JMM is BIGGER than pacman: factual: more KO than pacman, never been KO, pacman been KO 3 times, marquez face the best boxers there is (mayweather etc etc) pacman run from then pacman just like easy fights with old boxers and low quality boxer that he can beat in few round, thatas why he get frustated with marquez a true tactician technician fighter that is intelligent and has startegy. No doubt JMM much better than pacman, i don’t say pacman is a bad boxer but i don’t get fool by the BS fight that arum arrenge specially for pacman to over inflate his image and therefore make more money. Yeah JMM has no media machine behind him he don’t speak english and he don’t make a big drama of his fights ( like pacquiao vs mayweather, JMM just fough mayweather period pacquiao put every excuse possible and arum was smart coz he knew after mayweather pacquiao was no more his boy toy making machine) So to me JMM is better than pacman by far proof last KO over pacman, as far as i remember pacquiao never KO marquez, just facts sredmond just facts

sredmond i’m sourprise why marquez is not a superstar when he has more ko’s in his professional carreer than pacquiao in the same number of fights , marquez never have been KO, pacquiao has been KO 3 times, marquez face mayweather, pacquiao run from him, the fight of marquez always face good boxer ( not retirees like grandpa de la hoja o grandpa mosley o wanna be boxers like cotto o hatton o dirty boxer like margarito who is easy to defeat since he can use anymore the dirty tricks he used to win his fights) marquez always go to the distance is his fights to 12 rounds ( exept the 40 he so far won by KO’s). IDK i think the difference is that marquez don’t speak english and that he don’t have a manager like “daddy” arum that pay the judges in his fight of have a big media machine.

I don’t agree JMM clearly is a honest boxer proof of that is that pacman was winning the fight before he almost got kill by marquez. JMM was tired and all biten up in the mine time pacquiao was full of energy (read ped) he is so much in ped that after the fight he sing in his own concert ( no this time tough!) other boxer just go home and relax pacquiao just continue the party after his fights…..??? i’m not saying but I’m saying very obvious.

JMM already say there is no 5th fight, he won all previous 4 fight, and with the last KO, pacquiao just go home man you have enough already. for me no need for 5 fight JMM own pacman ass thats all.

Cesar i agree with you on the robed part of JMM won over pacman on the 3 fight no doubt JMM won agree 100% with you on this one, thats why i didn’t par pay per view i knew daddy arum already has the judges in his pocket, but JMM has no other choice but to cool pacman ass cold and send him to the hospital for the doctor to check if he still has his brain in the right place.

you forgot to mention what happend in the 3rd, selective memory problem? pacman was bouncing in his ass on the canvas on the 3rd remember?

great pac? you should say great “daddy arum” he is the great, media genious, he knows how to make money, JMM won all 4 fight no doubt, but daddy arum has in his payroll the judges and he knows how to handle media, making appear as if pacman was really good boxer, arreging fights with old fart boxer and low quality boxer ( grandpa de la hoja , grandpa mosley, wanna be boxer cotto and hatton, and dity margarito who never win a fight after the boxing commision was aware of him using “tricks” to win his fight? Great??? i don’t think so, i think is just people that got foul by daddy arum, but hey thank goodness still there are people who knows a bout boxing.

Doctors Fear Pacquiao Is Developing Parkinson’s Studies have confirmed steroid abuse has a long term effect on the neurological pathways of the brain. Depending on the age when steroids are taken, the effects can sometimes be permanent. For example, abusing steroids in the teenage years of development has shown to affect the brain’s ability to properly produce serotonin, the enzyme tied with our sense of well-being. This tampering with serotonin can lead to permanent increases in depression and aggression leading to Alzheimers and Parkinson’s.

Mexicans are boxings biggest fans why do you think Mayweather, Martinez and Khan all said “Viva Mexico” after their last fights in the ring interviews. Mexicans love Mexican fighters and follow them loyally.

