if judah tries to KO garcia, he will be KO’d. if judah tries to hit and run, he will lose by UD. if judah tries to counter, he will get KO’d. if judah tries to use angles, he will get tired and not last (TKO). Bottom line: judah cannot win.

Khan has the fastest hands in the business but was unable to land a telling blow on Garcia… Amir was making less and less contact and Garcia was making more and more contact. DG’s corner was concerned but if you watched between rounds it was like Mayweather’s corner after the 2nd round of the Mosley fight. Danny was the least concerned guy in the corner—because he knew he was getting closer to the target and was timing Khan’s flurries better. It was the same thing with Morales. After studying the first fight Danny was more acquainted with Erik’s tendencies than Erik was with his. That wasn’t an exchange with Morales. Danny drew a lead jab, slipped it with lightning speed, and tore Morales’s head off.

Tark, are you REALLY going to overvalue Garcia’s blasting out a SHOT Erik Morales? It was a highlight reel KO but alas Erik has been pretty spent for YEARS… I am not sure Garcia more counterpuncher or he is simply dangerous to exchange with because we know he will take 2 or 3 to give one… His stoppage of Khan was more impressive, clearly he has a better chin than Khan and was willing to deal with Khans faster hands in order to get some hard leather on him….The world “counterpuncher” is not the first to mind when I think of Garcia and his approach

… “Judah´s legs have been no good ever since KT destroyed him.” …

Judah beat Cory Spinks up twice since then—and knocked him out too.. Cory Spinks at least easily went the distance with Jermain Taylor and got one W vote from the 3 judges in a close fight.. After Floyd beat De La Hoya I urged Floyd to challenge Jermain Taylor.. I think Floyd would have out-sped and outboxed Taylor with ease.. Although Taylor is the only middleweight champ he would have beaten since Hopkins won the title, that was an opportunity missed … and Taylor was undefeated.

Titopa, hell no!!!! beating khan is not a real test, khan has no CHIN!!!!!!!!! Zab is past his prime but he will give danny hell. theres already talks about danny vs lucas M. after that we will see where he stands. Hell Brandon Rios another huge threat, and yes Brandon said he wants to fight danny because hes not impressed.

it was tinkhans speed that befuddled judah his movement and speed i can see this fight being competitive unless garcia traps judah against the ropes early and then its allover …

Khan isn’t some sort of master boxer either but he still SPANKED Judah. Therefore being a master boxer isn’t needed to beat Judah. So that point is irrelevant…unless someone made the point that Garcia is a master boxer. The FACT is that Garcia’s Boxing IQ is HIGH. Judah’s is LOW. So its a Boxing IQ MISMATCH. Like Floyd vs. Ortiz and Pacquiao vs. Marquez IV. And it will be the same result. Higher Boxing IQ by stoppage.

Posted January 14, 2013 9:31 pm

TARK

…. “Garcia is NOT some sort of master boxer” …. For a kid with 25 fights he’s one Hell of a counterpuncher. In the Morales rematch Erik didn’t have a chance. Morales fared well with Marcos Maidana but Danny is more clever. Erik fell for it when Garcia suckered him into leading–POW … That quick left hook counter knocks people dead.

Hopefully Zab has one good fight left in him…

Garcia is NOT some sort of master boxer he is a strong, game, hard puncher with above average speed..His first fight with Erik Morales was actually competitive for good stretches of the bout before he wore the old man out… But Judah is a guy who is WAY to accustomed to losing and saying I did my best….Judah is not going out on his shield if he can get out of the bout first…

Dino from Youngstown, Ohio.

Zab has the better skills and ring generalship, however, all Garcia has to do is stay on his ass, take Zab deep, Zab will wilt. Watch.

I’ve got a sneaking feeling Judah will win this one too. Garcia is a decent fighter but was getting his ears boxed off before landing that punch against khan. I think Judah will out box Garcia too and he’all be prepared for Garcia’s game after seeing what he did against khan.

Boxing needs new blood such as Garcia, Thomas Oosthuizen, Canelo, Nathan Cleverley, Frankie Gavin, Austin Trout & George Groves ECT if it’s to flourish. Hopefully Zab’s gonna provide the entertainment via another classic dance routine like he did against Kosta Tszyu!

IfYouDontSeeItIDo

Judah isn’t going to run. He’s going to stand and fight because his Boxing IQ is low. The elder Garcia pissed him off so now he’s going for the KO. Danny is going to figure him out and knock him out. His Boxing IQ is very HIGH. Its so high that he made knocking Khan and Morales out LOOK easy.

