My bad…..skills AND conditioning comprise the rest!! Cunningham has a muscle laden style, seemingly with little control over his body when he throws punches, he doesnt have what it takes to even beat a DORKY Furys style. That size Fury has will work well against the guy with the battleship name(pretty funny)…..I dont think heavyweights are afraid to fight fury, I simply think they dont take him seriously enough to even truly consider him, but he does seem to be turning into a viable option for any heavyweight….he’s determined….which can turn out to be scary for anyone he happens to face!

Fury has a dorky look and style in the ring, but his determination is far from dorky! He’s one of those mentally tough people that are simply amazing to me. They “believe” in themselves with ONLY confident mental, self serving, positive feedback…kinda like Mayweather, Hopkins and Naseem Hamed etc.. Guys like these “feed” their talent or lack thereof by positive imaging! They have the MAIN quality that comprises MOST of what a boxer or any athlete MUST have – which should comprise 80 to 90% of overall ability. Skills comprise the rest. I do think Wladimir will end his reign though. But, by the time they fight, Furys mindset will have nourished his skills enough to give Wladimir some comp….but I dont think Fury will pull it off….not even against Vitali.

Fury has some talent but he needs a better trainer if he wants to reach his ful potential. Fury did carry the press conference lol.

WHEN Fury beats Cunningham the real test to see if he is ready for Wlad will be with Pulev. The best man would have earned their stripes to go for the title and the winner of that fight will give Wlad hell. Wlad knows this and has chosen a weak next opponent. He does not want too many difficult fights in 2013 but will have a hard test after he smashes Pianetta.

Sorry Steve, Fury is too big for you mate. UD 12 rounds similar to the Johnson fight

Price did get knocked out, so did Vladimir v Sanders, knocked out, not sure if Price will get back from that, maybe, he should of got Thompson out of there quickly, if he has dodgy chin.

fight aficionado…price faced tony Thompson, far better than Cunningham. see how that turned out? fury is on borrowed time.

Fred, OneInchPunch is right!

Fury ain’t funny and there’s no way anyone who weren’t a Didicoy would stand for his company.

The funniest thing about Fury, are his Twitter followers who say “my wife/girlfriend really likes you, can you give her a re-tweet”.

Posted March 16, 2013 1:19 am

I don’t get how people give Cunningham the slightest hope in hell of EVEN testing Fury, let alone winning a round?

I do agree Price, Wilder and Fury are excellent prospects but we got more. Pulev and Mago have some fire to them. Also remember Jennings is undefeated and facing good comp. Boytsov is talented too, if his body can hold up. If US TV would get behind all these guys we’d have tons of great heavyweight rumbles to watch. They’re not doing it now because the jerks won’t pay for it, since US heavyweights have been in the doldrums. HBO and Showtime took their ball and went home.

Whether you like Fury or not, it’ll be a blow to the heavyweight division if he looses to Cunningham. The same goes for Wilder. It’s also a shame Price was KO’d. For the past year, Price, Fury, and Wilder were the only up and comers with enough fire in the belly to keep the division alive.

Textbook Hayelord

Fury is good for boxing, he’s hilarious (sometimes unintentionally). I agree with the guy who said he’s a better trash talker than Haye, but, let’s see if he can walk the walk.
Fury really should do a number on Cunningham, but i can’t see him beating a Klitschko.

“wake me up when fury grows a pair, and faces someone who can punch.” – Cunningham’s a good heavyweight. Who else is facing better comp among the young up and comers?

… got to admit, the european heavyweight scene (the uk included) has been pissing all over the USA heavyweight scene for years …. over a decade.

I enjoyed it and it will help ticket sales. Im going with Fury but I feel that Cunningham will play his part in a good fight. I love Fury’s bravardo at times and he got carried away here but it was fun to watch. Love the fact that Fury is calling out Wladimir and trying to create interest in the match-up. Fury is playing the game and getting his name out there. The heavyweight division needs characters like Fury.

