What a crock!… Arum is a typical crying, whining conservative trying to avoid paying commensurate taxes on a payday gained on American soil, literally off brave fighters’ blood sweat and tears, that will only add to what is already more Arum wealth than over half of all Americans combined, will ever see in their lifetimes.

It’s ironic how foreigners come onto an American site because it is the best and bash us when when they have nothing. The world relies on us for everything. We OWN YOU! Stay within your piss poor country and its sites… Your welcome for the Internet and computers too and how about the steel that your cities were made with its from a company called U.S. Steel!

this is a leverage ploy to get more money from mgm or mandalay for the fight… they may pay taxes but in Mexico the arena is not going to pay them in the US they already have 15 to 20 mill in the bank just from the venue in vegas… so they pretty much pay the taxes and a little bit more they would get from ppv.

MASTER PO

The deal is crackquaio dont want to be blood tested 24/7 like Lance Armstrong and get busted!!!
If the fight is in the U.S. they’ll ask for blood testing.. Crackquaio won’t be able to take epo like lance
and win 7 world tour de france titles. MMM that sounds familiar didn’t crackquaio win 8 weight divisions.

OK Arum, we won’t buy the fight if it’s not in the US… you see, it’s like an ecosystem.

I don’t buy that high taxes crap! Even if Uncle Sam takes 50% in taxes they both still make more money here in the US than in Mexico or Asia! The main reason why outside the US is to not get caught on PED! PAC is on a mission to redeem himself that’s why he is going back to taking his PEDs and avenge his loss.

Screw Arum & Pacquiao. High taxes are here to stay amd we may as well get used used to it. That goes for Marquez as well.

aside from perking up las vegas economy, every time pacman fights…..he paid 10-20M in taxes to help your government feed you. not that he doesn’t want to pay taxes. HE JUST DOESN’T WANT TO SUBSIDIZE YOUR LAZINESS AND FEED YOU WITH HIS TAXES.

pacman’s message: GO FIND A JOB…AND FEED YOURSELF.

pacman fought in america to help your government feed you with the taxes he pays. but welfare dependent idiots like you, won’t improve if he continues subsidizing their existence with his taxes.

that’s the reason america is going bankrupt. too many lazy welfare dependent slobs like you, to feed… and you’re even proud of it. tsk tsk tsk

that’s the reason why pacman choose to fight somewhere else. he doesn’t want his taxes, to subsidize and feed idiots like you.

floid says he earns 50M per fight, easy. but when the IRS comes calling…he fights them for billing him an “exorbitant” 3M tax. uh, 3M tax are only for those earning 10M or less! but why did froid say he earns 50M per fight? why is he trying to bloat his income…only to end up broke? what a fraud.

meanwhile…pacman paid his 15M taxes without a hiss. so, basing on their taxes…who do you think between the two earns more in boxing?

Who cares if Pacquiao and Marquez fight elsewhere to avoid taxes?? That kind of money is going to generate a HUGE US tax bill no matter what administration is in office…The only thing that matters is the actual bout and its outcome…Pac and Marquez have both made thier biggest paydays fighting on US soil and if they choose to stage a bout elsewhere so be it… Ali fought in Africa decades ago and Chavez fought Haugen in Mexico…. Some of you guys are like Women its not as if you were going to the fight ANYWAY as long as you have HBO STFU and watch the bout… Sheesh

Yeah, that’s right Arum, turn a boxing fight in to a political vehicle, most boxing fans can’t afford a ticket anyway, and only a fraction can attend a fight, so complaining about the rich paying more taxes isn’t going to sway anyone. So, one fight happens outside the states, should everyone be up in arms? It’s a liable sport involving two non-Americans in this matchup. Mug.

Papo

I wonder how many posters here who are criticizing Bob and Pac for their decision will be helping then at the end by buying their pay-per-view event. I wouldn’t expect anything else from Bob, or Pac for that matter. They have manipulated the sport of boxing from the beginning through catch-weights and the use of peds. Also, they don’t have any respect for the sport, and their greed clearly represents their lack of respect for the fans. We cannot expect anything less from them.

However, we should be sending the message to them by not financing their greed. If we know they are a disgrace to the sport, then why support them? Complaint if you must, but at the same time do something about it; don’t buy their pay-per-view event. Don’t just post here about their greed and then turn around to support that greed.

