else and retires(he probably won’t due to $) but he deserves the lion share after knocking Pacquiao out like that now that’s for sure!

When a southpaw and conventional fighter fight. They always have problems with their feet getting tangled up. Just a product of them fighting. However being a Paq fan, he just plain and simple got knocked out by a punch not a foot.

You sore loser, pacquiao had swung at him with a right jab so he went forward, the foot stepping photo u see isn’t the knock out one its another one…because pacquiao hit him in the face then Marquez laid him out….you pathetic sore loser

Posted December 17, 2012 2:54 pm

Marquez#1

Funny cause that’s not even the punch that laid him out, pacquiao’s right hand was stretched out you sore loser

stepped on his foot????, are you kidding me?, actually JMM KO’d a sparring with that same punch during his training, he practiced that counterpunch for months

Posted December 16, 2012 2:15 pm

Tarantula

As you can see from the image that Pacman’s body is slightly off to the left but his right foot is still stuck facing Marquez position.
It only means that Pacman wants to avoid the punch but his foot is stuck so his body stayed in one area and cannot position from another angle.
This all happened in a split second.
My friends and I have tried it. You don’t believe it?
Then try it with your friends. Let him stomp your foot and position yourself from another angle to avoid his punch.
I’ll tell you, the momentum of your evasion will ceased.

The Akbar One

Pacman would have been KO’d by the impact of that punch whether he was getting his foot stepped on or not. He had just thrown a jab, and wouldn’t have been out of the way of that right hand either way. Now on the other hand, Marquez never would have even went down if Pac didn’t trip him.

JMM, has been trying to land that str8 right from the side for some time now. Only this time he landed it flush..JMM is a class act and for him to train and still be as hungry as he is at 39, well enough said. Good job Amigo.

NO. Pacquiao* lost because he’s too dumb and undisciplined to avoid Marquez’s explosive right-hand. Marquez was counting on it. however, Marquez’s KD was primarily due to Pacquiao* tripping him and forcing Marquez to maintain his balance by touching the canvas with his glove not his face but Marquez isn’t complaining. Viva Marquez! . . .

Haha, watch the cameras overview clearly pac was stepping on marquez’s foot when he landed the punch that sent Marquez to the canvas, yet fans and media doesn’t mention that. Pac fell like a bag of bricks because he has gotten hit coming forward as his momentum came to an abrupt, violent and sudden stop. Let there be a 5th, 6th and 7th fight. Pac’s physical and mental barriers have been broken, ill wager the World every fight will end in the sale result… Lol

Posted December 15, 2012 9:06 am

If you look at the overhead cam shot, It was Pac that tripped on marquez’ toe. PAC was concentrating more on regaining his balance and was already falling forward when he was hit. That is why he fell forwards instead of backwards.

Did Pacquiao lose to Marquez because he was stepping on his foot when he KO’d him?