Pac Roid Man gets 10 mil but Bob Arum only gives him 5 mil cause Pac is always borrowing money from Arum. Mayweather gets 40 million so what. Oscar De La Hoya used to get 50+ million. Marquez lives in Mexico so 3 mil here is 36 mil over there. so who makes what huh?

Posted January 16, 2013 4:43 pm

Rooster

I TOTALLY agree with that! this guy has gotten knocked out by a body punch before by a guy who weighed 108 pounds but when Margarito cracked his ribs “literally”, he kept jumping around the ring like a flea! Marquez beat his ass 4 times and Bradley beat him too “defensively”. Pacquiao should go to the Oprah show and do what Lance Armstrong did, admit it.

Posted January 16, 2013 4:37 pm

I would pay 700k to see Margarito kick your fat ass!! Eureka…LOL. deush bagg

Mega Lamps

It’ll get at least 1.5 million. Far more people are interested in this fight than they were for 3 and 4. Plus 4 was arguably the most exciting of the bunch and helped turn Marquez into a bigger star. The article fails to mention that.

Welp youre an idiot. Nothing to see here folks.

I looked at Lance Armstrong as a model of modern times by admitting he DOPED. Maybe its the right time to admit it now that I also doped during that 4th fight with GREAT PAC because i have no other options to beat this guy…

Good Luck Marquez, you can do it man.

LMFAO @ How desperate pac is right now. defo came off the peds after the margo fight he aint s**t now

The 4th fight IMO was the worst JMM has looked outside of the KD in the 3rd and the KO in the 6th. Pac just looked like he was going to stop him in the next couple of rds but it never happen. Anyway, as long as it tops 1 million and the fans are happy who cares if it tops all records-I’m speaking as a fan and not a promoter lol. I have no idea how De La Hoya vs Mayweather did so well anyway-I have no clue how De La Hoya vs Mayweather could top his fights over Hopkins-Trinidad and Vargas or even Quartey. The Hopkins fight was just very enteresting so I can see everyone wanting to see it and we knew the Vargas, Trinidad and Quartey fights would be wars atleast on paper but what the hell did everyone expect from his fight vs Mayweather. Like I said, we all know that a 5th fight between these two will be a classic

I don’t think Pacquiao should even entertain a tune up fight. He need to chill a bit and fight Marquez on May 4th. I’m sure the Mexican croud would get up more for Pac vs JMM than Mayweather vs The Ghost. Pac vs JMM should be in Texas also-this should be a mega event even if it doesn’t top De La Hoya vs Mayweather. The fans say they want to see great fights well so what its the same fighters but they prduce a classic every time they fight. You have two really big name fighters going at it for the 5th time and I can’t wait. JMM was down by 5 points after the 2nd rd of the 1st fight so how anyone believe JMM won that fight is beyond me. The 2nd fight was tic for tac but the knock down was the difference. The 3rd fight was tough & could’ve gone either way but JMM was never robbed-the 3rd fight was good but most of the people thought JMM was going to get smoked and he did alot better than everyone thought.

Marquez is a Legend who Dethroned a legend! Pacquiao needs Marquez #5 in orded to redeem him self. One thing is true! they are at their very best against each other and they have given boxing 4 great fights for history. Will #5 break ppv records? yes it will! Does Pacman or Marquez have a chance of braking ppv records with out each other? No!

Posted January 15, 2013 1:33 pm

Marquez will get 10 mill plus he has the leverage to get that and Pacquiao has the incentive to give it… That loss was crushing and is the strongest memory that arose from the series between the two

Posted January 15, 2013 12:31 pm

SREDMOND

Even if Pacquiao knocks out Marquez it still does NOT change the fact that Marquez knocked him cold in the 4th bout that is simply a matter of history… Get over it!

Posted January 14, 2013 6:19 pm

Hecdog, you are like a bitter ex-girlfriend Marquez is setting up to make sure he gets the appropriate payday after putting out Pacquiaos lights.. The bout is only a month old and you want him to start training again? JMM NEVER hid from Pacquiao in his life, he chased the man thru 4 weight classes and 8 years his face should be in the dictionary under the word persistence… We all know Marquez is going to fight Pacquiao again the money is TOO great… Whats puzzling is your hatred of a GREAT fighter who knocked out a GREAT fighter….

