it is very possible that pac will be koed again by marquez . since marquez does have new found power . and marquez style has always given pacqai fits.. Though up until the ko I thought pacqaia looked good . I think he should take a tune up fight or even a closed door gym fight to see where he is at . If that goes well he can rematch marquez again .I hope he and roach can fix the defensive flaw that got pacman hit with right hand if they do fightagain

Mayweather Sn.’s opinion on anything but drugs is dismissible.
What he knows can go on the head of a pin and have room for 17 priests
to dance the hora.
Pacquiao will destroy Marquez the next time.
And Mayflower jr. will still not fight him, or any other major talent like Martinez
because he’s got a puny heart.

Anonymous… I totally agree with you on the drug testing.. Random drug testing up until the fight would be a great thing… Mayweather Jr. Has adopted this style drug testing for his fight and other fighters UFC included she do the same thing. “You say you the best take the test” (Pacroid)

Well Cheese most boxers have help with ped`s legal or not in their career. Pac is no exception I believe too that he was on gear a while back but he is not now. Ped is rife through boxing at the top level same with ufc.
With no random Olympic style testing in boxing its easy to use any number of methods using growth , testerone, epo and insulin.

It’s funny how people is blaming JMM for roids… What happen to pacroids big power??? All of a sudden Pacroid move up in weight now he’s knocking guys out.. Then he’s accused of roids in the public then all of a sudden his big power is gone. No knocks in three years… You pactards need to quit.. Big ups to JMM for knocking Pacroid TFO!!!

Jmm looked juiced so i imagine pac will have a tough night if there is a rematch. Getting sparked like that does seem to have an effect on fighters durability.

floyd mayweather jr its now safe for you to come out of hiding and fight little manny pacquiao . Hes not feeling so good any more

People who think Floyd ducked PAC is ignorant and don’t know nothing about boxing. PAC is the dumbest boxer in history! Bob Arum didn’t want Floyd to expose his gravey train fighter. JMM KO PAC TFO!! And arum is fine.. Why oh JMM is a top rank fighter to.. Pac fought all Bums (clottey) or weight drained fighter ( Delahoya, cotto,Marg the list goes on) PAC will get knocked out again if he fights JMM!! Big ups to JMM for proving he is the much better fighter than PAC..

if pac shows any decline at all he should walk away no question. Hes always gonna b in the ring with top level opponents so its too risky. I personally think he can come back to his old self, would at least like to see him knock bradley the f out just because of how tim acted after they fought. Its not like bradley puts any mustard on his punches so itll b all good

That is so very nice of Floyd Sr. to say. I am sure that Manny hopes that Floyd Sr. can stay out of jail for at least a year.

All fighters have flawed technique, how many PERFECT fighters are there?? The GREATEST boxers thru the course of history are not all undefeated so lets stop acting like children… Manny Pacquiaos skillset allowed him to beat the hell out of some of the most talented fighters of his ERA… He was named fighter of the Decade so aside from Mayweather who would you RATHER be??? He earned Millions and gained worldwide fame… NOT bad for a guy just laden with flaws…. Sheesh who should Pac Man want to be ???? Kell Brook LMAO

JMM won the 3rd fight according to many (I felt tossup) Heredia was around then, why would Marquez NOT fuel up for the 3rd bout but ONLY the 4th bout??? He had no clue he would receive a 4th chance most of the writers and public did not initially support the bout?? So if JMM was going to cheat then why not do it during the 3rd contest?? I cannot wait to hear the silly conspiracies that arise

Posted December 20, 2012 2:07 pm

Sorry Hecdog your “Sore LOSER” act has only continued… Marquez was NEVER indicted by the Government nor hauled in front of a jury like Barry Bonds… NO ONE has testified that Marquez used anything and he tested clean….His win is NOT tarnished, the only thing that was tarnished if Mannys reputation at this point and time… He was knocked clean out by a close to 40 year old version of Marquez….Your bias is evident because Pacquiao has been the subject of MORE PED speculation that ANY fighter in the sport over the past several years (unfairly) your attempts to mitigate his loss via the “drug route” have fallen flat… Marquez and Pac fought on an even playing field both subjected to the same standards and JMM won… Live with it!

I’ll agree with you to an extent because 2 of those fighters also beat pacman. Morales beat him once then pac beat him twice. Marquez Ko’d pac and the other 3 fights could of went either way. Of course pac is an all time great but not the best ever. It’s almost impossibe to say that considering pac has been knocked down numerous times and knocked out 3 times. However I will say this, if pac was blessed to be trained by the Mayweathers, he would have beaten everyone he faced. Can you imagine if Pac with all his speed and power also had defense like mayweather and smart counter punching? That combination would create a fighter we’ve never seen in boxing. Pacquiao’s flawed technique is always great against fighters who can only brawl with no counterpunching and ring IQ. Mayweather and Marquez are the best counterpunchers in boxing. If you seen how Marquez landed shots on pacquiao, imagine what a better counter puncher with more speed would do to pacquiao.

