COTTO EVEN AT 154 SHOULD AVOID A PAC FIGHT. HE SHOULD HAVE LEARNED A LESSON ON THEIR LAST FIGHT AND FROM MARGARITO AT 162 DISLOCATED HIS ORBITAL SOCKET AGAINST PAC.
PACQUIAO IS DANGEROUS OPPONENT FOR COTTO AT ANY WEIGHT.
WHAT HAPPENED TO COTTO AND MARGARITO MIGHT HAPPEN TO FLOYD,… OR EVEN WORSE.

Manny needs to move on! Arum is having Manny fight stable mates so Bob can continue to profit. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bob didn’t have anything to do with the loss to Tim. Manny had numerous chances to jump on Bradley and knock him out constantly let Tim of the hook when he was hurt. Cost Manny his belt! If Manny is not going to make the fight with Mayweather then he should retire. If Manny wants to go out with a win have the rematch with Tim Bradley (possibly giving Arum another fat payday) then retire. I personally think that the rematch will be a bust.Posted August 24, 2012 11:10 am
COTTO AT 154 WILL BE SLOWER AND PACMAN MIGHT DISLOCATE HIS ORBITAL SOCKET LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO MARGARITO WHO FOUGHT PAC AT 162.Posted August 24, 2012 11:09 am
Cotto vs Pacman II.. This time no catchweight! and do the olympic testing while theyre at it. Pacquiao to my knowledge has been the only boxer to refuse to do the testing.. I wonder why is that.Posted August 24, 2012 9:03 am
…Armstrong,as you know, keeps insisting that he did nothing wrong and that he passed “every drug testing administered to him”,which is true but eyewitness evidence suggest otherwise.Needless to say,he was stripped of ALL his Tour ‘de France tittles and banned FOR LIFE in any international events…very interesting!!Posted August 24, 2012 3:31 am
Extra!! extra!!;Lance Armstrong just threw-in the towel;i’ll suggest PEDman do the same for the sake of the sport!!Posted August 24, 2012 3:26 am
i think Kahn would pose a difficult but not insurmountable challenge to Marquez. in fact, after watching Marquez handle Pacquiao* at 140lbs+, a slimmer version would present a faster and even more lethal challenge for Khan to overcome. if Peterson dared fight Marquez like he did Khan? he would be dismantled and Crunched in typically gritty Marquez fashion. i don’t think Peterson would stand much of a chance at all.Posted August 24, 2012 1:40 am
Simpy put, Pac has run out of options. He should just retire, since he refuses to do what it takes to fight Floyd Mayweather.Posted August 23, 2012 8:51 pm
From memory, I believe Pac also had demands in the original contract about glove size and ring size. Could be wrong though.Posted August 23, 2012 8:47 pm
Te tumbo i dont think the great Marquez fears anyone but he cant beat Kahn or Peterson because their size and athleticism.Posted August 23, 2012 8:45 pm
Btw, Marquez conquered 135lbs while hot on Punkuiao’s* trail while Pacquiao* hasn’t “conquered” or unified a single weight-class.Posted August 23, 2012 8:12 pm
No one who is being objective would say Pacquiao was doing good in that fight. Most think he lost the fight. The fact of the matter is he ATE LEATHER all night long.Posted August 23, 2012 7:15 pm
who do you favor over Marquez at 140lbs? or who do you think that Marquez fears at 140lbs?Posted August 23, 2012 7:07 pm
Btw, if Pacquiao* was doing so good, what was with the desperate pleas of “don’t let [Marquez] take control of this fight!” between rounds? why did Pacquiao* refrain from his usual post-bout celebration following the final bell and instead immediately rush to his corner to kneel and desperately pray for salvation? even the usual blustery Roach was contrite when he admitted that “Marquez deserves a rematch.” those don’t sound like the confident or celebratory words of a convincing winner. however, feel free to go on record as scoring the bout for Pacquiao*. although, prepare to defend your scorecard with FACTs not fan loyalty to Pacquiao*.Posted August 23, 2012 7:06 pm
