Just seen King Abraham vs Boudla on tv. It is the best version of AA I have seen, taking into account that Boudla is a simple brawler. Nice precise shots from the beginning, a lot of activity and good defence from the King. Surprisingly fine boxing from AA, he is way more fit, at this point. I think the King is adjusting to Smw. The outgunning he took from Froch earlier, warns me, though that Abraham can’t mix it with Kessler, Froch and Ward. I would like to see the King against Bute, at some point. There are some new british guys coming up in Smw, but its too early for them, right now.

just sayin

AA was a paper champ at MW? You are a retard, that’s for sure

X – Abraham was badly outclassed against Froch and Ward and even Dirrelll until his DQ which he likes to brag about because it’s the only decent punch he landed all fight – LOL! Abraham was a paper champ at middleweight as well. Whether he’s middleweight or super middleweight he’s just not very good. The S6 exposed him for what he was. And a similar tournamanet would have exposed Ottke and Beyer as well.

AA still is kind of unproven in SMW division because Taylor was damaged goods, and he lost all other fights in the Super6.

However, I think we have to acknowledge that stepping up a division to compete in this tournament of champions would have been quite a tough task for anyone.

There had been no warm up fights for AA in the SMW division.
Now, he has found some beatable opponents and settles in quite nicely in the division.
Of course, he may still be not tall or good enough to excel at SMW… but given the experience and comfort he has acquired in the division by now, he just might do better against the top tier of fighters than he did in the super6.

Jan DK, he will milk it in Germany, he knows he is not good enought to fight any of the top fighters, obvious.

How can the WBO allow such a joke fight to happen anyway? Boudlha was used as a warm up for Kessler on his comeback trail…..I guess it makes sense, they wouldn’t have called him up if he was any good, nothing the krauts like more than feeding corpses to their paper champions.

What a sh..t comment. Did you see Miranda 1 and 2. Abraham then, as a MW, joined the super six SMW tournament and fought all the best outside of Germany…………….so whats you problem ………??

Not a huge AA fan but love the fact he showed heart vs Miranda I, Froch and Ward. All true boxing fans respect this and was able to successfully continue his career.

@ Firestarter. Think Kessler will annihilate Cleverly. He is way to loose in defense and despite Cleverly having the weight advantage over Kessler i really see Kessler being the stronger puncher. Add to that, Kessler’s technique is far superior and allthough Cleverly has some pace i see Kessler as faster. Another disadvantage for Cleverly is that he really likes to stand still in front of his opponent wearing his oppponent behind his guard. However, it would be rather unwise to use that tactic in front of Kessler. Kessler’s punches are thrown from all angles and with great power too. i don’t see much of a contest between those two. One thing Cleverly has though is heart, but again so does Kessler. Overall i think Kessler is another league than the good Nathan.

@Justin I don’t think Kessler will face AA, AA will keep meeting boxers for awhile and make some $$.

Bute – Froch could be a negotiation trick to get some “step-aside-money” or at least thats what I hope

Kessler could face a Nathan Clewerly, at a catchweight.

Groves v Johnson

I hope doesn’t respect Johnson too much, throw combinations.

Just learned that Kessler v Ward II and Kessler v Froch II will be extremely difficult to make in the near future. Apparantly Bute is claiming the rematch against Froch (how silly that may sound).
Further more, IBF is dictating Froch to fight Adonis Stevenson after the rematch against Bute which will push the much anticipated fight against Kessler at least a year, if not more, into the future.
Ward on the other hand is currently out with a shoulder injury but still set to fight Pavlik. After this the WBA has decided that Ward must fight Kessler in the upcoming summer. This will however probably be pushed a lot since Ward still hasn’t declared himself fit to fight Pavlik.
Who should Kessler fight in between??
I don’t think it would be good for Kessler to wait untill one of those two are ready until his next fight, but i fail to see who else will be a good match-up in the SMW. Abraham could be a possibility, but i seriously doubt Sauerland will put Kessler in with Abraham, as they promote both fighters and Kessler would wipe the floor with Abraham and ultimately end Abrahams career.
The other possibility is for Kessler to take a catch-weight fight in LHW. I wouldn’t suggest him moving all the way up in LHW, especially not if he wants to fight Froch or Ward, but certainly there must be a range of LHW fighters wanting to fight Kessler at a catch-weight.

soliman vs sturnum should be a much better match up…..

Bad fight in every way, AA was every round, without AA looking good.
At best it was a stay busy fight, but as I expected when AA got a belt is that
he is going to face opponents that are not top 10 SMW.

Killing Moon The Soothsayer

Borefest….Abraham looked old…A rusty Kessler walked through Bouadla….Abraham couldn’t stop him on his own….That eye-injury didn’t look that bad to me…It was clear things didn’t go according to the plan so the bought ref stepped in…..I mean shouldn’t a doc have checked it what the hell!!

Darn. Gerber lost. I really wanted him to go far–Sprott’s his nemisis. Oh well what did I expect from a guy named after baby food.

Fight over. Abraham wins by TKO against a fighter not worthy of a championship fight. I feel sorry for the guys that paid to attend it.

Posted December 15, 2012 6:18 pm

Up to now pretty boring fight with Abraham winning every round easily. This is more like a public training but a pro fight.

Posted December 15, 2012 6:15 pm

Abraham will WIN.
