NellyLooking forward to this fight. Other posters on here are being pretty disrespectful to Burns, who has beaten everyone put in front of him over the past few years (including world champs and former-world champs). This Broner scumbag seems like a great talent, no denying it. How about you lot stop riding his banger and just enjoy the fights? Fact is, they need ti get in the ring to decide who’s best – not by listening by empty predictions from the knuckle draggers on here. Posted January 10, 2013 4:31 pmmayweather86Ahh the wonders of youtube lol Posted January 10, 2013 11:26 amMbuyiseliThis could all be a GBP/HBO/Al Haymon ploy to give Broner more exposure. Think about it he fights Rees next month on HBO. Then he goes on the biggest PPV event in the first half of 2013 in May. I’m holding my breath that it could be Burns come May the 4th. Later this year he could unify again three belts by the end of 2013. Then move up to face real challenges at 140lbs. Traveller you know squat about boxing. Broner will embarrass Ricky Burns everyone knows it except you moron. The only guy who poses a threat to Adrien is Lucas at 140lbs. Adrein Broner is only 23 so you better get used to the fact that he is here to stay, like it or not. Posted January 10, 2013 3:15 ammayweather86@traveller. Ricky burns reminds me of another Ricky I knew from Europe..what was his name again……..oh yea hatton!. I remember all the bs u tards would tell me about how he was gonna whoop floyd and pac. Let me see of i can recall how that turned out..wait wait….its coming to me, tko- ko career over. But u are right about one thing he can hide warren his whole career. Lets talk bout David price and tyson fury…real euro talent…burns is a bum and time will reveal it when and if he grows a pair. Posted January 10, 2013 12:54 amwhiteboydayIf he ever does want to be considered an ATG by everyone else, not just nut jobs like traveller, hes gonna have to cross the pond and take some fights over here. I know the judges here are clowns and have no business doin what they are doin but that is just reality. I dont think Broner was ever really duckin Burns, I know he doesnt want to go there either so I guess it wont happen. But Broner would stomp Burns no question and he knows it. Posted January 9, 2013 11:08 pmnicolasHow can you say that it is a fact that Broner has ducked Ricky Twice? The first time it was supposed to have been made was when Ricky was supposed to fight Broner for Ricky’s WBO Jr. Lightweight title and Ricky went up to Light weight. Now Broner was the number one contender to Burn’s WBO title, but how did Broner duck him by fighting Demarco instead? Was Burn’s calling him out? The term all time great is a little ingenuous. Perhaps Burns should be considered an all time great in Britain. I think fellow Scotsman, and man who really were the number one light weights in the world in their time, Ken Buchanan and Jim Watt. I guess for me, if Burns wants to prove that he is the number one light weight in the world, he should fight either Broner or Velazquez, even Richard Abril, but say the fight is to take place in Scotland, or in Britain at least. I agree with you that I would not blame him if he does not want to go to the US to fight any of them there. Posted January 9, 2013 7:45 pmTraveller@yankboyPOS – He doesn’t need to sully his gloves on some hype-job yanks in their own (rigged) backyard to make his legacy. He’s doing excellent now and well on his way to future ATG status. Posted January 9, 2013 6:55 pmTraveller@yankboyPOS – Ricky is fighting world-class opponents, unlike hype-job Boner in rigged yankeeville. Boner has ducked Ricky at least twice, FACT. There’s not a yank in the entire division or the next that could give Ricky even the slightest challenge on even ground. Ricky is smart for staying well clear of yankeeville with its doped-up bums and bribed judges. Posted January 9, 2013 6:51 pmScottyThis fight was cancelled because his promoter couldn’t make him a fight or arrange a proper undercard! Burns’ promoter is SH!t. He aint ducking Broner, at least he came out and said he couldn’t make their last weight, Broner just went ahead with a fight at a weight which he knew he couldn’t make and came in 6Lbs heavy! If he really wanted the fight why not step up at the same time as Ricky and offer him out? This fight will happen, it’s just a matter of when! Plenty of top guys he could beat at light welterweight. Posted January 9, 2013 6:15 pmwhiteboydayATG great status? seriously? He seems like a va j j to me for not takin a Broner fight. Has anyone seen him asked about why he doesnt want to fight him? I would love to see him justify running from the only big fight he can get. Hey Traveller, how can you get to ATG status if you don’t challenge yourself with difficult fights? I understand bein a bit biased with fellow countrymen but thats takin it too far Posted January 9, 2013 6:15 pmuRaMoronIn fact, Please Michael..please make that argument, give me your argument that says Ricky Burns would struggle to beat Jason Litzau..PLEASE entertain me Posted January 9, 2013 5:35 pmThe KingslayerI can’t believe people still defend Ricky after he blatantly just ducked Broner, he was offered a career high payday to face Broner on HBO and turned it down. What more does Ricky need to do to convince you that he wants no part of Broner ? He already avoided him at Super Featherweight with a weak weight excuse. Posted January 9, 2013 5:34 pmAl SwearengenATG status ……….. come on man I like Ricky but he’s no Duran. Posted January 9, 2013 5:06 pmAnonymousI like Burns as there’s not many nice guys in the game these days but the reason he ain’t going to fight on 26th jan is he don’t have a opponent – he’s a world champ so he can’t expect to defend against bums at short notice which it seems warrren will have him do.
