It’s Me, Ernie

Canelo is too big, strong, fast and young for the aging Mayflower…

IF Canelo gets a Floyd fight.. HAHAHA good luck with that.. I have to see the fight signed to believe it.. Canelo has to do more than “look decent.” … Cotto looked decent in bloodying Floyd’s face up, and cracking an aging and inactive Floyd with more shots than any other fighter has. Floyd called Cotto, “The toughest fighter I’ve ever faced.” Which was true. Cotto was world champ at 140 but Canelo is a full fledged 154-pounder. Mosley put harder RPGs on Floyd than he laid on Canelo. The Kid took less punishment. Now, Shane was an old man for BOTH Floyd and Canelo. NOPE…The Cinnamon Kid has to do MORE than the aging Mosley and Cotto did against Floyd.. Young Saul has to rip Floyd. He has to get into those ribs. He has to smash that left hook off Floyd’s chin with a will and desire. He has to knock Floyd down. Then he has to blast Floyd TFO … Anything less just won’t do. Do upsets happen in Boxing? YES THEY DO!!!

Rios is not just fun… He’s no miserable cheating horse’s ass like Margacheato… He’s no knockoff. He’s the genuine article. Check Cheato’s won/loss and KO records since the plaster caster been denied the use of plaster in his fights.

Alverado wil starch Rios this time, watch.

SREDMOND

Rios is FUN he is a Tony Margarito knockoff but he is ripe to be killed he takes ALOT of clean head shots and is too brave for his own good…He is about as tough as you can be but in a contest with Garcia I see, Dannys exposiveness possibly putting him down for the count.. I am suspect these days of self professed punching bag fighters its counter to human physiology to keep sustaining those blows

” Rios is wide open for every shot in the BOOK.” This is true. Thing is, Rios has the ability to walk through Garcia’s punches–just as Khan didn’t. But, Garcia will tear him up in the process. Brandon isn’t that bright. He has great natural skills, power, and toughness, but he ain’t that bright. Garcia is not only speedy, he has power and he’s an excellent technician. I think he’ll pick Brandon apart.

Rios is no N’dou or Ouma. relentless “robots” with sturdy chings but minimal skills, zero technique, and no “Pop” in their punches. Rios’ inside game is brutally effective and distinguished by thudding punching form and technique. also, what Moron believes that Alvarado doesn’t pack “Pop” in his punches? he KTFO of the otherwise durable Presscott in explosive fashion and his performance v. Rios was FOY caliber. Btw, neither Cotto or Margarito were ever the same following their brutal matchup. they both left a big piece of themselves in the ring that night. in fact, a prime Cotto never scored as many punches on any other opponent and Lost(?!?). some Haters and boxing-ignoramASSEs like to spout gas out of context and then present it as informed boxing opinion. they need to learn more about the sport or risk being embarrassed by Me . . .

What has Rios done to think he beats Broner? This was the same robot who couldn’t punch Abril who was in front of him for12 rounds. Now morons thinks he beats Garcia. Rios is another Margarito. They both have tons of heart but that does not win you fights. What happened when Margarito met someone with pop in Mosley. Rios is another Margarito in the making. Lucas would rip him a new one. Actually put him in with JMM and see how lethargic he is as a boxer. Why is Arum so keen to put Rios with Pacquaio? He is tailor made for Pac. Rios won’t last in this division we all know it. The Best you are a clown, Broner wanted to unify with Burns it never came to fruition. If you knew little about boxing you would know he has no competition currently. His test will only come at 140lbs.

i shouldN’T want to see a Rios v. Alvarado rematch. i see too many parallels with Vasquez v. Marquez, which neither fighter survived intact. never mind who “won” their Punishing rivalry. Rios v. Alvarado has the same potential to prematurely diminish each other before treating the likes of Garcia, Mathysse, Khan, and Peterson to the same degree of professional maturity. in fact, i’m not certain how much, if anything, was already lost in their last collission. besides, it’s not as if Garcia, Mathysse, Khan, Peterson, or even Broner can be considered tune-ups. they only represent others types of competitive challenges for Rios and Alvarado to figure out and conquer, or not.

