29.10 - IBF junior welterweight champion Zab "Super" Judah (Photo: ZabJudah.com) from Brooklyn, NY now (27-0) 21KO's prepares for his upcoming unification battle with WBC/WBA champ Kostya Tszyu on November 3, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to decided who's the true undisputed 140 pounder champion of the world. This event will televised on Showtime.
Judah is getting ready for his showdown with Tszyu at Spartan Boxing gym, West Palm Beach, Florida. Here's what the IBF champ had to say..
Thanks for your time, champ. How is training coming along for your fight with Tszyu?
It's going great, Ike.
What 's your impression of Kostya Tszyu?
He's a good fighter.
How would you describe your speed to Tszyu's?
What speed? Kostya got no speed. My main key will be speed and power we all know the speed is power.
What's your views on the Tszyu-Mitchel fight?
I saw the fight. Kostya took Sharmba out of his game plan.
How ready are you for this fight?
I'm 125% ready.
Describe your last fight with Vester?
I trained very hard for that fight. I knocked him out in 3
How is Daniel preparing for his fight in Long Island, NY?
You should ask him but he's doing good I guess.
Your impression of Hopkins-Trinidad fight?
It was an excellent fight. I predicted it.Hopkins went in and won the undisputed championship. I know I'll win mine too as Hopkins has predicted too. We can party after that.
Many see your meeting with Tszyu to be similar to Mayweather-Corrales. What do you think?
That's right. This fight will be just like that. My speed will be a big factor.
How is your relationship with father, (Yoel) ?
We've the best father and son relationship.
Zab, you were dropped at your fight with Jan Bergman. It seems like you were playing around and maybe loose a little focus. Do you plan to be a little serious this time?
I'm undefeated 27 wins no losses 21 KO's. I'm very focus for for whatever he bring to the ring.
Could you please tell us what happened few months ago when it was reported
that you were robbed in Brooklyn?
Zab hands the phone to his father Yoel who finished up by talking for Zab.
Ike, you know Zab is only 23 years old. He's still a kid. He wasn't robbed, he was just stupid wasn't thinking. He was in the hood, a danger at 12 mid night. What do expect, the guys didn't know it was him untill after the event. Zab had 3 chin on, Rolex watch and bracelet, we got them back the next day.

19.10 - Three-time kickboxing world champion Yoel Judah father and trainer of undefeated IBF junior welterweight champion, Zab Judah (28-0) with 21KO's
Yoel, a 7 degree belt holder and three-time world champion has been on his son's corner since his amateur till now. Trainer Yoel, IBF jr welter champ Zab and his brother unbeaten light heavy contender Daniel Judah are preparing for their November clash dates. Zab is expected to battle WBC/WBA 140 pound champion Kostya Tszyu on November 3 for a unification clash at MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Daniel will return to action on November 9, in Long Island, New York.
The Judah family with their sparring partners are currently at Spartan Gym, in West Palm Beach, Florida. With me here on phone is Yoel Judah.
How is preparations for Tszyu-Judah clash?
Things are going beautiful.
What's going on there in camp as Zab gets ready for Kosyta?
Everything is going good, Daniel is being working with Montell Griffith. We got Kasim Oumah here and even Tim Witherspoon.
What did you think of Mike Tyson fight last week?
He had nobody in front of him. I don't know. I don't know. I know he stopped Nelsen anyway.
How is Zab looking for his showdown with Tszyu?
Zab is looking sharp and fine tuning. This will be an easy fight for us. He's going to see. I'm glad he sees us as an easy opponent.
Your impression of Kostya Tszyu?
He's a soild good fighter and strong with good punching ability. But he'll see what Judah is made up of, steel. He thinks we're going to run, I don't think so, we never did never will. He'll be amazed by this kids power that night, he'll see the solider and the war-dogs. He'll realise this kid is the real thing.
How would you describe Zab's last fight with Vester?
I think we did what we had to do to shot him down. He ran all night but Zab caught him finally with some good body shots. Zab can hit hard and he'll surprise people that night. He'll shock Kostya.
What's next for Zab if he pass by Kostya?
We don't know yet. We're looking at one thing now and that's Kostya Tszyu. It will be a fight one wants to kill the other wants to box. Kostya is in a heal of ride. Sharmba run and throw punches you can't do that, we're the rough war dogs. We got all the tactics and we got it if he decides to play dirty too. I'll tell the comissioner to make sure they keep it clean. This is no kickboxing or wrestling, lets keep it boxing. I'm a three-time kickboxing champion in 7th degree, I have fought in Japan and many places in the world. I know about tough fighting. The way I prepare my son, Zab. He's like a steel. So for us this fight will be easy. First 3 rounds will tell. Don't blink or go to the bathroom. I think after this he'll have to move up to 147 pounds. I've kept him at this class since his amateur that's 10 years now. Of cause, we would like to face Shane Mosley but he's trying to move to 154 pounds. I can't blame him and his father Jack, I understand, I can't knock his father. Nobody can match Mosley speed but Judah. I think Mosley could win a title at 154 pounds but may realise that that class is too much for him so he may come back down and we may meet someday. This is business. It will be a mega fight to face Zab Judah after we unify the 140 pounds division..
Any comment to the Judah fans?
We're improving everyday and doing what we gotta do to beat Tszyu. We thank all our fans for coming out and one day we we'll like to give back to the community.
How is Daniel doing?
Daniel is doing fine. He's getting ready for his fight on Nov. 9 in Long Island, New York. He's been working with a lot of world class fighters both light heavy and heavy. He's (13-0) 8KO's. He'll be ready for his opponent.
How much has Zab improved since his professsional debut till now?
We're doing what we gotta do. We have 28 fight no losses, Mickey Ward know how tough we're. Zab has won his last 10 fights all by knockout.
