He's given so much to his fans. He left his heart and his sould in the ring. You cannot ask more from him.

Morales was a truly great warrior who always fought for his fans, he always fought the best and was fearless in the ring. Now i hope he retires and enjoys all the money he earned

but in my book he isn't HOF.

How is he not HOF worthy to you?

He won titles at super bantamweight, featherweight, and super featherweight while having 15 title defenses. He has wins over Barrera, Pacquiao, Jesus Chavez, Carlos Hernandez, Daniel Zaragoza, In Jin Chi, Wayne McCullough, Paulie Ayala, Kevin Kelley, Junior Jones, etc. Not only was he a great fighter, but he gave fan's their money's worth and left it all in the ring. He's a true warrior and should be a first ballot HOFer

His win over Manny Pacquio was his last great performance .There is nooooooo question he's a 1st ballot ..Anyone who thinks otherwise should stop watching boxing TODAY !

Hypocrisy of fans is in full force.....EM was a complete racist and made plenty of racists remarks as has been chronicled by Dougie Fischer, Pedro, and Steve Kim.....but fans choose to forget but bash other less popular fighters for the same indescretions.

Was Fischer also the one who wrote that article about those cocaine rumors about Morales?

Some fighters are supremely gifted

Some fighters are supremely entertaining

ERIK MORALES IS 100% BOTH

My honest opinion... next to mayweather, morales is the best fighter of the past 10 yrs, only his warriors style shortened his career but NO ONE came out on top vs a prime morales.

Long live king erik.

When you think of great fighters you think morales
when you think of great fights you think of morales

A true warrior who very rarely even clinched in a fight... macho to the highest level.

A boxer who NEVER used dirty tactics inside the ring EVEN when he was taking terrible beatings... right until the end.

A man of MANY classic battles, here`s a few....

Vs... Barrera 1,2 & 3.
Pacquiao 1, 2 & 3.
McCulloch
Chavez
Hernandez
Diaz (as gutted as I was with the verdict)
Chi
Espadas
Zaragoza
Ayala

If I had to pick 2 from that list as far a great fights goes... it would be Morales MAB 1 & Morales Pac 1... I thought Erik fought smarter vs pac but I thought the 1st mab fight was the better fight... in fact the most entertaining fight of all time that cemented the legacy of both fighters even at the tender age of 23 & 26 respectively.

Viva Morales.

Just imagine this super bantum weight tourney if they were all prime :

Barrera vs Vasquez

Morales vs Marquez

Who wins out of those gems ??

first ballot HOF'r, and earned every bit of it.
What a "FIGHTER" should be, actually cared to entertain the fans.