Yep….that’s exactly what’s going to happen on February 9th! Garcia will lose to Zab Judah. Judah and Khan will have a rematch, which Judah will lose again, and Khan’ll get back his belts…..and end up fighting Mayweather in November of this year or April of next year…..by the way, Khan’ll beat Mayweather! Remember where you heard these pridictions first. Peace….Robbie T

…. “Zab is closing in on forty” …. No he’s not.. He’s a year younger than Floyd so he has a couple more years before he hits the age wall..

Marquez is closing in on 40.. Martinez is 38.. They could hit the wall any day physically, but their mental level is so high it gives them a couple more years than everybody else.

Posted January 14, 2013 2:41 pm

Garcia is a counterpuncher so he loves offensive fighters like Khan—and attackers like Morales… He doesn’t like guys who hold, run, won’t engage, and won’t trade. And that is Judah. But he will cut the ring off and eventually force Zab to fight.

It’s like Joe Louis told Billy Conn, “You can run boy… but you can’t hide.” But Conn had to run for 15… Zab only has to run for 12.

Prediction: Garcia, W7TD, 70-63, 69-64, 68-65, They bump heads and Judah says he cant see. Then continues to claim Garcia butted him on purpose and he should have won on points. Blah, blah, blah.

Judah has been given one of the LONGEST nods for talent and potential I have seen in recent memory.. At this point he is who he is and that is not going to change.. When he steps in with top fighters or guys who are streaking he LOSES…He is also a QUITTER saw that against Clottey and Khan… Zab is fighting off of his name and I will be at that bout because its around the corner… Garcia right or wrong believes he has a REAL future in boxing and when the going gets tough he will have more to draw on than Judah who will look to the refs and try and avoid contact… Betting on Judah against anything other than C or B— competition is a dubious endeavor.

Brick City – If beating Khan doesn’t count as a “test”, then what does that say about Judah, didn’t Khan whoop his butt? Um! Yeah. haha. Funny assessment

Posted January 14, 2013 1:20 pm

E in Denver

Judah is the more skilled of these two but the man can’t keep it together over a full 12. Judah is a front runner who wants to win every fight in the first 5-6 rounds. Garcia will be there all night waiting for Judah to fold, which he will do. Zab doesn’t have anything Garcia hasn’t seen & dealt with. Khan had speed. Holt had power. Morales is crafty. Zab has a combination of all of this but he is closing in on forty & refuses to fight for 12 full rounds. Garcia is the opposite of Judah. Garcia isn’t exceptionally gifted or skilled but the guy is very strong mentally, relentless & willing to outwork his opponent. Not to mention younger & stronger. I expect Judah to take some early rounds & when Judah can’t hurt Garcia he will start to fade fair quickly.

wont be an easy fight for garcia, speed kills and zab will land trust me. Garcia is an average champion and he remains untested, amir khan, erick morales dont count as test. his time is limited.

OCTAVIUS72…., Sorry, Cory Spinks received gift decisions and was a very weak champion in the mode of Jermain Taylor—who also never won a title without help from the judges. Cory couldn’t box or punch at a world level and that’s why Judah, who could just about do that, beat him twice … as far as out-boxing and out-punching him goes.

However when Judah meets guys with exceptional talent they invariably beat him. Judah has just average talent for a world champion, so he would need a judging assist to beat Garcia … e.g. Matthysse.

He will be a bit harder to catch than Kahn but Garcia will catch him.Zab doent have enough firepower to even slightly hurt Garcia, this is a shameful tune up !!

@Tark; how can you say Cory Spinks was a weak opponent??? That’s a ridiculous assessment of a man who was the UNDISPUTED 147 pound king when he fought Zab Judah. He didn’t win all three of those belts being WEAK. I’m not saying he was some KO artist because he WASN’T; but the man could BOX WELL AND HAD EXCELLENT TECHNICAL SKILLS THAT’S WHY HE WAS A CHAMPION!!!!!

Garcia is SO going to slam Judah. Really, I don’t see how Judah is worthy of this fight. Oh well, he won’t see it either from his back on the canvas.

I am the greatest prophet there is. My prediction for this win will be Zab Judah in the 9th round stoppage of Garcia. You heard it hear folks. Make your bets in Vegas cause people are going to be rich from my truthfully right prediction of Zab winning !

Judah will take away Garcia’s 16 and replace it with a 17.

Posted January 13, 2013 11:55 pm

IfYouDontSeeItIDo

I certainly CAN draw my conclusion from watching their fights vs. Khan. Garcia has shown that his Boxing IQ is FAR Superior to Judah’s. Both had a solvable riddle in front of them and while Judah couldnt solve it, Garcia solved it with FLYING colors. I forsee Garcia solving the easily solved riddle that is Judah TOO. Garcia by stoppage.

Posted January 13, 2013 11:43 pm

IfYouDontSeeItIDo

I certainly CAN draw my conclusion from watching the Khan Fights for both. I clearly can SEE that Garcia has the higher Boxing IQ. He showed that he is MUCH better at solving solvable riddles than Judah is. Judah had a solvable riddle in front of him (Khan) and he couldn’t even solve it while Garcia solved the Khan riddle with FLYING colors.