Marquez’s fanbase that is keeping boxing alive in this country…….Still in love Tumbo…Without a named fighter JMM is and will always be 2nd rate….

I watched that fight 6 times now and Roach gave Pac Man terrific advice AFTER his best round (5) he told him to move his head with authority… Reminds me of Mayweather Sr telling Hatton to “move his damn head” after the first round with Pacquiao…. Difference Pac was getting the better of JMM in round 5, but Roach clearly saw the danger, Pacquiao got careless and then clipped…

Posted January 14, 2013 1:28 pm

srminimo

I actually agree with Roach on all accounts. At this time in Pac’s career he’s just not going to get motivated for a tune up fight and #5 will be the biggest of all because I think everybody wants to see how this plays out. And I do think he was looking very good up until the point he got KOd. If I were Pac I would be listening to Roach before I listened to those 2 crooks Konz and Arum.

Margarito, what a joke that guy never did numbers except for when he fought the MORE popular Cotto and sustained that beating against Pacquiao…If these guys are such PPV atttractions then why no paydays against Golden Johnson or Pwill? Why no big payday for Marquez against Diaz and Katsidis?? Pac Man is on PPV against Clottey, doing 700k plus and Mayweather can do 78 mill in revenue vs Ortiz…. Marquez and Margarito cannot make a PPV dime outside of facing Superstars but then again in your mind Pac Man was NOT the second Highest paid athlete in the world, Marquez was!! Eureka…LOL

SREDMOND

Te Tumbo, I am just answering your SILLY post in order to provide a clear, factual and unbiased perspective for some of the more novice posters that may be swayed by your inaccuracies.. The Mexican fanbase has NEVER to date allowed JMM to be the A side of a SINGLE PPV fight in his entire career… The ONLY PPV fights that JMM has been in involved were with Mayweather and Pacquiao beyond that its debateable that he can even attract the number of fans Chavez Jr can who ACTUALLY got A side money fighting against the MW Champion of the world….I KNOW you think that Marquez is bigger than Pac Man in boxing, which we all know is NUTS but then again taking 6 mill vs another guys 25 mill is a CLEAR indication of your drawing power or 4 mill plus an overweight penalty vs Mayweather… Marquez is similar to Martinez, BOTH are massive PPV talents but they have not connected in a big way beyond hardcore fans and have no PPV clout

?MARQUEZ FANBASE KEEPING BOXING ALIVE??!! WTF?!! ARE YOU ON THE PIPE?! WHERE’S MARGARITA??

Posted January 14, 2013 12:36 pm

REDMOND, you’re cracked. whether it be live gate or PPV buys it’s Marquez’s fanbase that is keeping boxing alive in this country. whether it be v. DLH, Marquez, or even Margarito, it’s the same fanbase that exceeded PPV numbers for Pacquiao* v. Hatton. without Marquez’s fanbase, Pacquiao* is lucky to bust 500,000 in this country. particularly now that Mayweather is no longer a realistic option. conversely, Rios or Guerrero boosts even an exposed Pacquiao’s* numbers above 1 million again.

MNBoxingFAN – Sean

Isn’t it sad that after a fighter loses one fight he’s suddenly “on the decline”? Pacquiao was robbed in the Bradley fight. He boxed Tim’s ears off. Then he was coming back strong and winning against Marquez. He had him hurt and got careless trying to finish him off. I wouldn’t say that he’s on the decline. He still looked as dangerous as ever. Do I think it’ll be the largest PPV ever… no… it will do better than the 4th fight though.

Roach is crazy, the fight will definitely do big business but I doubt it will exceed even Mayweather/Cotto at 1.5mill… Reality is that Marquez is NOT a PPV attraction and thus does not bring the additional fans needed to hit 2 million…
