Y think the best example succes story is evandr holyfield… he moved up from cruizer weight to heavyweight and became a legend had a very good iron chin and was very tough … a for cruizerweight to win a heavyweight titlethese days he must have a good chin ….

Jason Garvern,journeyman….intellegent guy,I read Q and A interview with him and i was impressed.He should be given chance to do some tv work .He lost on pts to S Cunningham in his last fight,thats pretty good for journeyman.

Ernie – true words.

KMSTAR – disagree, HW div. is as strong as ever. Competition is truly global. If HW was so weak why do all of these moving up CWs (and small HWs) fail. The biggest “success” has been Haye with his controversial win vs Valuev.
He clearly lost to the main HW champ using a try to survive style.

However Haye would have beaten many top HWs from past eras.

Who can blame a kid for trying to make a buck? So many fighters come from third world countries and even the poorest parts of ours. Some fans don’t understand this and think all fighters must have a legacy and make a statement. It’s so tough to be a top fighter, get a break then battle the corrupt promoters, then have to continue on after their prime to feed their family. It’s a hard life and as we know, very few make it.

When more cruisers get their butts kicked in the heavies, two things might happen; they wisely go back to cruiser or the door opens up for a “heavyweight division and a super heavyweight division” . . . Please no, cruisers go back to cruiser weight. Not another division . . .

Lateef Kayode (18-0, 14 KOs) is mabey a promising heavyweight material ti view but he has to probe himself in the ring against some decent opponents before we know. Mabey he will be up for a world title shot against the champ Wladimir Klitschko before the champ retires. I would not bet any money on it but mabey as an last minuite replacment if Alexander Povetkin, Tyson Fury, David Price etc would chicken themself out of a potentail future fight.

Mormeck answered the call when #1-#12 were hiding. Both Vitali and Wladimir have a good list of willing HWs who are winning right now. Pulev, Fury, Solis, Potvetkin, Banks and Arreola for Wladimir and Haye, Stiverne, Fury, Banks, Arreola, Chagaev, and Charr for Vitali.
Not saying Koyode wouldnt make a good opponent, but he’s got to do some winning first. He’ll start with Maddalone or Firtha, then move into the Blevel vs an Oquendo type. If he passes those tests and continues to win, he might be ready before Wladimir retires, but there’s no chance he’ll get to Vitali. Not even on the radar.