HAHA, European level fighters. There hasn’t been an american heavyweight to win a belt in 7 years. That belt was picked up from one European and given back to another European. People in the US really do believe that the world outside is like the minor leagues and everyone can’t wait to get in. The propaganda worked on this idiot.HAHA, European level fighters. k-2-fan I hear you,but Fury will sell tickets if he keeps winning.People paid just to see somebody smash Ali,but he sold tickets and brought a new intrest to boxing at the time.Fury might do something like that aswell,as long as he keeps pushing forward.

What an empty headed windbag ! He’s going on like as though the Klitchkos are running
from HIM ??? As I recall , when Wlad was starting to run out of opponents , he once
suggested Fury as a possibility but got an immediate and negative reply along the
Povetkin line ; we are not yet ready . So , now he thinks he’s ready ? I, would love to see
Wlad knock him senseless ! Unless he does it himself first !

anon. I blame rap music and alot of that crap for what we are seeing. You dont see guys shooting at each other because their from a different hood or from the east side of the country instead of the west side over in finland or norway or places like that they dont fall for that crap.

1 inch pn…What the hell do you mean high horse??I was just giving my background relating to my comment. My wife is from Morocco I dont care where people are from,I was making a point on modern culture we see in the states where I live. And its not inner city culture all over the world today being the same.Americas crime rate is 11,877,218 highest in the world then U.K. 6,523,706 then Germany 6,507,394 then France then Russia.America leads by a long shot, and its a place where there are food stamps, shelters,a place where people dont have to commit crimes to eat theres not a great reason for it.Again I never said travelers were angels if you read my post,I was saying there culture isnt as degradeing as some of the culture your seeing inside the states where people are becomeing proud of their crime rates, and their murder rates wearing it like a badge of honour.Killing for the sake of killing.

1 inch pn…Im from America with a irish bloodline. There are travellers in the states aswell I knew a couple of them.Dont get me wrong they are no angels aswell, and I wouldnt cross them. But living by areas like Newark..Paterson..Bronx..others..gangs and crime always with weapons are common place.Kids are using weapons and killing for sneakers or just to get a name for themselfs. In Newark there is a murder a day lots of car jackings and never would we see a fist fight one on one.If guys dont use a weapon(which is very rare)then we see 5 guys against one.Im not saying the travelers are great guys but alot of times they may turn to a gun if someone crosses them something bad goes down.Unlike what we are seeing in major cities across the states where guns..gangs..violence are happening for no real reason. And the sad part the kids here and some people not even kids guys in their early 30s brag about it…they are proud of how degenerate their city has become. So Im not saying the travelers are such up right people, but their mind-set compared to the mind-set we are seeing inside alot of the inner cities across the states is a huge diffrance.

Fury saved Cunningham from making a “chump” out of his own self after describing the street code of “those who talk” then proceeding to do a whole lot of talking about himself(?!). anyway, this press conference actually did do the job of creating some interest and even suspense for this bout. win or lose, i’m hoping Cunningham is able to get inside and test Fury’s jaw and chin before the final outcome, which is at the core of every respectable street code.

Anonymous – i don’t think you have been to the campsite in Thamesmead….. the words “shorn-off” & “shotgun” come to mind. they fist fight against each other but anyone else would run the risk of a knife attack or bullet.

It does seem funny saying to a traveller that you’ve been fighting since you were 13 because you come from Philadelphia. Most travelers would have been fighting for a decade by then.

Hey, That’s My Bike!!!

Fury will lose. He is scared already. Cunningham will be in and out for 12 rounds. Easy UD.

Fury is a fool… sorry but he’s not even funny… its more delusion due to the stiff he’s fought… the first real challenge and fighter he was going to be forced to face … like it or not… was going to be D. Price. and he run-away. Big Mick has brought him along nicely but he will be found out…. maybe not by S. Cunningham… he will look to fight for the world title against a K bro. As a loose from one of these two and he can find a way back but against a Euro level fighter hell find it hard. I’d like to see Tyson Fluffy face D. Haye… good british £££ fight and Haye would KO this joker!!!

Posted March 15, 2013 5:27 am

Fury needs to keep fighting European level fighters he’s not ready for world class opposition. Fury has a couple ways to win this fight
One way is gift decision and his other chance is if Cunningham takes a dive.
