And, u can’t blame him for tryin to maximize his $ toward the end of his career…these guys, even champions, don’t make squat. Only guys makin any thing are the kilts, money, PAC, and their opponents.

Diaz win was credible (actually beat him twice) as well as the senchenko win???

Abu Dhabi’s a good choice of venue(nuetral with plenty of ca$h). I’d heard rumours that Malignaggi wanted to fight in Italy, which never came off, so could this just be talk? Paulie vs the winner of Alexander/Brook would be good for the future.

“anyone think he would beat khan at 147?” That’s a good question, KOrnerman. Amir simpy overwhelmed Paulie with his hand speed and punching power when he defeated Paulie as a jr. welterweight. Khan hasn’t slowed down either. I think second time around Paulie would fight much smarter, but Khan would still get a Decision win over him–as a welterweight. Paulie is noticeably slower than he was in his younger years. I think he carries significantly more power as a welterweight, but he is slower– when he fought Cano, Paulie struggled with Cano’s handspeed. Still, I don’t think we need to think about that scenario taking place anytime soon. Khan is still trying to re-establish himself as the top jr. welterweight. He has to rebuild his credibility. He has to become a jr. welterweight champion again before he attempts to move up to the welterweight division. I’d like to see Paulie fight Chaves and also Humberto Soto. I think Chaves is over-rated and if they fight, Paulie will beat him by unanimous decision. Humberto Soto is a whole different can of worms. He’s a world-class fighter with tons of fights under his belt and loads of experience. And even though he just won another belt, he is long past his heyday. I’d give Paulie a squeaky edge over him but Paulie will have to be very careful of Soto’s power. After all, Soto has 34 KO’s to his name. He also has two KO losses.

I agree he is a credit to the sport his win over the unbeaten Senchenko on his home turf was one of the best boxing lessons I have witnessed, he was at every disadvantage going into that and came away with a tko, ,it was great,he only gets beaten by top fighters, anyone think he would beat khan at 147?

“Pauliie knows he only has maybe a couple fights left at the top or as champion so he’s cashing out” Don’t bet on it. After a devastating loss to Amir Khan as a jr. welterweight, Paulie moved up a division and took a title no one expected him to take. In other words, Paulie came back from a devastating defeat and became a champion again. This says a lot about this man’s character, his love of the sport, and his caliber as a boxer. Sure, he’ll lose his welterweight title one day, but he’s not cashing out. He’s cashing in.