Marquez’s main goal for the longest time was to beat Pacquiao… He was indeed looking for the KO from the opening bell… Top trainers and master boxers will generally tell you “Never look for the KO, just win each round … and if the KO comes, it comes easier when you’re not looking for it.”

The first rule in Boxing is: Don’t Get Hit.. The second rule is: Don’t forget the first rule … The reason for this philosophy is, you want a great life after your Boxing career is over, and Marquez, whose day job is being a CPA, is a great believer in life after Boxing.

But there are exceptions to every rule … and this fight was one of them.

HECDOG, i don’t give a crap about anything that Team Pacquiao* “says”. they’re always saying and declaring crap that they’re not willing to sign their names too. Marquez and Mayweather have actually aligned their careers with their words and Done It. Btw, thanks to Pacquiao’s* unequivocal endorsement of his precious “commission(s)”, they feel perfectly fine with allowing ” . . . convicted, cheating, snitching lying, changing name, PED suppliers like Angel Heredia in the sport” (lol). after all, “the commissions make the rules”, not YOU or Pacquiao*. Suck-it-Up. you were in complete support of that alibi just three short weeks ago. what’s happene to change your mind? . . .

Hecdog are you at it again with the PED nonsense..?? Like I been telling you where was the outcry during the 3rd Pac/Marq fight..I guess you didn’t care then as long as Manny was awarded the victory and didn’t suffer no reall ass beating..you said if Marquez’s test came back negative you’d give him his props on the victory and that would be the end of that..stop being a poor sport and move on already,, Marquez is the better fighter between the two of them.

All the Mayweathers are very sad Pacquiao got KO’d decisively. It means the greatest and richest matchup in fistic history was a fantasy—and is no longer possible—because Pacquiao WASN’T one of two candidates for GOAT after all …. It’s a empty feeling when something you’ve thought about for years, something you’ve dreamt about, the whole world talked about, and constantly asked you about for years. A fight that could have stamped you as the undisputed GOAT dissolves before your eyes like blue smoke and pixie dust. Marquez is an ATG in his own right—and anything can happen in a boxing ring—but it was still a shock to Floyd …. Just whip Robert G—then whip Pac in the massively hyped GFOAT. Now it seems like the greatest illusion ever constructed by man and perpetrated on the world at large. Floyd had both hands around it … and it’s gone.

(lol) it’s hilarious watching the Pactards* desperately lobbying for improved testing methods NOW (lol). whatever happened to “the commission makes the rules not Mayweather” and “Pacquiao* has never tested dirty so Mayweather has no right to demand OSTing”? now that Manny* has been brutally and decisively Mexecuted by Marquez, it’s all about “Boxing needs to do something across the board.” (LoL). sure. why not? after all, Marquez is on public record as having no problem with “ANY test. ANY time” and it’s what FLOYD MAYWEATHER has been asking for all along. ONLY Pacquiao* and his Pacturds* have ever objected to improved testing but they’ve changed their tune now, boy . . . So many boxers become a sad story at the end of their career. I hope because of all the other things pac has goin on in his life he can walk away before he becomes a vegetable. That would be horrible if he kept fightin and takes so much damage that hes no longer able to work as a politician or just contribute in some way to society. We would all be depressed if he could no longer do karaoke! We will see when he fights again exactly how that knockout affected his ability. and Roy JJ please stop fighting!

Pacqs in the fight game and being realistic, he never took a sustained beating and in his mind he was taking the fight to Marq…As far as he his concerned he can beat him.No matter what anyone says he has beaten Marq twice and its on record..I bet big on him last time out,I’ll bet big on him again.Marq is a fine and dangerous opponent but then so is Pacq……..However you look at though they were great fights….

Time will tell if Manny can regain his form, but there is certainly reason to suspect he might not be able to take the abuse that was his trademark during the heydey of his career…Perhaps he becomes more cautious yet still effective? Barrera did it at a certain point OR he goes out like RJJ

Posted December 19, 2012 12:04 pm

I can see how Pacman may not be the same going forward. The thing is when you get hit like that again, the brain’s automatic response is to shut down…a method of self-defense/protection if you will. Pacman can continue to fight and take shots, but he will no longer be able to withstand hard, clean shots like that. Taylor and RJJ are perfect examples of this.
