I predict………I predict that Wladimir Knocks Out Wach
with a left hook. Probably a brutal KO at that!!
…………….Wlad KO over Wach.

Hey kid blast….wanna go for the salami ??? Wach is the lucky guy that is fighting Wladimir …when Wladimir gets ‘old’……Wach by KO…or decision

European fights …their time…come on at or about two oclock in the afternoon ..central standardtime

brandon…how old is Wladimir Klitschko…..forty ??? ok maybe not..but he’s closer to forty than he is thirty five….

Forty or so…..is when you just slow down…and lose a step or a half…..maybe Wach is the guy that is there when those birds come home to roost

We know Klitschko will be very prepared….but that’s nothing new….I’d say Wach will be as tight and trim as god will allow him……so…it should be interesting……lotsa thunder

Posted August 30, 2012 8:47 pm

bikermike

I love this guy…Wach….great rapier sense of humour……Hope he can stand and deliver….I;m on his side….no disrespect to Wladimir Klitschko
Wach is a live underdog….the fight of his life….I just don’t think he will squander his preperation time. Wach may be the first guy Wlad met …that is tight and trim….big and strong…with skills

Posted August 30, 2012 8:41 pm

philly shell

For Wach’s sake, i hope he watched Wlad’s fight with Lamon Brewster dozens of times. Brewster only won because he quit trying to box and just threw everything he could at Wlad until something landed. That seems to be Wach’s only chance.

OK…I’ll bet two Kg of shaved Hungarian Salami…on Wach…win or ko

Posted August 30, 2012 8:38 pm

bikermike

Or…is this gonna be a cupla decades old version of the rope a dope….Wlad lets the big Wach get winded…as Wlad has great defence….and Wach does the ‘george foreman’..and can’t swing anymore at or about round six…seven..eight

Posted August 30, 2012 8:36 pm

bikermike

Of the two Klitschko lads….Wladimir is considered the least agressive. Without the fear of being overwhelmed….maybe Wach can get in a few…..all it takes is one.

Posted August 30, 2012 8:34 pm

hey Wach….go for the knock out…..Bradley knows what happens if you just get the nod over a media darling

I’m not entirely disagreeing with you, but keep in mind the Klitschkos already beat just about everyone in the Top-10. So it’s either young blood, or rematches of fights that were not close enough to merit rematches.

Wlad going to bound Wach face are you kiddin me? plz.

Wach is certainly no Chuck Wepner.. He’s not slow at all.. His defense isn’t horrible.. And he has a fair jab, just not a great jab like Wladimir has.. Wach sets his combinations up real well and sits down on them — that was the biggest difference between Wach and Fields, who were nearly the same size. Fields has no explosive power and doesn’t drill combinations, but for some reason he was really confident going into their fight. Fields did tag Wach with some nice jabs and some full steam straight lefts, but they didn’t even draw a blink from Wach, so it was just a matter of time … Wach’s best chance is attack Wladimir like Corrie Sanders did. But Wladimir couldn’t clinch at all for Sanders – and today he clinches like a bear trap. So it’s a matter of Wach getting close enough to rip combinations and staying far enough away to keep from being grabbed and hugged to death.. Wladimir will probably jab the crap out of him though, and get to him with that great right hand and left hook. I make Wladimir an 8-1 favorite, because Wach is so big, strong, and tough, doesn’t know how to lose a professional fight, and is going to be pumped as Hell.. He’s the kind of guy, like Sanders, who will go for broke.

He’d need an enormous sense of humor and a screw loose somewhere to believe he has a shot in Hades against Wlad. Not that Wlad is unbeatable. But I’ve seen this guy fight. He’s slow as mollases, has horrible defense, and no jab. He’s is made-to-order for Wlad.

somehow, this may look interesting on german television. Wlad may have to fight if he can’t hurt this guy’s chin.

Right Kid Blast… If you were a spy captured by enemy forces, Wach is not the guy you’d want to see in the interrogation room. Especially if he was setting up a water board in there.

I am a bit nervous as a Klit fan. This guy is huge and has bigger chin than Jay Leno. That said, Klit is better at finding a chin than anyone Wach has faced as Tark accurately points out. Klit KO.

I’ll say this. If I ran into Wach and Valuev in a dark alley, I’d break the 100 yard dash record. Those guys should go to Hollywood in their next life.

Also the neck. The Pole who whipped Glen Johnson’s ass had a pin head on top of a thin neck and he still took Glen;s best shots.