“And again my friend Floyd has constantly changed his demands from cutoff dates to purse splits”. WRONG. March 13th was agreed upon as the likely date for their showdown and after minimal posturing, the two sides agreed to a 50-50 financial split. The fight would be known as “Mayweather v. Pacquiao*” (rather than the other way around) but Top Rank would be referenced ahead of Golden Boy in all promotional material. to ensure that Mayweather wouldn’t once again ignore the contractual weight limit like he did v. Marquez, Mayweather agreed to a $10 million penalty for each pound that either fighter weighed over 147lbs. however, at this point, the Mayweather camp also insisted that both fighters be subject to “Olympic-style testing” conducted by the USADA and THIS is when Pacquiao’* began with his absurd excuses and inexplicable refusal to test aLong with Mayweather. bottomline, Pacquiao* never intended to face Floyd on a certifiably level playing field.Posted August 23, 2012 6:56 pm
And let me see Marquez obliterate ww like Pac did he wont even attempt to conquer jww.Posted August 23, 2012 6:05 pm
Te tumbo while Marquez was masterfully leading Pac around the ring he was also getting his face tattooed with bruises. And again my friend Floyd has constantly changed his demands from cutoff dates to purse splits while Pac sits back and laughs at his cowardice. Yes Floyd is bigger and fastsr but Marquez has the better feel for a southpaw and throws combos behind his counters not potshots let me see Floyd throw combos at Pac lmao. Taylor beats BHop twice Pavlik beats Taylor twice and BHop smokes Pavlik style makes fights. Pac can beat Floyd and Floyd knows it.Posted August 23, 2012 6:02 pm
“Bring on the Klitschko brothers to 147 lbs and Pacquiao will fight…”(?). that’s brave(?) of Manny* to dare shadowbox 147lb versions of a Klitschko. after all, that’s all that would be left if either Klitschko boiled themselves down to welter.Posted August 23, 2012 5:55 pm
Xylocaine is NOT illegal in Nevada as long as it’s not used within a week of the fight. in fact, DLH used to publicly claim that he used Xylocaine before his bouts. besides, Floyd has never tested positive for any PEDs despite subjecting himself to random blood and urine testing for his last three bouts. the same harmless testing (unless you’re hiding something) that Pacquiao* refused to take because (according to Pacquiao*) he is a Catholic Filipino who feints at the sight of his own blood and if you disagree, he’ll take you to court. Anyway, the commissions are either not testing for Xylocaine or Floyd “The Natural” Mayweather is clean and legal enough to beat the holy piss and crap out of St. Pacquiao*.Posted August 23, 2012 5:51 pm
@foreal, You continue to follow floyd’s nuts by saying “PEDS, weight drain, etc.” Manny Pacquiao has NEVER been tested positive for any kind of illegal drugs while Floyd has been using Lidocaine (illegal in ALL states except Nevada). For over three years now and Floyd has NO evidence whatsoever to support his fake claim of PEDS. Thus, Floyd has refused to go to court multiple times. Back in March of this year, Pacquiao was so kind and humble to let Floyd’s lawyer postpone this Peds case due to floyd’s jail sentencing. Have you ever heard of any boxer as kind as Manny? Are you as kind as Manny? Stop claiming something that’s untrue. Also, Cotto weighed only 1 pound heavier on his prior fight before he fought Pacquiao. Cotto thought he would beat Pacquiao because he was and still is much bigger than Pacquiao, but it was a nightmare for Cotto. Manny Pacquiao does not care how big you are; as long as you weigh the same as him, he will fight you. Bring on the Klitschko brothers to 147 lbs and Pacquiao will fight…Pacquiao is NOT a coward like Floyd, but he is a true Warrior.Posted August 23, 2012 5:23 pm
with the exception of Pacquiao’s* notoriously ignorant fanbase, EVERY objective and knowledgeable fight-fan must now recognize that Punkuiao* has been the primary obstacle to confirming a P4P Showdown v. Floyd Mayweather. a simple and affirmative response to Floyd’s anti-doping challenge and this proposed matchup would’ve been settled 2+ years ago. i’ve always been 100% certain of a Mayweather win v. any version of Pacquiao* that has ever stepped into a boxing ring and Marquez’s unofficial “W” only reinforced this belief. after all, Mayweather can do everything Marquez can but bigger, faster, and better. in fact, he proved it in a face-to-face contest v. Juan “Pac-Daddy” Marquez himself. just like Pacquiao* couldn’t in Three-Consecutive-Contests with every advantage in his favor over the past 8 years. IMO, this matchup always figured to be anticlimactic but i Still want to see it for posterity’s sake and to prevent Pacquiao* escaping with his promotionally-contrived image of a great fighter. he’s always been good but Never proved his presumed greatness.Posted August 23, 2012 5:22 pm
