naneless im glad your so brave with this guys prices career get in there right away and if price gets koed again he should walk away do some thing elese. With a little time he can learn to fight off the back foot more .become more decision minded fighter . learn to use his height . these things take time to get used to. He might have trouble figting good leftys most fighter do including other so paws . a far as opponents there are plenty of them milak scott a 35-0 fighter who isnt a big puncher type but a good boxer . price should be able to deal with these guys becuse hhe has a big amamture record. then if he beats a few durable fighters who dont go down with the first punch next yr and has done some time sparring against lefties pay thompson to come to the uk and ko him and put this loss behind him. but to go right back and get koed right away isnt worth the risk even if the odds favor price to ko thompson

How will he fix the flaw fighting people who go down at the first right hand? He wont. He knows he should have stayed at range and it was a freaky one – but I would want the rematch straight away. My ego is bigger than walking away from a loss without learning enough to make it a win – if you cant do that. Do something else. There are far better fighters than this guy ahead.

I didnt say right away but the guy is 41 – you cant wait too long.

yea nameless get him a rematch right away when another ko might ruin his career. it would be stupid to try and build his confidence back with another fight or two first and fix the flaw in his defense that got him koed in the first place .

no rematch right away. one or two wins then maybe a rematch . but only afer plenty of sparring against tall lefties and why every time prices name comes up does everyone have to say fury next ?tThere a world full of heavyweights for price to fight> Fury is making his name outside of the uk also> Price should do the same unless he wants to b just a domestic fighter. time is running out and this knock out hasnt helped

Southpaws are easier for me.

This bad lesson has been served again bad decision by whoever matched him with Thompson should be fired
Old saying but true, STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHPAWS AT ALL COSTS!!! Lennox Lewis never fought Corrie Sanders, But Wlad Klitschko ldid same result as Price…Some day this will sink in to a better management Team….But Good Luck!!!!

Fight Aficionado

Price should definitely do a rematch right away. First fight KO was an anomaly IMO so if they do it again there’s a very high probability Price would win.

well nobody has EVER stopped dominic guinn

The troubling part of all this is that Thompson is not a one punch knockout kind of guy. He usually wears you down by punching head and body for a late stoppage or points win. He his Dominic Gwinn a thousand times, won big, but never had him on the floor. I don’t think Price needs another big puncher now. One more misstep and it could be all over for him.

Yes. You gotta avenge your loses.

Yes…rematch should happen.Thompson can make a good payday…and Price can show it was a ear shot fluke.

yeah im all for a rematch too. i would say this fight warrants one if price has the testicular fortitude. i think we can say any huge upset could rationalize a rematch. i vote REMATCH

Mighty Mike

I would get Thompson back over give him the payday and banish the demons as quick as posible, if it happens again then BurgerKing security here we come.

The voice of reason

worse thing price can do is come back with easy fights – he has to do what wlad did both times he got KO’d – go straight back in at high level with big punchers – its the only way he’ll get his confidence back. That is, if he doesnt get knocked out! depends how much he believes in himself. I got a feeling this has done him a lot of damage

Price got caught for being such a average skilled boxer without defence. He will be floored again, many times.

knowall

Should have the rematch
If Price boxes clever he will win rather than try to knockout everyone in two rounds. He got caught doing exactly that. Take the rematch and put it behind you

A lot of good fights could be made. Let’s hope some come through. Fury Thompson seems logical. AS for Price…I’d first be looking against a durable guy without too much KO power, who is not too dangerous; Chagaev? Chisora?

Ironically Price said of Audley Harrison before he fought : “Rematch Harrison? That’s ridiculous – you don’t rematch people you beat in the early stages of a fight by KO. iT JUST DOESN’T HAPPEN”
