This is good news. He may have done well against Diaz, but Diaz is CLEARLY not on the level where Morales should even have trouble with him. Good move - hope it sticks. Five years and he'll be in the Hall. :yep

This is kind of sad to hear. I mean, I'm glad for the sake of his health, but I'd almost rather he'd have quit after a decisive loss such as Pac III than under such bittersweet circumstances as these sound to be.

Didn't he call it quits after the Pac fight? We shall see.

1-5 in his last 6. he's done. someone with that much pride wouldn't risk falling any further than that.

What's happening to boxing? Bad decisions left and right. I thought Morales won convincingly. Look at the stats Morales landed more, he even scored a kd on the 1st rd. It would have been a sweeter exit for one of Mexico's finest warriors. Hats off to a great warrior!

Good for him! For a guy who's just 30-years old, he has brought some truly memorable moments. He'll be immortalized. Even in a hypothetical HoF that's much more strict than the present one, he'd be a shoo-in for first ballot.

I certainly hope that he's serious this time.

One would hope.

I hope that's the case, he has nothing to prove.

just bad to see he has lost his last 4 fights consecutively..how would a boxer feel about that once he's retired?
well i think that was what prompted him to pursue this fight against a weak beltholder at a weight where he'd ostensibly be less drained...i don't think he actually had any notion of being a fixture at 135, my feel is he just wanted to go out with a decent win. :verysad
