McEwan is a nice slick boxer if he had good power he could have gone straight to the top. But sadly he lacks that big punch…but good-luck to him.

Nice to see boxing back in Dundee. I remember Jimmy Croll, Scottish Welterweight champion and contender for British honours headline in The Caird Hall. His brother Dave was useful too. Norman Tenant was another Dundonian who held the Scottish Flyweight title. I’m talking all of sixty years ago.

This is a chance for McEwan and Limond to show their class. If they don’t they’re going nowhere. I think Windsor against Morby could be a bit of a 50/50, particularly at 12st. Can that be the right weight?
Drummond showed promise as an amateur but Edgar wont let him have it all his own way. Clark and McElvie will keep the audience entertained and if Youssef’s in the mood, Clark’s going to be tested.
Good bill. Wish I could attend.

Mix has sewn it up with his post!

Barker has some serious problems and at his age time’s running out if he can’t overcome his camp issues.

I only noticed McEwan during the Lee fight and it’s a shame he blew himself out like he did.

Saunders for me and I’d have my bollocks on this kid dominating in two weights eventually.

Kid has it all and not only can he box, he seems like he loves to fight and has massive heart!

Good post Mix!

I’ve followed McEwan’s career for years & allthough he deserves a lot of credit for fighting in the USA, believe he should have also fought in the UK. By this stage in his career he should have been Scottish Area Champion & fought for British, EBU & Commonwealth titles. The Middleweight division is blessed with a lot of talent right now & it’s not 100% certain who’s #1. Martin Murray amazingly still holds the British title(until the BBBofC strips him for not defending) Darren”Sick Note”Barker’s been put back on hold again, but will come back, Commonwealth champion Billy Joe Saunders is on the case “BIG TIME”! Then throw John Ryder, Nick Blackwell, Kerry Hope + up & comers Mark Heffron & Chris Eubank JR into the equation & there could be some decent fights @ 160lb in the UK “IF” the promotors can get together & work for the sport & not there bank managers!