He-he! Mariusz Wach will eat those words up when he is up in the ring and will face Wladimir Klitschko. There is a reason that Wladimir is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and best heavyweight in the world and that is becouse he dominates his opponentts but then again evrything can happen in boxing and one good punch can change it all. Still 202 cm tall Poland born Mariusz “The Viking” Wach (27-0-0 KO’s 15) undefeated rewcord is not direct filled with impressive fight victories but to his credit he have knocked out 2 known contenders like Tye Fields (TKO 6) and Kevin McBridge (KO 4), and captured some small title belts like TWBA, WBC Baltic, and WBC International heavyweight titles to his record. But he is 32 years old and not directly a super young challanger and not enough to make him to that “thretning opponent” for Wladimir on the paper but I feel that Wach mabey is alot more then his record so far tells us and that he can puch and press Wladimir to his limits so I look forward for this fight.

This guy is going to get dealt with bad. I can reach that chin from here. Round three or four KO for wlad. Win against another bum, how proud you must be!

Posted August 30, 2012 3:56 am

TARK

Just because a guy has a jutting chin doesn’t mean a thing. Doesn’t mean he can’t take a shot on it. A strong chin often means a better bite, and a great bite, and a great set of chops, often means a sturdier chin. Most of the head shots you take land on the cheek, ear, temple, nose, forehead, top of the head, about anywhere but the chin. But Wladimir will be better at finding Wach’s chin than anybody he’s ever faced.

It’s Me, Ernie…

I agree, for a part time fighter he sure had Vlad’s number. Way too fast, slick and just out fought him. Before Vlad could reset, there was already another big punch in his grill. Classic…

Wach has a “perfect” record because he beat Kevin McBride last year – a 39 year old washed-up pug who has one win in 7 years! Even is Wach is good (I admit I have never seen him fight), how would fighting the likes of Tye Fields or McBride prepare him for the challenge of a Kiltschko?

Posted August 30, 2012 12:27 am

Well you need to get informed because Thompson and Mcline both had longer reach than Wlad. I think Ray Austin had the same reach as him so your comment has been rendered void. Not tryin to be rude.

Posted August 30, 2012 12:23 am

righthook

Yeah Wlad will topple this guy easily, it`s no real challenge. Wlad has always done well against the big guys too because they offer him the obvious target and he always tags them eventually. I think Wlad has also come into his own with aggression and clearly believes in his power these days. Short but painful night for Wach I`m afraid.

Posted August 30, 2012 12:20 am

If Wach hangs that huge jaw out there, Wladimir is going to tag
it and KO Wach. TIMBER…………………………………….thud!!

Posted August 29, 2012 11:46 pm

Wach vs Wlad is interesting because for the first time Wlad is looking up and taking on a guy who is taller with a longer reach. This has never happened before. Wach does not have the skill or athletic ability of Wlad but who has??? Wach has a perfect record, smashed at least two other big men brutally and has never been knocked down or hurt in 29 fights. He is a good big man. Not great but good and that will make an interesting fight.

You know? There were a tremendous number of heavyweights in the past who didn’t beat anyone good to get a title shot.. How about Jean Pierre Coopman, Alfredo Evangelista, Richard Dunn, Chuck Wepner etc.? The deal is, guys just try to build an impressive undefeated record and get a big money title shot.. Or else the Heavyweight Champion picks somebody to fight out of the blue because they have a good record, are popular, or they’re easy to beat … It’s been going on for generations.

Posted August 29, 2012 10:31 pm

I don’t see a lack of African-Americans.. Deontay Wilder is 24-0 with 24 KO’s.. Joe Hanks is coming up and Tomasz Adamek is afraid to fight him.. Seth MItchell is undefeated and coming on like gangbusters.. Bryant Jennings totally dominated a former Heavyweight Champion … When these guys break through they definitely will make a bigger impact than any American in the last decade … and there’s more on the way.

Mercer would not KO Arreola in the first round. That’s just talking out your bottom. First of all, Mercer lost a UD to Jesse Furgeson, a worn out pug who lost to Anders Eklund. Mercer was extremely lazy and inconsistent. Mercer was whipped by 43-year-old Larry Holmes. Arreola would probably go the distance with Mercer in a very tough fight, because he’s lazy too. Chris has the height and reach on Ray and is a little quicker with his hands, but that fight could go either way. Mercer was super tough, but not quick or crafty, and neither is Arreola particularly, but he’s very tough. Mercer was better than guys like Tommy Morrison, who had 2 left feet, but he never beat a really talented young heavyweight outside of Damiani. Ray caught Damiani with a lucky shot when he was way behind on points. Ray was the number one contender a couple times. Arreola was up there once, and was way overrated at number one, but he’s nowhere now. There are better heavyweights around who could beat Mercer.