There’s still a lot of time from now until December 01. I hope Top Rank puts Pacquiao vs. Cotto and Bradley vs. Marquez for December 01. Bradley vs. Marquez, who will back paddle? Both back paddled all night long for survival mode when they fought against Manny Pacquiao.Posted August 23, 2012 5:09 pm
…and Mosley was what?almost 40 years old?…nice try!!Posted August 23, 2012 3:52 pm
…real fans know what’s going on;beating fighters past their prime, weight drained, catchweighted, not @ their peak is pointless and for anyone to suggest Oscar was in his prime years when he fought PEDman, well,it says a lot about PEDma’s fan base.Another Cotto/PEDman fight with a catchweight is about as pointless as another bad Friday the 13th sequel.Posted August 23, 2012 3:48 pm
Foreal Mosley weighted in at 147 and Margo a carrer ww was a healthy 162 when he entered the ring hardly drained if u ask any neutral party. Only Oscar was drained and he chose not to rehydrate to try to deal with Pacs speed.Posted August 23, 2012 3:30 pm
…so,lets recap:Cotto stepped up to the plate, take random test along with Floyd, puts up a good fight and loses;PEDman never agreed on anything to fight Floyd, beats Cotto with his catchweight BS,finds himself without a belt and after a dismal PPV numbers vs Bradley, tries to lure Cotto again with more catchweights…nice!!Posted August 23, 2012 2:57 pm
Yeah and it’s not like the Margarito fight. Cotto is a very viable fighter. It will be an entertaining fight at least.Posted August 23, 2012 2:50 pm
…excuses, nothing more…everyone knows that the only prime legit welter without weight restrictions of any kind that PEDman ever faced was Joshua Clotty and he didn’t even made an effort;everyone else was either weight drained or weight restricted, beaten up to a pulp, past their prime like Oscar and on and on.The anticipated fight with Floyd never happened and never will because PEDman will never take random tests, something that 3 other fighters did without problems. An old lightweight Marquez beat PEDman last time around and was robbed and a light-welter like Bradley was never in trouble,knock-down or in any danger against PEDman, and if PEDman’s team felt they were robbed against Tim,why not a rematch??Posted August 23, 2012 2:12 pm
The reason why there’s no Bradley rematch is because PEDman’s team knows Tim is a tough nut to crack,he won’t fold like a used-up tent and will make that blood test dodger look bad, something that they’re trying to avoid, thus enter the “catchweight” alternative with Cotto.Forget a 4th fight with Marquez, they know this time Marquez might K.O blood test dodger!!Posted August 23, 2012 1:51 pm
AmenPosted August 23, 2012 11:16 am
This is a joke people trying to discredit Pacs great win over a strong, prime, healthy Cotto. If Cotto was so drained for Pac y would he weight in at 146 for his previous fight against Clottey a big w.w. The first thing me and my boys noticed with Cotto in the fight with Pac was how at the beginning there was no speed difference between him a Pac. He was sharp and looked great until Pac hit him with the punch that Cotto has always been most vulnerable to the punch that Floyd buckled him with Margo hurt him with and Judah rocked him with the left uppercut. Cotto didnt see it coming so it rocked him worse than those other fighters because the great Pacman is by far the most gifted puncher out of all of them. Cotto didnt move up to 154 because he couldnt make 147 no more he moved up because the was nothing left for him there Pac and Floyd ruled. The guy is only 5′ 7″ & cant really compete at jmw Martinez would smoke him Lara would beat him possibly Alvarez and Molina too what does that tell u huh. Kudos to Floyd for letting him eat all the rice and beans he wanted to but this is the gimmick that is Floyd Cotto isnt a true jmw even though i give Floyd props for finally fighting a real champ thats his size. Sorry if im giving to much intricate details but if i dont teach u guys this stuff who will.Posted August 23, 2012 10:55 am
With all the information available to the so called ‘boxing fans’ on ESB, there are still a lot of idiots babbling.
