Posted January 11, 2013 3:56 pmhecdogForreal, you know my post makes too much sense. Be ready because Manny’s coming back with a vengeance and JMM better not be anywhere around. Posted January 11, 2013 3:49 pmforreal…hecdog, you better get used to the photo enclosed dog,it could very well be PEDman’s favorite spot from now on!! Posted January 11, 2013 2:24 pmAaronCanelo or Cotto will not fight on a Mayweather undercard. They’re worth too much in their own right. Posted January 11, 2013 5:10 amhecdogPEEJ, you have to at least consider Pacquiao as the best ever because of the weight classes he has won titles in, which no one has ever accomplished in the history of boxing. And as far as the Margarito title, they both weighed in at a catch weight, but Margarito came into the ring weighing over 165, while Manny was still under the 150′s. Margarito was the champion, and he came in well over the 154 pound weight class, so I consider it a legit title. Manny ducked no one during his reign, and fought all the top guys including some of the ATG, and he beat them all. Most people don’t realize just how small of a body frame Manny has. He’s well defined physically, and cut because he has never had much body fat, so it’s a sort of illusion when you look at him. You see all those muscles, but watch all his weigh ins, he’s much smaller than all his opponents. People don’t realize the reason for the catch weight. The reason is because Manny struggles add weight to his physique, not because he wants an advantage to weaken his opponents. Manny has carried boxing on his own for the last 45 years. He may be slowing down a bit, only time will tell, but he has been special. Posted January 10, 2013 6:14 pmAnonymousRob Ber SREDMONDAnyone saying that Pacquiao is “not GREAT” does NOT know boxing there is simply not an argument in the world that flys… The ONLY legit 7 or 8 division Champion, ONLY 4 time lineal Champion…He has stopped, defeated countless HOF boxers… The schedule he fought at 126 and 130 alone solidifed his Greatness beating Barrera, Morales, wins over Marquez…. Tommy Hearns got stopped by Iran Barkley who is NO JMM equivalent… Dudes need to get real and wakeup, what Pac Man did was historic, tantalizing and real all things come to an end but this fighter is a BEAST historically. Posted January 10, 2013 11:45 amSREDMONDPacquiao is a WARRIOR and his reaction to getting beat by Marquez shows me serious mental strength unlike boxers who talk retirement etc after a loss he committed to going on with his career, I respect that… I remember guys like Froch who is tough saying if he lost again he would retire and he was NOT even knocked out by Ward…If you think Pac does NOT have more terrific fights in him you are NUTS for years he was only competing with the ghosts of his OWN scintillating performances… KO’s and epic beatdowns were the expectation because HE raised the bar… This is going to be an interesting period in the Pac Man legacy, it is possible he might elevate himself OR become another sad tale in boxing… Time will tell Posted January 10, 2013 11:38 amIt’s Me, ErnieStill Butt Hurt wrote: “How can Pac be considered a great when he got KTFO by two bums and an OLD man”? Posted January 10, 2013 4:18 amRob BerA boxer become GREAT when they are not afraid to lose. Boxer will not become GREAT if they will continue to duck and afraid to lose their “0″ scripted record and the Boxer will not become GREAT if he is dependent on some thing. PAC IS ALREADY GREAT PRIOR TO HIS LOST. Posted January 10, 2013 4:16 amRob BerPAC has had a career of fights that were taylor made for him, Yah, you are right man – Keep On Dreaming! Posted January 10, 2013 4:11 amHappyboyHecdog – Pacman makes better comparison to Lance Armstrong than Marquez, if anything Marquez simply proved that with the right S&C coach what Lance and Pac achieved is not extraordinary. Posted January 10, 2013 12:33 amPEEJI like that fight Tark, it would give my man Paulie a nice payday, a loss but still a nice pay day Posted January 10, 2013 12:08 amTARKThe ideal opponent for Pac for an April 20 fight would be Paulie Malignaggi… He has a World Championship at Welterweight and he’s a super light hitter—which will allow Pacquiao’s brain to continue to heal.. That way Pacquiao vs Marquez V can be a World championship Fight. Posted January 9, 2013 11:37 pmStill Butt HurtHow can Pac be considered a great when he got KTFO by two bums and an OLD man? Posted January 9, 2013 8:43 pmfockerTop Rank card will do better because the fights are intriguing. Come May 4th people will be broke and won’t buy PPV because first fight is only three weeks apart. Make That happen Bob Arum, give GBP and Floyd the hell!! Posted January 9, 2013 8:05 pmPEEJFloyds card will do better just like any other card he has had. He sells more. He also normally has the better undercard. Though the Rios fight is gonna be anther really good fight. Posted January 9, 2013 7:38 pmPEEJHecdog come on now, the best boxer in the history of boxing. I know wew have our differences but that statment is just way off base. Pac has had a career of fights that where taylor made for him. There is a reason why he never fought any real boxers in his career. Take a look at what Morlaes did the first fight, he made that look easy until he