SREDMOND

Russell, shows SERIOUS poise and maturity in the ring, it is time for him to get in with a better opponent and start making a statement… by 20 fights Ward was in with Kessler and Broner had been in with Ponce De Leon…

Hypematerial – more like Top Rank is doing all the spoiling keeping fighters from fighting Mares vs Nonito, Pac vs May, Broner vs Rios, Gary Russell jnr vs Mickey Garcia all these fights would be massive.

It’s Me, Ernie

Russell is without a doubt the future of the division, there’s not a nasty Limey in sight that could go even three with him…

Hype material

Top Rank and Golden boy are ruining boxing and a lot of match ups that should happen are not going to be made cos of them

Traveller..

*yawn* …Just another doped-up hype-job yankee bum. He’ll probably get an ABC belt or two, but like 99% of yank scum he’ll never be able to fairly compete with true world-class warriours.

Gary Russel hasn’t proven one thing in boxing other than beating up nobodies. For a guy that has all this hype, they should have fought someone with decent talent or a good record. He’s doing nothing but beating punching bags up. They can always look good against D level fighters, but what’s going to happen when he fights a real fighter. My questions on Russell are can he take a punch? Does he have stamina? Can he make adjustments? What happens when guys handle his punch? Can he go 12 hard rounds? Can he handle pressure? He may look great right now, but once he meets someone that will be in his face all day, my feeling is that he is going to crack. Someone please put this guy in with anyone that can fight.