I don’t know why you even bother debating with Chitago girl, this guy doesn’t deserve our attention. Putang now that guy sounded deranged when I first read his posts here on ESB who knew this guy knew better than all of us including the so called journalist or boxing scribes in the whole world. Cotto should not take any catchweights at all, he has options like crazy Cotto has more options that Mayweather & Pacquaio combined. He can fight Kirkland, Angulo, Alvarez, K9, Lara etc etc. He doesn’t need Pacquaio at all. Plus should he fight Pac he will be bound to another slave contract for years meaning he can’t fight GBP fighters which is where the moola/belts are at 154lbs. Cotto if you do it then you are a dumb ass, for real.Posted August 23, 2012 5:22 am
Stone do you not understand that Cotto was WEIGHT DRAINED against Pac. Yet he was at his PREFERRED WEIGHT when facing Mayweather.. so…! Get your facts right.Posted August 23, 2012 4:24 am

what more evidence of Pacquiao’s* fraudulent stature do people need besides him stubbornly seeking smaller(?!?) paydays v. previously defeated opponents rather than confirm a PPV matchup v. one of his two primary P4P rivals? if they were dissapointed with the underwhelming numbers for Pacquiao* v. Bradley they’re gonna have even worse trouble selling a catchweight compromised rematch for a TBD title. it’s a pathetic disgrace.Posted August 22, 2012 8:19 pm
Yes, thats right. Maybe Cotto will be dumb enough to drop a few more pounds, to make it even easier for Pac :!: .Posted August 22, 2012 8:16 pm
i would not mind seeing Manny vs. Miguel #2 in msg for selfish reasons. Mainly that i could attend the fight myself. if Floyd wants a piece of Paquiao he had better fight him soon before Floyd’s legs are totally shot.Posted August 22, 2012 8:13 pm

I hope Marquez gets a chance to put right the robbery from last year but as Arum is the fat controller it would probably be a fix anyway. Also on a lighter note I have a feeling that pushing the date out to Dec 1st thankfully puts the final nail in the coffin of the Khan-Roach team – it’s about time.Posted August 22, 2012 6:12 pm
da ugly truth
Cotto vs pacman would be a garbage fight unless its at the full 154 weight limit… No way in hell Cotto gives up 4 lbs.. he only gave up 2lbs in there previous fight and he got his ass whooped…I’m sure Cotto is smart enough to know team pac man wants to weight drain his ass, so he could have the edge and look like a beast again… This is why he Wont fight Bradley or Marquez, he can’t weight drain them to get the edge…Posted August 22, 2012 6:10 pm
Sure, let him fight Cotto again but this time without the catchweight. Let him fight Cotto at the same weight Mayweather fought him and see what happens!Posted August 22, 2012 5:38 pm
I am sure PAC will fight Cotto in New York on December 01.Posted August 22, 2012 5:38 pm
Of the three opponents Cotto, Marquez and Bradley, that Manny Pacquiao has beaten all of them before, I would want to see Pacquiao fight Cotto again. Why? Because Pacquiao already beat Marquez TWICE and he beat Bradley with ease. Nothing against Cotto, but I am sure Pacquiao will knock Cotto down and out again. Pacquiao already beat Cotto in a much more devastating than Mayweather did by knocking Cotto out while Cotto gave Mayweather his second worst beating ever (the first worse beating was by Castillo and Castillo clearly won over Mayweather on that fight). This time, Pacquiao will show the world the reasons why Mayweather is SCARED of Pacquiao by beating Cotto for the second time way better than Mayweather did. Mayweather fought for his life against Cotto for 12 rounds, but Pacquiao will make sure it won’t go 12 rounds. I think we, fight fans, won’t see Pacquiao-Mayweather after Pacquiao brutally beats Cotto because Mayweather won’t want to be the next big victim of the PACMAN.Posted August 22, 2012 5:35 pm
Pac vs Floyd on Dec. 1 would give plenty of time for both to do a media tour and run a hard 8 week camp. It’s this fight or I don’t give a damn. Enough waiting, enough ducking, enough testing protocol and purse arguments — fight or GTFO.Posted August 22, 2012 5:21 pm