I see Judah winning….im sorry guys but im not convinced on Garcia…..Judah has the style to present him problems. Three reasons why: First, Judah just ko Paris in 9 rounds, and went 12 with Lucas….how can he not have stamina??? Second, Judah can dance all around the slow Garcia all not and box the hell out him because Danny is very slow…..Lastly, danny is slow, loads up on all his punches, flat footed, gets hit alot, and he doesnt warm up to the 5-6 round….So by the time he does Judah will b confident and up on scorecards.

Posted January 13, 2013 11:30 pm

Dont any of you understand that Judah has no more endurance or stamina to compete wqith this kid Garcia. Nor does Judah have the chin. You’re all basing that Judah won’t be getting hit by Garcia and the fact is he IS GOING TO GET HIT BY GARCIA! Garcia will wear him down and break him apart in the process. Please don’t be naive, Judah’s best days are behind him. He’s just hyping and selling the gate because he has nothing else left. Trust me, Judah wont live past the 7th round with Garcia.

Cory Spinks was a very weak opponent… Danny Garcia is a very strong one.

I think Judah is in that same mind frame he was in when he had that second fight with Cory Spinks. I see him beating Garcia and by stoppage. He is going to have to stay totally focused to pull it off though; but he can do it. I wish him well.

Max Schmeling had 7 losses—4 by KO—when he felled Joe Louis for the 10-count.. Judah beating Garcia would be a similar upset.. Garcia has a stronger chin than Louis. Schmeling was a terrific counterpuncher. If you gave Max the right opening you were toast. Garcia is a great counterpuncher too. You can’t watch their fights with Amir Khan and draw your winner from that—Khan is a completely different fighter from either one.

Judah’s best chance is an extremely active fight from long range—with tons of very fast light punches so as not to give Garcia a chance to score a killer counter. He has to pray he gets a favorable ruling from the judges like he did vs Lucas Matthysse. This is Boxing. A lot of judges have short term memory problems… “Hey…where’d my pencil go?”

At some point early in the fight as is the case in most of his fights, Zab will ask the question of his opponent, as long as Garcia has an answer Zab will revert to type and proceed to get out hussled for the rest of the fight.

Zab at his best would trouble Garcia but he’s far from he’s best…..He needs 2 out box, move, tier Garcia out b4 becoming the aggressor late….I can’t c Judah dong this, if he lays on the ropes early it could b bad ending 4 Zab….Judah will need his cap on from the start (Super Zab)

I like Danny Garcia and all but I just don’t care for his pop. It’s like his dad is trying to steal his sons thunder or something, as a trainer father or not he’s just to loud. Danny is from Philly like me an all-but I just don’t care for his pop. The thing with Juda is he just need to deliver on a big fight.

maybe years and years ago judah was overhyped but I dont think he gets much respect at all nowadays. It not likely to happen, but I just think that Zab fighting at his highest potential, staying focused could definitly beat Garcia. The problem is the odds are so stacked on the side of Judah mentally fallin apart and gettin battered till he quits or the ref stops it. I really want to see if Garcia’s dad gettin under his skin makes him flustered and givin an angry and sloppy performance or if it motivates and brings the best out of him.

I don’t think. I KNOW that Judah isn’t on the level of Garcia. Khan was SHREDDING Judah last time I SAW him in a Big Fight. And that just happenned to be the same guy that Garcia OBLITERATED. Garcia will WIN this one by stoppage. Its EASY to FORESEE.

Posted January 13, 2013 6:54 pm

Don’t be too quick to dismiss Judah. Garcia is a good little fighter, but he’s far from invincible. I could easily see Judah, the crafty vet, with still plenty left in the tank, take the young lad to school. (Judah looked sensational in his last fight.) I say look for Judah to put in a performance of the lifetime and stop Garcia in the late rounds. Judah wins by TKO in the 11th.

Posted January 13, 2013 6:50 pm

LikeISeeIt

I think Judah might be able to survive to the final bell, but Garcia lures his opponents in by establishing their patterns, testing traps, and then setting traps through timing. It just looks like Garcia is above average, but I think his boxing IQ is underestimated. This should be interesting though.

im gonna go to the casino and put a little on judah i think hes got a better chance than most people think, it just dsepends on which Zab shows up that night, his career fell short because his biggest weakness is his brain. He could of been an alltime great if he knew how to stay focused, properly motivated, and not so easily distracted or thrown off his gameplan. He will always be cool to me cuz in real life when not doin the brooklyn gangster thing he loves his fans and will always take time to chat and show his fans appreciation face to face. Good luck Zab!