I think Rios beats all of the fighters mentioned, because he is a true inside fighter. Mathysse, Garcia, Alvarado are all strong fighters, but they need room to punch, and are not true inside fighters like Rios. I think Judah gives him the best fight with movement early, but gets wore down, and stopped. The type of fighter that can beat Rios is a light hitting boxer that fights to win on points. (Abril or Malignaggi) even Though I think he still beats them both. Or a great technitian like Mayweather, or Marquez. (Pacquiao might get him with speed, and experience). I f you watch Mathysse and Garcia in other fights, they do not truley fight on the inside, I dont think they can keep Rios off of them. Although I would like to see both fights to see if I’m wrong.

The Mad Scientist

Poor haters, Brandon Rios is calling out the toughest lumberjacks to chop wood with in the scorching heat and all they can think of is Richard Abril..Lol!, anyways, I like a fight between Rios and Garcia..I say Bam takes Swift into deep water and drowns him..

Garcia will knock Rios out. Rios is wide open for every shot in the BOOK.

PEEJ

I would like to see Rios vs Garcia but I think Garcia would actually win that fight. If he can really punch as hard as it seems I think he may TKO Rios late. Now the realy question is can Garcia take the sort of punishment that Rios will dish out

E in Denver

The first fight was great. Yes, Alvarado got TKO’d but it was back & forth right up until the seconds before the stoppage. Alvarado’s relative inexperience showed. A more experienced (or less stubborn) fighter would have taken a knee & held on for dear life. I think Rios would have won but that isn’t a certainty given the shots that were thrown around. Some of these same so-called boxing fans complaining about this rematch didn’t want to see a 4th fight between Pac and Marquez either. Ideally we would see a box off between Garcia, Rios, Matthysse even Khan, Peterson & Alvarado. But this is still is a great match up.

IRON MIKE

What boxing fan would not want to see RIOS Alvarado 2??? The first fight was a pure war a pure joy to watch, Rios is calling the heavy hitters out and we got guys wanting him to fight a runner, come on where is you spirits at, as always TE TUMBO is 100% correct no one wants to see Abril again until he really earns it, Bring this fight on and garcia gets the winner, this is what boxing is all about-PEACE

i’d like to see Alvarado v. Garcia and Rios v. Mathysse. otherwise, i was dreading the effects of the first collission between Rios and Alvarado, which lived up to expectations. time for the other 140lbrs to experience the same fiery baptism these warriors put themselves through. WAR indeed.

Brandon Rios beat Mike Alvarado by KO. So know one wants to see Rios beat Alvarado again. Boxing Fans wants to see Rios vs Abril in a rematch that Rios got beat up by Abril and Rios win the fight, unbelievable. Rios needs to fight Abril or Vazquez next period. Don’t waste ur time with fighting Alvarado again is a waste if u ask me.

Good fights not being made because of politics, PED’s and bad scoring decisions – things that annoy me most about boxing.

The fight was tough while it lasted but Rios destroyed Alvarado. No need to see those two again so soon. But Sorby is right–this rivalry and contempt between Golden Boy and Top Rank has to end now. Otherwise the best never will fight the best.

Arum up 2 his usual tricks, more inhouse toprank v toprank Arum money earners on the way. Put Rios In with Pacman. C who Bobs cash cow is after that 1. Plenty of other guys out there. Rios, Mattysse, Bradley, pacman, Marquez, Garcia, Mayweather. I’d even like 2 watch Khan get pumpt by any of these guys….let’s get some fights going we haven’t seen. Yew go toprank

Tommy Brown

Rios will knock out Danny “chump” Garcia. While Rios is at it he might as well knock out that mouse looking Garcia Sr too.

Posted January 10, 2013 3:00 am

The Best!

Happyboy- Broner is a hype job, he looked good in his last fight because Demarco has zero defense and leaves his big head out to hit like a turtle witout a shell. I dont think Broners people would do that to Broner , maybe after Brandon looks washed up then they will consider it. Brandon should fight Garcia first then give Alvarado a rematch. Garcia has to fight a live young dog like Lucas or Brandon .