So by your reasoning it only matters the color the fighters skin on how good they are?

Posted August 29, 2012 9:36 pm

the heavyweight division is poor now because of the lack of really good African Americans boxers in the division, Arreola and Tony Thompson are two of the best american since 5 years now and that two guys will never be into the US top-10 by the past, and believe me; the prime Ray Mercer will destroy Arreola in one round! and the prime Mercer was not into the top-5 in america 20 years ago

Wach is a little taller than McCline, and his reach is 82″ … He’s Almost 6’8″ and actually looks down at Wladimir.

Posted August 29, 2012 8:46 pm

Whenever you have 2 dominant Heavyweight Champions, ruling for 9 or 10 years running, you can run out of heavyweight challengers — especially when cowards like Valuev, Povetkin, and Boystov won’t fight them.. Look at ANY Heavyweight Champion in history who got into the teens in title defenses—and you see the lack of impressive challengers they had to choose from. Joe Louis fought Jack Roper and Tony Galento back-to-back, and they had over 60 losses between them. They were pathetic.. Ali fought Leon Spinks who had 7 fights.. Holmes fought Marvis Frazier who had 10 fights.. There is actually more talent today because there are more countries worldwide gearing up their boxing programs for Olympic and other competitions, and professional training programs are expanding — because Europeans love Boxing as much or more than Americans these days …. That’s where all these huge heavyweights are coming from, Europe, but in the last couple of years America has begun to take up the slack, and we’ll be seeing the results soon.

“and being the first fighter that can look directly into Klitschko’s eyes”
He is not the first fighter to watch WK directly in his eyes. Ask Jameel Mcline. Same height as Waldo but a little more reach….

I didn’t ask why isn’t this guy isn’t fighting these others guys. I’m asking why hasn’t he FOUGHT any of them? I mean he has an unblemished record and is going to get a title shot, yet he has somehow bypassed the ENTIRE top-10. That’s the equivalent of going from the minor leagues to suddenly having a starring role in Game 7 of the finals at the professional level.

Hi Genius – the “biggest” (literally) name on his list of opponents is Tye Fields! He has also fought Kevin McBride a year ago. This qualifies him for a title shot? You must be a serious boxing fan!

Why hasn’t this guy fought: Fury, Arreola, Chagaev, Boystov, Helenius, Pulev, Haye or Adamek? … Fury and Pulev are busy now, Arreola still not ready, Chagaev and Haye been beaten and did nothing to gain shot at Wlad again, Boytsov is unwilling to step up and Adamek is still sharping his skills. It has to be two to the dance, the biggest disapointment so fat is Povetkin who acts like Wlad does not exist.

Wach looks and fights nothing like Eklund… Eklund couldn’t box, punch, defend, or move… Besides Witherspoon, Damiani, and Bruno also beat Eklund very easily, so he was no great shakes even in Europe.

why have I never heard of this guy? maybe because he is in his 30′s and never beaten (or fought) a top-rated current heavyweight. this fight seems to be a joke.

Posted August 29, 2012 7:07 pm

TARK

Wladimir only lost 3 fights, aside from fights he’s had with his brother, but all 3 ended in KO losses for him.. I don’t if Wach has a Vitali-like chin, but he seems to absorb punches with ease.. He’s never been down … It must be remembered that none of the heavyweights who beat Wladimr were good boxers — but they were all very rugged guys who could absorb a lot of punishment without flinching. At 6’8″X250 and a neck that doesn’t quit, Wach fits that mold.. He’s probably the biggest, tallest man Wladimir has ever fought and has better and more sophisticated weapons then the guys who stopped Wladimir.. MW moves and circles well, sets and fires combinations much better than Tomasz Adamek, and exudes ring generalship. So for my money ti’s going to be a very tough and entertaining fight.

This guy Wach will be exposed very badly. People will again fault Wladimir for fighting bums. Wladimir WILL knock this man out in the 2nd or 3rd round. That you can take to the bank. Really. No kidding. This is a total mismatch. Wladimir could beat this guy with the jab alone. When he drops the right hand, it will be goodnight. BET ON IT !!

Posted August 29, 2012 5:53 pm

hmmm

This guy looks terrifying in this pic but having Youtubed him he looks a bit fat and very slow. This guy has very little chance of catching Klitschko. Tye Fields taking you 6 rounds isn’t a great record imo (the Cuban guy that lives in Ireland ko’d him in 1 round.)