Don’t let the news teach you about America you have to be here to believe the lavish lifestyles that even the poor enjoy!…really it’s true! Matter of fact most folks in this forum are normal folk and even poor that’s just the culture of a boxing fan here. I bet most NON Americans visiting this site are rich…that’s the difference, a poor American has an iPhone and eats well, in other country’s that is for the rich!

This taxes BS is ridiculous. It’s the same in every developed country. Sure put the fight in Mexico, Macau or Burkina Faso or any third world country and don’t pay taxes. The guy that fu**ed up the US economy, who’s decisions Pac and Marquez now are paying for is retired in Texas somewhere. Don’t blame the guy trying to clean the epic mess up.

So Pacquiao doesn’t mind the fact that it’s the US coverage that made him a star, it’s the US public that made him millions. The Nike ads etc etc. If US tax system is so bad why don’t all the rich SOB’s move to other 3rd world countries nobody is stopping them. Let them fight in Mexico where judges won’t give the fight to Pacquaio as in Vegas. All the morons crying about the exorbitant tax, those rich bastards could care less about you. You worried about their money, guess what they are only worried about their money too. Now it makes the 2 of you worried about the same money. Stupid thing you are worried about somebody’s assets. Rather worry about your house, retirement, children’s education and your health plan.

CurlyQ.Howard

As far as I’m concerned anybody who believes that the fighters should willingly fight and be taxed at almost 40% rather than fight elsewhere and pay less (neither man is a U.S. citizen), should willingly contribute whatever additional percentage in taxes necessary to achieve that rate (almost 40%) themselves. Naturally, not one of you would do so (as you’re not stupid either).

I personally could care less where they hold the fight. I would think this has more to do with the fact Bob’s cash cow was put on a medical suspension in NV. Which would affect Arum’s pocket book. Arum is a money grubbing, soulless, turd anyway. The big question is “Since Arum is saving on taxes will the PPV price be discounted?”

Posted January 17, 2013 6:45 pm

hahaha!! That’s hilarious. So, he’s made millions and millions fighting in the States and now he doesn’t wanna pay taxes?? Foo, the U.S. is the reason you’re rich. What a wiener.

Matador.

Gotta admit…I’m skeptical. Arum came up with countless number of reasons why the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight wouldn’t happen — claiming at one point in time that he wanted to build a new stadium (even though Kevin Iole pointed out that doesn’t make financial sense). He’s a slippery $#@%. Just part of the game. Not surprised if there;s an ulterior motive.

bald_head_slick

Juan avoiding taxes for this fight actually makes sense. He doesn’t give a damn because his point has been proven and he lives next door. Why not support Mexico?

So Pac loves the exorbitant ticket prices he can charge US citizens, but he doesn’t want to give back to the very country which made him rich in the first place? Then Bob Arum is cosigning this using it as a political platform as to why rich people shouldn’t pay taxes? So we shouldn’t tax the rich because we don’t get to see meaningless fights? F you guys and the horse you rode in on! Any of you clowns thinking Pacfraud is doing ANYTHING for the fans needs to get their head examined. All he is doing is putting on a master class on how to duck any and all competition!

Juan already proved what he needed to (Marquez > Pacquiao) and in the process ruined, *ahem* CORRECTED, Pacfraud’s legacy (Mayweather * N > Pacquiao). Take this joke of a fight nobody wants to see to another country. Keep ducking REAL competition while you are at it you fraud.

Bradley has your belts. Juan has your cookies. Mayweather has your soul!

Migs, the only difference between Pacquaoi and the Hollywood elite is that he’s actually honest about it. Do you think Samuel L. Jackson and George Clooney and others shoot movies in LA? No! They go to Toronto or Prague or Paris. Why? Because the taxes are crazy in LA, which is why nobody shoots movies there anymore. Ironic, isn’t it? Nobody shoots movies in LA anymore. But movies stars aren’t honest about it because they have to preserve and image.

I bet when Arum dies hes gonna have them bury all his money with him so he can b rich in hell. Hey Im sorry to change the subject but I was wonderin if someone could post a question on the forum for me, my email is messed up and I cant do it myself. The question is ( If Mayweather ever fights Garcia, who do you think would win the war of words between him and Dannys father at the prefight events? oh and Ive seen Dannys dad talk alot about opponent’s bad performances in previous fights to push their buttons. Cant really do that with Floyd since hes never been beaten so how do you think he would go about tryin to piss him off?) I’d really appreciate it if someone could do that and sorry again for changin the subject.