went toe to toe. Pacs career has been a career carfully planned. Now I wont argue with you about Floyd cherry picking but so has Pac. And lets not forget that at least one of his belts he should not even had been awarded when he fought Margacheato. Posted January 9, 2013 7:36 pmmarkI AM JUST THANKFUL THAT TWO MEN GIVE BOXING FAN’S A GREAT FIGHT. ALSO GIVE BACK TO BOXING BY NOT LETTING US FAN’S WAIT YEARS LIKE OTHER BOXERS THAT ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND NOT WHAT THE FAN’S WANT TO SEE . Posted January 9, 2013 6:33 pmhecdogManny Pacquiao is a blessed man and will come back to shock all those that believe he is finished. He is arguably the greatest fighter in the history of boxing. He has accomplished more than any fighter in history (8 different eight class titles). His loss at the hands of JMM & Angel Hereida will always be questionable because of their association. Remember, Lance Armstrong said the same things, and now he’s going to confess. JMM will in time take the same route. Now, back to Manny. Manny’s reign of terror is unequaled. He fought the best of the best, and wanted Floyd, but Floyd wanted no part of him. Simply put, Manny Pacquiao has more than enough skills and abilities to fight 2,3,4 times this year and win impressively. He is the peoples choice. The boxing Ambassador that represents boxers to the entire world. He is all class inside and outside the ring. This is a man of God that can do anything he wants to do. Putting limits on this man is dangerous. Manny will continue to provide excitement to boxing fans all over the world. Just wait and see. Posted January 9, 2013 6:01 pmadamRegarding their first fight, “One of the judges (who scored the bout 113–113) later admitted to making an error on the scorecards, having scored the first round as 10–7 in favor of Pacquiao instead of the standard 10–6 for a three-knockdown round. If he had scored the round 10–6 for Pacquiao (as the other two judges did), the result would have been a split decision in favor of Pacquiao.[32]“. In their third fight, punch stats favoured Pacquiao, 176-138 for landed strikes and 117-100 for power shots. Posted January 9, 2013 5:58 pmDon QuixoteBob Arum knows what he’s doing, he’s a business man who knows that Rios is, first off, a tremendous fighter who draws crowds and will give Pacquiao a great fight. Additionally, who else could draw big crowds besides Marquez and Rios?. Canelo could but he’s in a different weight class form Pacquiao’s. The rest of the other fighters just want to pretend they are fighting by grabbing their opponents excessively Ala Hopkins, Berto, Judah, to name a few. Bradley’s style is not a crowd-pleasing one as he’s head-butting constantly. Bradley could fight Carson Jones in Detroit but not on TV. Posted January 9, 2013 5:51 pmthe publicPac should drop to 140. He’s got some good fights waiting for him there Posted January 9, 2013 5:44 pmDon QuixoteMost people, including boxing pundits know that Marquez beat Pacquiao the three previous fights. What is hard to understand? Posted January 9, 2013 5:39 pmsrminimoBrandon Ríos is the best possible fight for Pacquaio. Ríos will come forward and open himself up for hard shots, plus he’s not exactly a speed demon, so Manny should be able to move in and out like he did with DLH, Margarito, Hatton, and all the others that tried to impose their size against Pac. Plus I think Manny will need the confidence of knowing he can still take a shot and get people out of there. Posted January 9, 2013 5:21 pmAl SwearengenI doubt Pac fights twice this year, he’ll fight once in the fall. Posted January 9, 2013 4:41 pmadamSorry, but I don’t understand how you can definitively state that Marquez is the better fighter. Of 4 fights, only one was conclusive and the one that was ended just when Manny was turning on the jets and looked as though he may KO Marquez or at least cruise to an easy victory. I think at best you can say that the two, though both having differing styles, are evenly matched. Posted January 9, 2013 4:41 pmThe KingslayerI doubt he fights twice, it will be once in the fall. Posted January 9, 2013 4:40 pmAnonymousJake Lead Rights….Brandon Rios is a puncher no doubt but he is in no way as technical as JMM. Brandon is a brawler People forget that Pac was winning this fight and he was on his way to putting it away. He got careless and came in too strong. He needed to soften up JMM just a couple of more rounds. before JMM’s own corner would’ve stopped it. So for anyone to think that Rios would be the favorite is just plain crazy Posted January 9, 2013 4:36 pmslickManny should go and KO Bradley. If he can´t do it, then retire. What manny shouldn´t do is face Marquez anymore or he will lose again. The thing is Marquez has studied Mannys style and Roach is a crappy coach. Marquez is simply the better between these two and Manny should accept it. Instead Manny should fight Mathysse, Rios or Alvarez for example. Many teams might want a piece of Manny now when he looks weak. Posted January 9, 2013 4:14 pmEdgar GuevaraWhat is going for Pacquiao is! Cam he comeback? Posted January 9, 2013 3:22 pmEdgar GuevaraYou lose you win in life. Pacquiao is not the first to lose a main fight or the last one. Boxing is,the sport of upset like any other sport.
