Well at least we arent seeing a retread in the ring. But I cant see Wach as any kind of threat this is just a selling point by Steward. Both brothers will make as much money as they can before they walk away and this is one way how to do it.Because at this point will they be in a mega fight before they retire like Ali-Frasier or Ali-Foreman? Its hard to say but their time is running out and they want to walk away with the most money they can.Posted August 28, 2012 3:44 am
Tim ; perhaps you should take a page from your own book and be a little more tolerant yourself . Bears
Aside from blowing your horn and promenading ” your guys ” , what the hell is your point ?Posted August 27, 2012 6:12 pm
Excellent !Posted August 27, 2012 6:08 pm
I expect the secret to remaining a champion is never to look past any opponent. Sure, Steward is selling this fight, but it is his job to see the danger in every opponent and prepare his fighter for every possibility. Train hard, to win easy.Posted August 27, 2012 1:38 pm
Wladimir is extremely fast. The fastest big man out there.Posted August 27, 2012 12:10 pm
It will be a war of jabs for 12 rounds. Wach has the height and reach but Wlad so much more skilled and athletic with easily UD him. Both these guys like fighting on the outside so it won’t be a lewis-vitali brawl. It will be like to giant fencers, Might end up boring but just great to see Wlad handle a taller good opponent.Posted August 27, 2012 11:09 am
I met Manny back in the mid 70′s at the Louisianna State Fair Boxing Tournament at Shreporte ,Louisianna.I had Smiley Gomez,Sammy Fuentez and Raphe Simms and several other good amateurs including Ricky Stoner back then…..Time really does fly.
Yeah, two athletes, one who is still in his prime should retire so that someone else can win. Are you really that stupid?Posted August 27, 2012 10:34 am
Bill (KlichKO brothers are the best REAL HEAVYWEIGHTS ever)
The fight is very interesting. Everyone here (even KlichKO haters aka Nazi btches) will be watching it and enjoying it, for sure. Two huge boxers in the ring is an always interesting show.Posted August 27, 2012 8:08 am

WLADIMIR OVER WACH TIME 6.40 AM AUGUST27/2012Posted August 27, 2012 6:37 am
Why is Bears comments getting deleted. I have disagreed with him on many occasions but he knows his boxing. Deleting Bears comments is BS.
Wach is a good opponent and his size, power, strength and solid chin combined with a good amateur background and 27 straight victories make him dangerous. Equal to Puvel, Helenius, Haye, Adamek or any top 10 except he is taller than Wlad which will make it very interesting as Wlad has never faced a man taller than himself.Posted August 27, 2012 3:41 am
the voice of reason
I agree that it might be too early for this guy, but slow? he doesnt look that slow to me! hes looked pretty good so far the way hes finished people off. I feel that this occasion will be too much for him at this stage however, and that wlad will do to him what he did to ray austinPosted August 27, 2012 3:32 am
Both Wladdy and Vitali need to step down and wait for their IBHOF induction down the road……. The division is shallow and bland in 2012…… Let the new kids at 220+ pound regroup and build back up again…..
MR.BILLPosted August 27, 2012 3:23 am
WACH already fought Tye Fields and easily destroyed him.Posted August 26, 2012 11:24 pm
Kenny ..so glad to see you back…..
ESB is such a great site….Promoters have a cupla schills to promote certain points of view ..and send illegit complaints …You got bounced cupla times…so did the Bull…and like that….lotsa good fight fans just stopped posting here….don’t know where they went
Good to read your thoughts Kenny …you got a lot to offerPosted August 26, 2012 11:23 pm
two of my four winnings have been from Europe..UK…..Both my losses were to that brilliant area of Boxing as well……I pay my debts..and so do many …many honourable fellows tooPosted August 26, 2012 11:20 pm
Guttr…I’m cheering louder and longer than you are…but I’m betting four times as much……four times nothing…is nothing
and the hype continues
btw..same bet for shaved Hungarian Salami still stands…..actually ..I’ve had to pay that off twice..and collected four times….what we do..is the winner gives the loser the credit card..or bank coordinates ..after establishing the price of the bet..in terms of shaved Hungarian Salami….and once the transaction clears….the winner goes down and picks up his prize….all is paid…no harm done…….my wins and losses have been private..and as the debts were paid…..nobody else need be involvedPosted August 26, 2012 11:17 pm
Wepner DID NOT step on Ali’s foot — that is more revisionist horsecrap from the Afro-American boxer worshipper brigade.Posted August 26, 2012 11:16 pm
This author says, “Wach still at the Tye Fields level.” … Not so.. Wach would take Fields out in the 1st round with absolutely no problem.. However Wach is not ready for the top contenders such as Haye, and Waldimir will make short work of him.Posted August 26, 2012 11:15 pm
Guttr…fkn rights…but that’s been tru for a lot longer than the Klitschko lads have snagged the belts……
Boxing is Business…..and that stuff called pugilism..that is on page two or soPosted August 26, 2012 11:12 pm
…and the Hype continues…..betcha a half kilo of shaved Hungarian Salami….you can’t find six legitimate fight fans who know who Wach is…where he fought…who trains him…who he beat…or much else ??
