CANT WAITThat will be an excellent fight. Lebedev is good but let’s not overhype him past Chambers. In Denis fight with James Toney, Lebedev went 12 rounds with James, who blew his knee out in the 2nd round, and Denis was unable to finish him. I know James has a great chin and good defense but, we are talking about an older, badly injured James Toney. denis should have been able to overwhelm him with punches to force a TKO but he couldn’t. What is he going to do with a younger, faster, Eddie Chambers, who gets hit less than James Toney? If this fight goes through, we should be seeing a new wba cruiserweight champion. Posted December 24, 2012 4:07 pmDanGreat potential fight! Lets hope it happens. Posted December 22, 2012 9:57 amone eyeQuality fight….2 differnt styles, magic fight! Posted December 21, 2012 7:17 pmhookoffthejabdennis has shown marked improvement in his last outing hs was relaxed and his timing distance footwork all seemed to have improved steady eddie will need his best to “befuddle” him … Posted December 21, 2012 6:44 pmFight AficionadoI disagree with calling Lebedev crude. He knows how to cut of the ring, block and counter and has decent combinations. It’s true that Chambers is the slicker of the two though. Posted December 21, 2012 5:23 pmBallou ArmashCrude slugger vs slick boxer match-up. Chambers should win an easy decision. Posted December 21, 2012 4:29 pmSantaThe facts are clear Eddie is fast but the Russian is tough, talented and not going to be denied. Look for Fast Eddie to incur what he does not like, a loss. Posted December 21, 2012 2:33 pmAnonymousChambers is a tough, solid heavywieght. As a cruiserwieght he will only gain speed, so I like his chances. Lebedev is a paper champ and I look for Chambers to outbox the pants off this Russian fraud. Wins over Old man Roy Jones and James pigs out Toney mean nothing. Chambers will win this fight end of story. Posted December 21, 2012 1:10 pmchristovChambers,if he’s lost the weight sensibly, should win this comfortably. While lebedev has improved a lot under the tutelage of Tzu,he’s still a little raw,but he does posess raw power.Chambers should be too slick, too fast, too clever. But this is by no means a mismatch,Lebedev is a very good cruiser. Posted December 21, 2012 5:14 amAnonymousEddie wont cant handle the speed of Lebidev, easy victory. Posted December 21, 2012 4:58 amAnonymousTark…Good points. And yes this could be one of the great fights in the near future. Posted December 21, 2012 2:28 amfrankeddie always seemed like a good boxer and a classy guy I hope the cruiser weight catches on because of the size of the heavyweights nowa days .todays cruiser weights were about the same size as past heavy weights marciano walcott charles jimmy ellis good fighters but I dont belive the 190 lb heavyweights can compete with the top 6ft8 248 lb heavyweights of today . Posted December 21, 2012 2:21 amGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB Poster of the year 2011-2012-2013-2014-2015-2016Chambers isn’t going to have any problems making the weight at all. The CW limit is 200 lbs and he weighed 202 lbs for his last fight against Adamek, 208 lbs the fight before that, and 209 lbs and 208 lbs again for his two fights prior to that one. Posted December 20, 2012 9:33 pmAnonymousbut lebedev is no joke he tough and strong and can punch the way chambers covers up if lebedev can land that uppercut chambers can be in trouble but chambers speed and slickness and footwork and jab can be troublesome for denis it be a interesting fight boxer vs puncher fight if chambers dnt look drained then i pick him to win it by decsion Posted December 20, 2012 9:03 pmAnonymousif chambers fight out there he might get robbed if he fight in lebedev hometown if chambers do move down hope he dnt be drained if he dnt be he should be even more faster and hit a lil harder and more stamina he bulid like a crusieweight chambers should of been move down lebedev fought at that weight much longer so he more use to it then chambers is i know chambers can win the fight it just the weight if he move down how he going to perform Posted December 20, 2012 8:55 pmTARKWhere is Chambers at as a boxer??? God knows. Eddie had a lot of problems, injuries, and surgeries that limit his game. He suffered a savage KO loss as well. Eddie is a quick, slick, skilled boxer and jabber much like the light hitting Jimmy Young of the 1970’s—but Eddie has a stronger body attack and a niftier step-in left hook than Young. Eddie used the hook to floor the undefeated 6’8”X257 Alexander Dimitrenko, who is depicted in the photo accompanying this story. Young out-boxed the huge and powerful George Foreman—and seemed on his way to a world title—but Young lacked the discipline and dedication for the long haul. Chambers seems more grounded, intelligent, disciplined, and persevering. He seemed to be a world championship caliber boxer in his Peter and Dimitrenko fights. Lebedev’s bold challenge could possibly allow Eddie to fulfill his world title dreams at cruiserweight … Good luck Fast Eddie. Posted December 20, 2012 8:12 pmhookoffthejabless around the waist …. Posted December 20, 2012 3:49 pmGonzo the Dragonborn – ESB Poster of the year 2011-2012-2013-2014-2015-2016Lithuanian cruiserweight Remigijus Ziausys (21-51-3), who’s roughly the same weight and size as Chambers, has fought plenty of big heavyweights (including the likes of Robert Helenius, Dereck Chisora, Bodgan Dinu, Mariusz Wach, Dillian Whytte) but the only time he’s ever been stopped or, as far as I’m aware, even been off his feet, was by fellow cruiserweight Alexander Frenkel, who admittedly does hit harder than a winter on welfare, knocked him out in a couple of rounds. Zack Page is another cruiserweight who’s fought and lasted the distance against a lot of big punching heavyweights and was stopped by a cruiser recently too (Rakhim Chakhkiev). Lebedebedev is very underrated by many and this fight certainly isn’t a forgone conclusion at all. Lebedebedev is very skilled, an excellent counter puncher, is as tough as old boots, and he hits like a truck with that left hand of his. That uppercut he finished off the Columbian kid with the other day was a beauty. Posted December 20, 2012 3:27 pmLeninLebedev by (T)KO.
