Collins Promotions Hosts a WBC CA Light Heavyweight Title Fight & Concert

"Showdown at the DAC"

30.06 - Collins Promotions, LLC will host a WBC CA Light Heavyweight Title Fight, and Concert on July 18th 2003, at the Dekalb Atlanta Centre. The event will feature current WBC CA Lt. Heavyweight Champion Donnell Wiggins, and WBF Lt. Heavyweight Champion Dean Williams in a 12 round Championship fight. Also featured, will be So So Def Hip Hop Recording artist, "Bone Crusher" performing in concert immediately after the boxing event.

"As done in the past, the match and concert will be webcast live at www.sportstream.tv. We have experienced tremendous success in broadcasting events over the internet, and intend to continue to do so. To further interest the viewer, Collins Promotions, LLC has entered into an agreement with WBA, WBC, IBF Champion Bernard Hopkins to assist as ringside boxing analyst, and color commentator. Bernard Hopkins is an extremely intelligent, and spirited champion, and we are delighted to have him on board as analyst for this event" say's Promoter Steve Collins.

The "Showdown at the DAC" boxing extravaganza will feature:

Donnell Wiggins 15-2 WBC CA Lt. Heavyweight Champ Vs Dean Williams 16-3 WBF Lt. Heavyweight Champ

Jorge Lacierva 21-5-4 NABO Bantamweight Champion Vs Jose Garcia 22-10

Ceasar Esquivel 11-2 World Ranked Welterweight Vs TBA

Terri Moss 3-4 No. 2 Ranked Female Strawweight Vs Deidre Hamaguchi

Calvin Shakir 6-1 World Ranked Welterweight Vs Walter Gilliam 1-1

Auturo Guillen 9-4 World Ranked Middleweight Vs Joe Harris 2-1

Oscar Castro 3-1 World Ranked Featherweight Vs Leshun Blair 1-0

Tickets for the event are priced at $30.00, $40.00, $50.00, $75.00 VIP Ringside, and Tables for $750.00. Doors open at 7:00pm with the first bout starting promptly at 7:30pm. The concert is slated to begin at approximately 11:00pm.
