Blackpool’s Ellis to Illuminate Wembley Show

18.03 - Audley Harrison’s boxing advisor Colin McMillan, has announced that assuming the Olympic champion comes through his next test, against Serbia’s tough Ratko Draskovic, on Saturday 29th March at the Wembley Conference Centre, he is set to face Blackpool’s dangerous Mathew Ellis.

Sports Network’s former hot prospect Ellis, who has a record of 17 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, has been added to the Wembley bill.

McMillan stated “Audley is in tremendous shape at the moment, and is benefiting from excellent sparring in the shape of Terry Dixon and former British Heavyweight champion Michael Holden.

In 2003 Audley will make a major impact on the British scene, and this will become apparent in the upcoming fights. Contracts have been signed and provided Audley wins on the 29th, Mathew Ellis will be his next opponent on a date still be announced”.

McMillan continued “Mathew has known about the fight for some time, and negotiations have now been finalised. He is very confident he has the ability to beat Audley and has had ample time to train.

Providing he comes through his fight on March 29th and looks good, the match is a certainty to take place and I for one am looking forward to what should be an excellent contest, deserving main event status.

This fight will silence those critics who have constantly been calling for Audley to face a credible British opponent”.

The Wembley show will be sponsored by Cantor Sport (www.cantorsport.co.uk) the sports spread betting specialists and will be shown live on BBC 1.

Ticket prices are £75 (ringside), £60, £40 and £25. These can be obtained by calling Wembley Conference Centre on 0870 739 0739 or UK Presents on 01707 275 902.
