Groves needs to concentrate On defending his British & Commonwealth titles & build upon his fan base in the USA before thinking about alphabet titles. He’s only 2 defence’s away from winning the Lonsdale belt out-right now & that should be a priority at this stage in his career. He’s 4-5 fights away from a World title shot. Remember he’s still only 24. Maybe a Commonwealth title defence against Adonis Stevenson might work next year.

Slightly off subject: But how about matching James DeGale vs Lucian Bute with DeGale’s EBU title on the line. Nuetral ground IE Germany should be acceptable, may on a Klitschko undercard I believe it would be more competitive then most would think. I’d also like to see Thomas Osthuizen fight the winner of Stieglitz/Abraham or magee/Dirrell before the years out.

I’d like to see Thomas Oosthuizen take on the winner of Stieglitz/Abraham.

I think the WBO is a laughing stock. Steiglitz has fought nobodies and only really fights in Germany for me he shouldn’t even be called a champion. Abraham has the far superior record and is a big puncher but he has a short reach and has lost much of his speed. As for the “saint” he is not world class. His weak point is that he always gets nailed by the right cross and regardless of his mouth he has no intention of fighting the top guys at sm, such as Froch because he would get put down. Although I am not a fan of Degale I think Groves has gained a lot by the controversial win over him. As De gale has went on to fight the better competition this has furthered Groves ranking. with the amount of time off this guy has had I think he has an elevated ranking. Abraham by KO I think inside 8. Also neither fighter are German so whats with all the civil war talk. Armenian and a Russian Stiglitz even changed his name.

Abraham has seen better days and looks like he isnt as effective at 168 …. so I am tempted to go with Steglitz eventhough I have never seen him fight upto now.

Groves should concentrate on his own skills,he was getting nailed way to easy by fringe contender Sierra, if Abe landed on him like that it would be night night time for Georgy boy.

At least Stieglitz is getting in the ring with Abraham, it’s more than the third crap German will ever do……

The Abraham against Froch is the real Abraham, who’s he’s always been. He’s had an entire career of fighting opponents who stand back and let him do what he wants. Two crap ‘Germans’, but Stieglitz will win this quite easily…..

Looks like abraham has lost his mental mojo lately, its now or newer again for abe.
If he wins impressive, he has the chance to climb back to the top with boostin selfconfidence.
My money is on abe by ko around round 10, if not, stieglitz by points and abe can just hang up.

My money is on Steiglitz to out-box Abe over the 12 and retain title, good fight though Abe needs to win which will make it exiting.

Abraham has already sunk, this means nothing for the division other than sorting out who is the better fighter out of the pair. Steglitz probably has more to loose.

It’s sink or swim time for Abraham. Actually getting a bit excited to see this one, style match-up might be a problem for one of these fighters.
