Ike Enwereuzor/Jacboxing.com

Forty-three seconds. That's all it took for heavyweight contender Jameel "Big Time" McCline to stop former world title challenger Michael Grant on July 21, on Mosley-Stone at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. "I wanted to make a statement and I did" said McCline. he has no prior amateur experience before he turned pro in 1997

McCline from Port Jefferson, NY now (26-2-3) 16KO's is expected to make his next outing on Saturday December 1, against Lance Goofi" Whitaker at Jacob Javtis Center in New York City.

How would you describe your fight with Michael Grant on July 21 in Vegas? Did you expect the fight to end that quick?
I knocked him out in one. But I must tell you I adore Grant for his talent, he has the potential to still become a world champion. I want to see him come back. If I had a choice I would have choose to fight lance Whitaker first. At that point it was spiritual and I was very focused but didn't expect it to end that quick but I knew I'll catch at some point.

Why is that?
because Michael Grant beat some top guys like David Izon, Al Cole, Savarese and Golota.

How long have you been training for this with Whitaker?
I have been training for long. I was going to the City to train the day the terrorist attack took place.

Your impression of "Goofi" Whitaker?
He's big, strong and an effective fighter but I know I'll beat him. I'm prepared to come home with the victory.

Any predictions?
I don't know when or how it will end but I'm just coming home with the WBC Intercontiential title.

What do you remember most from your pro debut?
The only thing I can remember is that I was so nervous when i took off my shirit.

Your hobbies?
No hobbies but spending time with my daughter. maybe I can say boxing is my hobby.

How did you get your ring name "Big Time"?
A friend of mine gave it to me long time ago because I was just kicking ass.

What should fans expect from you on saturday?
It will be a heal of a fight don't blink.

What do you want to accomplish in Boxing?
I want to be the best and stay in the picture for a while. Every fighter wants to be a champion.

How important is this upcoming fight to you?
Every fight is very important to me, the more I win the better I become. After this I should be on top 10 list and I'll stay there untill I fight for the world title.