“Speed is not as big a deal at HW as timing”……that is so very true! Wach does have a good habit with connecting when he needs to, hopefully his timing will make this a much better fight than anticipated! Wach IS tough! but probably wont be as conditioned as an elite athlete should be.Posted August 26, 2012 8:55 pm
Speed is not as big a deal at HW as timing.
And if WACH times Wlad right with a punch like he KO’d McBride with, he’ll be the NEW HW CHAMP!Posted August 26, 2012 8:36 pm
Well I really look forward to it!
KO 3rd Round!Posted August 26, 2012 8:24 pm
WACH is a lot better than people think he is!
People called the K-Bros SLOW for years as well, and who are the champions????
WACH is a big, mean, tough Polish SOB and he is gonna give Wlad a real test.Posted August 26, 2012 8:18 pm
Wach puts his combinations together in the latter rounds, towards the decline of his exausted overweight opposition. He seems to move just as slow as his comp, and just a little less clumsy. The difference is in the finishing. Wach somehow picks up steam, gets quicker, then starts to throw with a more determined attitude. He paces himself against less fit competition then takes em out! Wlad is always fit and stays on the offensive with stewards style of “fighting tall.” I still have to agree with steward, Wach could make it interesting by holding and keeping that weak pesky jab in Wlads face as he bides for time. If Wach can keep his composure maybe he can get Wlad to mentally go back at a time he didnt have steward in his corner. I see this guy Wach as the only existing heavyweight that can make it a little interesting for Wlad…..Wow, the heavyweight division really does suck at this particular junction in time! Those new muscles Wach has put on for the fight might work against himself, he already lacks defense, just has a pretty strong chin. He likes to bend forward at the waist giving up his height advantage, then exchanges an equal amount of jabs, until his ordinary foe wilts. Lets hope the fight is a bit competitive for at least 4 rnds or surprisingly more, for competition sake, and the public’s…..at least.Posted August 26, 2012 8:06 pm
Wach is not as slow as people are saying. I’ve seen Wach turn on his punches when he has opponents in trouble and most impressively punch really nice powerful combinations. Review his last few fights, especially towards the end of each. I think Wach is just an economical fighter who knows the limits of his conditioning and doesnt want to punch himself out so he saves the speed when its called for. He does have a good jab and a very powerful right hand. His chin is said to be good as well. In the end, he’ll be well over matched against Wlad, but against Wladdy one good punch is all that it takes and believe me, Wach size and reach will give him the chance to land it. Imo Stewart and Wlad will plan to take out Wach early to prevent that possibility.Posted August 26, 2012 6:27 pm
Bears….they did that to me a couple of times I thought, but who knows….agrivation comes with politics and boxing certainly is political. Now days it is even hard to be a trainer without an opinion. You know what they say about opinions I guess…..Posted August 26, 2012 5:56 pm
People come hee for the comments and the news. Not the weak ass opinions of some of these east side contributors. I mean, they have to expect there exists in this world a differing view or opposed view to their own. If east side is going back to the deleting of comments then east side is ruined.Posted August 26, 2012 5:27 pm
Wow my comments are getting deleted. East side went communist along with the new changes. No more freedom of speech. SadPosted August 26, 2012 5:19 pm
AgreedPosted August 26, 2012 5:05 pm
Sell it Steward!!! Sell it!!! Then again Wach may be the “Truth” Williams or Witherspoon to Klit’s Holmes.Posted August 26, 2012 4:40 pm
The reason why Wach is ranked that high is because he got the WBC International Title.Posted August 26, 2012 4:36 pm
This ones a no brainer….Wlad wins by KO in 2-3 rounds…Wach is taller but he doesnt use his height to his advantage; hes slow; no left hand….maybe that huge chin will correlate to an iron chin and that way he stands a chance.Posted August 26, 2012 4:29 pm