The PACMAN rules boxing. Whoever fights the PACMAN becomes the RUNMAN. Hahaha…Is Floyd the next RUNMAN? Whenever he grows more confidence, but not now. Hahaha…Posted August 22, 2012 5:21 pm

The Congressman wanted to see the inmate? One of a kind!!!Posted August 22, 2012 5:16 pm
@forreal, Manny Pacquiao is “The Little Fellow with the HANDS OF STONE.” He has been weighing only 145 lbs for the past several years, but he was willing to put up more pounds to beat BIG GUYS like Osca De La Hoya, Margaritto, Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, etc. Anyone who weighs the same as Pacquiao, he will fight. I dont see how its not Cotto. It wont be Floyd till early 2013 & it make no sense to try to steal Cottos thunder both ppv events will suffer. With Cottos stock being raised after the Floyd fight just like i predicted and Pac v Bradley just falling short of the mil. ppv buy mark all circumstantial evidence leads me to believe it will be Cotto.Posted August 22, 2012 3:57 pm
Mi gente, can’t you read between the lines?
It’s Miguel Cotto vs. Pacquiao II. Don’t you remember that Cotto had Madison Sq Garden already booked for December 1st?
Why would Pacquiao suddently change the date if Bradley and Marquez were willing to tango on November?
Of all 3 alternatives Miguel is the best option to get a big event since his stock has not gone down after losing with Mayweather. In the other hand Marquez took himself out of the equation by asking too much money. Bradley is the least desirable alternative cuz he was given a hand out win when he clearly lost. No one wants to see Pac/Brad II when he was unable to affect in any way or measure Pacquiao.
On the other hand, Cotto @ 150 and with a good trainer would be another story completely from the first fight. He busted Pacman’s ear drums and did gave him a fight. Not like Mosley or Clottey that were there to cash a check.Posted August 22, 2012 3:50 pm

I have no interest in those 3. Ali couldn’t do a convincing job with Norton and the same probably holds true for Pacquiao and Marquez. Bradley & Cotto were convincingly beaten. Give fans a new challenge. If Floyd will take 60-40, go for it! Or find some new upstart.Posted August 22, 2012 2:59 pm
Chicago-gurl all always has intelligent posts… :shock:Posted August 22, 2012 2:53 pm
They simply don’t want it yet. A fight against Mayweather equals a guaranteed legitimate and official loss for Pacquiao. It doesn’t matter if Pacquiao believes that or not. Bob Arum does so he is planning Pacquiao’s next fight from a strategic point of view. He needs to generate as much money from his cash cow as possible before he is reduced by a very real loss to Mayweather. If Bob Arum had the choice, he would delay it another 2-3 years. Bob Arum hates when other people make money over him. He hates everything about a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. He wants all the money himself and he wants his fighter to stay as viable as possible.Posted August 22, 2012 1:55 pm
Cotto has a date for December 1st on the Garden… Hmmm.Posted August 22, 2012 1:54 pm
It’s interesting that Juan Manuel Marquez said he would not fight Pacquiao in Las Vegas again. And here we are with a new venue for Pacquiao’s next fight.Posted August 22, 2012 1:47 pm
There is no reason/excuse not to make the Mayweather fight now, Dec gives them enough time to prepare and promote !!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted August 22, 2012 1:27 pm

I’d rather see Bradley so Pac can avenge that… but if he fights Mayweather and takes that beating… at least we would finally get that monkey (this long awaited matchup) off our backs… Cotto doesn’t need to do a catchweight… and JMM doesn’t need to do a rematch.. both will get screwed againPosted August 22, 2012 1:09 pm
Pacman has nothing to gain by fighting Cotto, I’ve seen the Marquez fight 3 times already, and he dominated Bradley. I really don’t have much interest in any of these.Posted August 22, 2012 12:53 pm
I was going to the Cotto fight anyway Please let it be the Pacman.Posted August 22, 2012 12:49 pm
