I went and watched Jason Kanofski fight for that welterweight title only a month or so ago (although it wasnt sanctioned cause Tongia didnt make weight) Tim had his first pro fight that night I am pretty sure he was a middle weight? I think Lambert is about a middle as well? Hey sally are you sure its for the welter title? If so Jason must of vacated it straight away.

Fantastic night out in Gatton. The crowd was awesome and we were looked after very well. Noel put together a good night of entertainment for the locals, Hopefully they appreciate it and show support for the next one.
Main event was a scorcher, Jeezuz Fitzy is a tough dude, we were very happy to come through unscathed and injury free for the next fight in 2 weeks.
Phil, sorry we didn't get a chance to catch up after the fight, I owe you a coke mate so hopefully we get a chance to hang out a bit on the coast promo.
BTW, Steve Marshall did a great job reffing that bout!

Team Piper. Just wondering what was the thinking with taking a fight 2 weeks before a shot at the Aussie title? Did you think Les needed the work, to shake of cobwebs? Interesting move, and not something you see every day. Good luck.

Hi Ippy, Mate the truth is that we were offered the Gatton fight before the Aussie title shot. I wanted to pull out of the fight but we did the right thing by Noel. Come see me at the fights mate and I will give you the whole story, Bottom line is we took a chance, trained super hard, and it paid off.
50 years ago mate they would have had 4 fights in 2 weeks. It is just uncommon these days is all. haha

Mate, We take our hats off to Fitzy....He was super tough and I do not know how he stood up to those shots for 8 rounds. Full credit to him and Noel for a great fight.
Izzy is a tough customer for sure, We are looking forward to a good, hard fight!
