26.06.07 - By Tony Nobbs: Anthony Mundine makes the first defense of this, his second reign as World Boxing Association super middleweight “regular” champion tonight when he meets little known Argentine product Pablo Zamora Nievas at the Gold Coast Convention Center.
At Monday's press conference the pair came face to face with number 15 contender Nievas looking the bigger man. He will have a decided size advantage over the Australian phenomenon but that's about as good as it will probably get. With 12 knockouts ion his 17-1-1 record he has reasonable power but he has not faced anything like Mundine, who is probably the only remote threat to either Calzaghe and Kessler as number one 168 pounder today. continue l
