Wlad has turned into the new Deontay Wilder Posted February 21, 2013 11:11 pmwillywlad outclasses them all .one contender seems as hopless against him as all the rest. the guy is that good for now . until some one hits him with a welltimed punch or father time robs him of his skills .remember tyson douglas , norton ali 1 lewis rocman 1 Posted February 21, 2013 1:13 pmFEARSJennings is an exciting HW with loads of potential, but he is not yet ready for Wlad. I don’t understand why his people are throwing him to the wolves this soon with so many other options out there for him now such as the Adameks, Mitchells, and Boytsovs available. Posted February 19, 2013 10:35 amnicolasI would say, looking at the ratings of the WBA, BO, and IBF, that Jennings is the 6th most deserving. In order, he should first have offered these men, Povetkin, Pulev, Helenius, Haye, Adamak before Jennings. I think it is fair to say, Povetkin (considering his history) Helenius, and Adamak would have taken the fight, but the other two men would have, and even now, starngely enough, I think a Wlad/Haye fight would still sell, esspecially in Great Britain. As a world champion, of the three organizations that I have noted, Wlad should be trying to fight the highest contender possible. He has been very honorable in his defenses so far, I would like to see him continue being honorable. Posted February 19, 2013 4:11 amJimWladimir should fight either: Povetkin, Pulev or Fury, in that order. Posted February 18, 2013 10:39 pmfranknot doubt wlad is the class of the division but jennings has a punchers chance Posted February 18, 2013 8:26 pmMoonshinemanBryant Jennings is nowhere near Klitchko’s skill level. This fight is not a contest, but an execution. Posted February 18, 2013 4:13 pmAnonymousfool have you ever heard about Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Marvellous Joe Frazier, and the greatest of them all, Cassius Clay aka Muhamad Ali, the greast of them all, my ass! Posted February 18, 2013 2:55 pmAnonymousFury is a good option too. Posted February 18, 2013 11:56 amAnonymousDane is right solis needs to fight back into the top ten. He also needs to avoid food between rounds. I agree with most that Klubrat is the best contender. Unfortunately I can’t get that Travis Walker fight out of my mind where he looked lackadaisical at best. Posted February 18, 2013 11:55 amhucksterPulev-Wlad 2013!! Posted February 18, 2013 10:48 amrodThis fight is crap. Get Fury, at least he is entertaining. I think Price and Pulev are too dangerous for Wlad now, he must be having bad dreams. Posted February 18, 2013 10:12 amUnbiased DaneSolis need to restart his career before fighting Wlad. Posted February 18, 2013 8:04 amSwedish Boxing FanI still hope for Wladimir Klitschko will get a fight with 2004 Olympic gold medalist Odlianer Solis, that fight would be best in absent of Alexander Povetkin who continues to run from Klitschko. They all run from Wlaimir. Posted February 18, 2013 7:27 amLayla AliYour right on the money. Posted February 18, 2013 3:32 amLayla AliName one contender that has a shot against a Klitschko, and don’t say Solis Or Haye. If u were in charge, who would Wlad be facing? But be sure to name someone who u feel has a legit chance. Posted February 18, 2013 3:27 amBEARSking wlad fears no one. king wlad continues to put on awesome shows. king wlad continues to SMASH the heavyweight records. with the arsenal wlad has to say such empty head remarks as “wlad must fear this guy or that” is empty headed. imagine your head getting hit by wlads jab, wlads left hook, wlads strait right, then think about your wlad fear statement and then take your head out of your keister and re-post how you totally misunderstood anything related to heavyweight boxing Posted February 18, 2013 12:09 amKinggood post by Prince Posted February 17, 2013 9:36 pmrodWlad must be scared of Pulev. Nightmares. Posted February 17, 2013 8:51 pmSquared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)IMO, Jennings isn’t ready to face king Wlad, but if he has the balls to step up to the plate, let him have a shot at the title. Wlad is going to be sitting on top that HW throne for another 3-4 years, so all you fools and haters best get real accustomed to it. Wlad will definitely retire as the undisputed greatest HW of all time. And the truth is if he were a black American named “Tyrone” all you Mayweather nuthuggers would be saying the exact same thing. You feel me bro??? Posted February 17, 2013 8:24 pmSquared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)Prince is a total blithering idiot. Soliis’ knee buckled and gave out as a direct result of Vitali landing a quick, hard right to his temple. Povetkin has been ducking Wlad for years. The K-bros have taken on ALL comers and can barely find decent HWs who are willing to get in the ring with them. I respect Jennings for actually wanting to fight Wlad, but once he feels the force of that power jab and a couple of straight right steel-hammers he’ll get stunned, backed the F up, and will quickly realize that he’s way overmatched and in serious trouble. Then he’ll get systematically dismantled, smashed and KTFO just like 50 other challengers before him. Posted February 17, 2013 8:22 pmAlonzoFor those of you hankerin’ for a solis or heye fight, why? solis’s knee gave out cause he had to eat before him and Vittles touched gloves. That’s right he had a ham sandwich while Vittles did his walk in. A ham sandwich–not even a kosher meal! At any rate the extra weight from the food on board caused his knee to buckle. As far as heye, he actually wet himself during the face off with Wlad. That’s why he ran the rest of the fight–he was trying to dry off! He wet himself like brave Sir Robin on Monty Python’s and the Holy Grail! Look it up on youtube. Posted February 17, 2013 7:44 pmUnbiased Daneprince : dam what a lame comment. You talk about Wlad choosing easy fights and then you bring up names like Solis and Povetkin. Solis is out of shape, and he fights no one. And Povetkin vent life and death with a mediocre CW Marco Huck. AlonzoIf they gotta have a brother why not Banks, Cuningspam, or . . . heck even Wilder. Posted February 17, 2013 7:24 pmAlonzoEvery day I check eastside to see who Wlad’s opponent is for the 6th of April. Do I expect to find a top ten Eurohonkie? No! It’s always either solis or jennings, not Kubrat, Povo, Price or Furry. I woulda liked to see Pianeta–seems like he’s on the wrong side of the mediteranean for the powers who schedule these opponents. Posted February 17, 2013 7:23 pmprinceWhat a fantastic match-up! Another “bum of the month” contender from the US picked carefully by Klitschko, cause if he faced strong competition the whole world would see that they just win because they are big guys. And HBO and Showtime are interested? How can a guy who has 16 fights and has not beaten anybody of name yet be selected for such a fight. This happens all the time. K only fight guys who are below 20 fights! Why not give Solis another shot or Haye, they have at least skill and bring sth to the table. (solis lost due to his knee giving away) Povetkin would be better as well. I am glad there is fighters like Broner, Alvarez who bring some excitement and skill! Posted February 17, 2013 7:09 pmLayla Ali“It would be a potentially tough fight for Wladimir if Jennings was able to land his shots” LOL, of course it would, and how generic of this author to make this point. Any contender that can land his shots on Wlad would be a “potentially” “tough” fight LOL,,, a child could come up with a better analysis than that LOL Posted February 17, 2013 4:57 pmLayla AliYou have a very very good point. Posted February 17, 2013 4:50 pmLayla AliYah, I noticed that, lol Posted February 17, 2013 4:47 pmLayla AliYour funny. Posted February 17, 2013 4:46 pmSVDCSo what is this? The WBA orders a manatory against Povetkin and we end up with Jennings? This stinks big time. And this comes from a Wlad fan Posted February 17, 2013 3:28 pmZztThats what I think, in shape solis is better than anybody . Posted February 17, 2013 2:48 pmJSLI think Jennings is taking this fight too soon. HBO and Showtime would probably only be interested because Wlad would be facing an American prospect. Posted February 17, 2013 2:18 pmFight AficionadoCorrection: Jennings. Still on my first cup of coffee. Posted February 17, 2013 12:19 pmFight AficionadoJenkins is the best contender among the Americans at this time. It would be a good action fight but IMO he needs to marinate 1 more year against solid comp to have a chance. I do like that he’s willing though, unlike these other dudes who just want to wait until the K Bros are gone and pick up the scraps. Posted February 17, 2013 12:18 pmPuncher007Bryant would get a good payday, and a good ass whooping ! Go for it! That’s what will happen. Posted February 17, 2013 12:04 pmBEARSI would love to see wlad slay jennings. Jennings last fight impressed me. Good reach, power, combos and arsenal. Certainly not on par with wlad. By any means. But the way jennings finished that samoan dude after getting dropped was pretty darn cool. itha was the first jennings fight I watched and I’m not gonn stop watching. Jennings is actually trying to fight the best out there. At this rate he is gonna pass up everyone else quick. He keeps calling EVERYONE out. I have to admit there is little to dislike from jennings approach. Posted February 17, 2013 12:00 pmJamesLooks like HBO and Showtime are ready to mess up another fighter’s career. These fighters need to understand that these cable companies do not care about them or their careers. Look at the mexican heavyweight Christobol, he is done. With only 16 fights under Jennings belt he stands no chance against any of the brothers. My advice to Jennings is not to fight the two brothers and keep fighting quality opposition to build you skills and career. Don’t let HBO or Showtime kill your career, they just don’t care about their fighters, you can make more money in the long term. If I were a top ranked title holder I would refuse to fight on either network. Just my take. Posted February 17, 2013 11:04 amAnonymousBy by the real deal wait and see!!! Posted February 17, 2013 11:03 amK-2-FanSince Vitaly already K.O.ed Soulless in the 1st round , Wlad’s only chance to do better would be to knock him out when he enters the ring . Posted February 17, 2013 10:39 amtalbodinwlad Skip SmithAs for Wlad being “uncomfortable” when an opponent fights back. They ALL fight back. He just negates that attack with superior skill. I guess it does make it look like they’re not fighting back. Nobody will beat this guy until he retires. Posted February 17, 2013 9:26 amJimJennings is a good guy. BUT—this is as huge a step up as you could take. Wladimir could toy with him a few rounds, and end it whichever round he chooses. I hope the fight comes off to generate some U.S. interest. A total mismatch though. Posted February 17, 2013 8:49 amdocWould really like to see Jennings pull it off, but I just don’t think that he has the power to do so. That being said, if he comes to fight and makes Wlad work by actually throwing punches (unlike Haye, Mormeck, Thompson, and Wach) he could have a degree of success. Wlad likes to set the pace and is still very uncomfortable when an opponent fights back. As for Pulev, I honestly don’t see what all the hype is about. He decisioned Travis Walker (who was KOd by Arreola, Banks, and Ademek). He beat Dimentrenko (who was already soundly beaten by Eddie Chambers). He beat Ustinov (another big Eastern Europe stiff).
